The uniqlo arism tees are fantastic and they always go on sale anywhere from $9.90 to $14.90. They are my essentials brand of choice justbecause of the affordability and comfort.
Not going to lie, I just got back from Japan that was 92F with over 85% humidity for 2 weeks and the airism tanktops were a game changer. I sweat like a pig the entire time and the tanks were able to take in sweat, dry off, and repeat that several times in one day. The next day, they didn't smell at all and still felt "clean". Of course if I could, I would only wear it for one day before cleaning, but if I had to, I could wear it 2-3 days with no issues.

This is so helpful! One thing you haven't discussed is the fact that fast-fashion brands cut costs by making clothes with less fabric, which often results in clothes designed for shorter people. Great review brother. I'd love to see a breakdown of Private White VC. They're a brand out of Manchester England. They've been around since 1856. They claim that nothing is outsourced, everything is handmade. The advertise that their clothing is made of "only the finest yarns, the most luxurious cloths and the highest quality raw materials". I'd love to know what I'm paying for in terms of durability and quality of materials. Cheers
Hey Bob, Private White VC has definitely an interesting claim! Let's see if they can actually back it up, we will add it to the list😊. In terms of what you think, would you recommend this brand to other people? Also what garment in particular would you be interested in for us to review?
@@Shiftfashiongroup NICE! That's a great question. I would definitely recommend getting their pieces while they're on sale. The quality seems to be good, and they offer free "lifetime repairs." Thanks for doing one for Uniqlo AIRism, my favourite material by far. so much so I wonder what it is. Material is so soft and creamy and breathable, almost silk like
Just a minor thought here, it would be easier to see/highlight the details on the garment if you choose a light colour, such as white :) but, thanks for the content. I'm a fan of Airism, and now I know what makes it :D
What is your take on the fact that companies introduce more and more polyester in their products? From what I read is really bad when in contact with especially men’s skin.
Good fabric. But after a few washes, color/texture gets bad. Had to make sure to use less soap and no fabcon. The polyester side tends to get damaged easily. I still love Uniqlo though. I bought a lot of this shirt. I have them in 10 diff colors.
I saw your post and momentarily subscribed to your channel. Thank you so much for your insightful content and I intend to watch all the episodes and can't wait for the new ones. I have been in the Japanese textile business for more than 20 years, first as a designer, creative director and for the last few years as global marketing director. I'm curious if you ever come across functional fabrics from my company. Best regards!
How do we prevent bacteria and smell from building up on garments? As we know, we may not be doing our laundry on a daily basis and most of our clothes will sit in our laundry basket until our weekly wash
You mention the importance of washing this correctly the avoid smell - do you have any videos that cover how to wash clothes correctly? Things like temperature, wash cycle duration, detergents, etc… There are so many variables, I’m lost 😅
Usually they are mentioned on the cloth itself. At the bottom, left corner. Most of the clothes that I buy suggest a max 30°C machine wash, no machine dry. Some brands suggest no drying under direct sunlight also for materials like Linen. The clothes stay fresh for a longer period if we follow the instructions in my experience ✌🏽
thank you for the fantastic insight 😊 do you have a suggestion on how best to wash polyester clothes to get rid of smell snd stains? i frequently launder my clothes however I find using natural deodorant with baking soda or magnesium is harder to remove from the underarms. also please do clothes from MUJI. Thank youuuu
You make fashion and sewing technology sound sooo interesting Thank you.👀 You just answered why people like that brand for me. I just think its overpriced. The mall stores import that stuff from japan and thats whynits pricey in my country. I USED TO THINK its just the brand thats why theyre buying it. Now I know why some people buy it. Its so interesting 💁🏻♀
i have airisms. Truth is that it's not good if you sweat a lot and light cotton tshirts are just better because anything polyster will just start to smell and they're quite thick. The advantage of these tshirts for me are the really smooth and high-end finish and these always staying crease-free with no need to iron them, and the great price of course.
I'm just a minute in the video and had to stop to say I'm suscribing right now. I'm trying to be more sustainable in my wardrobe without breaking the bank and uniqlo's simplicity gives me such peace of mind. Everytime i used to go london, i would go to one of v the shops, and ger b lots of compliments when i wear their clothes. Now, they opened a shop in Edinburgh where i live, so I'm afraid it won't be my little secret anymore. Thank you for your dedication in your channel and if i could request a review, i would ask for community clothing. I'm very curious about them and their reasoning for exciting and would like to have something from them, but would like to know more before committing.
I’m curious how the double knit and mix of fabrics impacts the recyclability of this fabric. Can fabrics like this be reused, and are they better or worse than others for reuse?
