Well built and tuned BMWs hardly ever ever disappoint, but that GT500 was a beast. The more I watch these new C8Z it’s apparent that the 6.2L base and Eray are a better product.

Crazy fast G80! The other G80 m3 that came out in Auto Glory racing the gt500 went out strong and was ahead of the 500 all the time.
It did have a CF hood and rear seat delete though, and im thinking he was RWD and not Xdrive, which does rob power to push it on all 4 wheels
At these power levels it’s more advantageous to be able to put the power down with the X drive than the minimal drivetrain loss
@@rwac07 i know what you mean.. but that's for lightweight cars like hondas with them k20/24 big turbo set ups. At 950+ whp the Xdrive will favor the g80

@@chrisq593 not even close. On runs like these traction is off and these cars lose traction even in 3rd in bone stock form so X Drive makes a huge difference when they’re 700-750whp with more torque. Even on lower rolls it’s a huge advantage to have X Drive. The drivetrain loss is minimal for the traction advantage you get
Need to find some boosted c8s, them mfs push 1kwhp with just boost would’ve humbled the lil s58

Honestly, the new C8 Z06 is disappointing.
How so? It’s still on a locked ecu. Running door to door with a mid 9second g80, while only having nitrous and no tune is impressive. That thing would be way faster if tuned properly for the nitrous. (Coming from a g80 owner)

No they aren’t lol there are already multiple 1500hp c8’s and it only came out 4 years ago. Just wait until they unlock the ecu for the eray and the z06. Once people start building the engines it will be easy 2000whp+ for those 6.2L engines in the e ray and stingray

@@davothegreat9990 because that’s what the owner wants to post. In all reality corvettes in general are better performance cars than bmws. And the corvettes have more potential after you start modding them. I’ve never seen a bmw make over 2000whp+ built. I’ve never seen a bmw run 5’s quarter mile. Even stock for stock corvettes are superior over bmws on the track, drag, etc…