Banana Republic makes a 50$ CAD organic cotton tshirt that I find really soft, I would love to know what you think of it. They also have some "Lux Touch" polos that are super soft you may want to take a look at. I appreciate the knowledge and insight you shared in this video!
Just watched this video, the Abercrombie video, and Reigning champ video. Would love to see a video on what brands or pieces have good construction and value
Hey RB, check out out Psycho Bunny video! It has a really good construction/workmanship rating, as well as a decent value. Here is the link to the video ua-cam.com/video/VKpIJ-ykll8/v-deo.html
Is the durability of Airism better than the Supima Tee? Been looking for T-shirts that are indestructible yet comfortable. Any other recommendations would be great!
I think the airism t-shirt is comfortable but difficult to wash and clean and that’s why I would rather go with the blank t-shirt brands like shakawear better colour options and garment dyed for better and softer hand feel.
The Airism Shirt will feel horrible on your skin after a couple of washes because of the Polyester. I would generally stay away from fast fashion brands like Uniqlo. They use slave labour and poor quality fabrics. You'll have to rebuy after a while because their products are not build to last.

You make fashion and sewing technology sound sooo interesting
Thank you.👀
You just answered why people like that brand for me.
I just think its overpriced. The mall stores import that stuff from japan and thats whynits pricey in my country.
I USED TO THINK its just the brand thats why theyre buying it.
Now I know why some people buy it.
Its so interesting 💁🏻♀
So living in humid weather, polyester is not a good choice in terms of body odor ? Cotton is better?
i have airisms. Truth is that it's not good if you sweat a lot and light cotton tshirts are just better because anything polyster will just start to smell and they're quite thick. The advantage of these tshirts for me are the really smooth and high-end finish and these always staying crease-free with no need to iron them, and the great price of course.
Great breakdown. Is Outlier's ultrafine merino t shirt on your list?
Do a Real McCoys shirt, you can get them from Lost and Found in Toronto
love airism t-shirts but not the cotton ones, the thin polyester ones are the real game changer
This is perfectly explained and filmed 🙌🏼 Subscribed straight away! Very curious about Uniqlo's cashmere if you get a chance to dig into it.
Isn't cotton bad as fabric for clothing accept for the summer?
I’m curious how the double knit and mix of fabrics impacts the recyclability of this fabric. Can fabrics like this be reused, and are they better or worse than others for reuse?
Banana Republic makes a 50$ CAD organic cotton tshirt that I find really soft, I would love to know what you think of it. They also have some "Lux Touch" polos that are super soft you may want to take a look at. I appreciate the knowledge and insight you shared in this video!
Thank you for this excellent content. I'm interested in how to clean this material of clothes to avoid from bad smell for long term.
I think you should do this with all the brands and boom, your channel will explode !
Next up Gucci ?
Can you make a video about a basic t-shirt from COS? They sell around €50 and the material seems to be of high quality
could you do urban outfitters? im interested since you break the clothing down with good constructive criticism
I prefer t-shirts from Muji, seeing you inspecting Muji t-shirts would be nice
I’d love to see a breakdown of Ten Thousand brand shirts and/or pants. Great teardown!
Airism T-shirt is pretty good in value, even in Indonesia is pretty cheap at 10 USD.
Great videos! Can you please do a review on the Uniqlo C collection items?
Uniqlo U line is different from Uniqlo's Airism line. I have all their shirts - Uniqlo U, Supima, Airism.
Which one do you wear the most?
Is the durability of Airism better than the Supima Tee? Been looking for T-shirts that are indestructible yet comfortable. Any other recommendations would be great!
I think the airism t-shirt is comfortable but difficult to wash and clean and that’s why I would rather go with the blank t-shirt brands like shakawear better colour options and garment dyed for better and softer hand feel.
Public Tokyo and united Tokyo has the best t shirts
The Airism Shirt will feel horrible on your skin after a couple of washes because of the Polyester. I would generally stay away from fast fashion brands like Uniqlo. They use slave labour and poor quality fabrics. You'll have to rebuy after a while because their products are not build to last.
@@Bickenback-y9q I have a few Airism shirts from Uniqlo for a years, washed hundred times, still holds up pretty good. Are you sure it was Uniqlo that you are talking about?
@@Bickenback-y9q Had the absolute opposite experience with AIRISM, but what brands would you say are good?
Any tips of washing out oil stains for AIRism?
So how much do you think it cost Uniqlo to make this t-shirt?
Could you review either the bylt or cuts shirts for men? Would love to see your opinion on those shirts.
