Completely expected from a roll. Turbos have the advantage, especially 2jzgte's. From a dig it might have been a different story, those small tires on the MKIV Supra would not give him any traction to catch up.

That GT500's front end looks great. The Supra is overhyped and has too many problems, from building boost to missing and slipping gears, I would pick the Ford all day over it.
What😂? Missing gears is.... A manual problem across the board, genius😂😂. What's it got to do with being a supra or not? And fyi, building boost, is a problem for _every car_ with big turbos, or a procharger. It doesn't even matter if its auto or manual, both have to build boost... Again, nothing to do with the supra. I can agree its overhyped, and that it's ugly, but apart from that, you have no arguments 😂
@@_ph4nt0mzz_47 I do have the arguments. Precisely because blokes want 600 - 1000 hp from the Supra, that is why it has boost problems and that is why it is slipping and missing gears. A part of Supra's popularity comes from these aspect that it can develop big power figures, which in therm brings the above mentioned problems. And it is more a Supra related problem simply because the Supra had 200-300 hp from factory, not 600-1000 hp.

@legioner9 you sound absolutely ridiculous. The Getrag transmission in the MKIV is one of the strongest on the planet, the missed gears are human error, not mechanical. Yes the Supra had 320hp from factory, back in 1993, congrats you can read Wikipedia but the car was a world beater and still is with proper modifications. It use to be cheap to build supras then the internet found out about it and the prices have exploded.
You sound mad that you either can't afford the car or wete savagely beat by one. Appreciate that it's a well maintained internal combustion engine and keep it moving.
@@shadyshinichi2JZ Yeah, I do not use Wikipedia for when searching for car info. For the Supra, it happens I know its factory aprox. hp. Just like I do for other cars as well. It may have over 600 hp, but it ain't driving right when pushed hard. The only guy who solved Supra's issues of boost problems, clutch slipping, gears grinding (regardless how strong the gearbox is, the syncromeshes take a beating) mounted a ZF-8 speed automatic.
Supra wanted to see where the 500 was then made sure he was ready on the second run noice
People really get geeked out on these old Supras, but that GT500 looks much better and sounds like an animal in comparison! Not to mention that GT 500 has so much potential to make incredible power with simple mods!! Big fan of the Shelby because it's truly a beast of a car!

Too each his own. Gt500 sounds great, looks good too. Supra is legendary cause it’s from 1993 and forever could show up no matter the decade and put MEGA numbers down.
People get geeked out for good reason lol. The platform is legit approaching 40 years old yet still competes with a brand new car and all the advantages of tech and an automatic transmission. People have also been building 2,000 hp Supras for a LONG time. So if you wanna talk about potential it’s the Supra that should be getting the recognition for that. Not bashing the GT500, I like the car, but there’s a good reason the Supra has the following that it does.

Personally, I’d take the gt500. Went with my buddy to get his. 2020. Pretty much same exact mods, I think it dyno’d somewhere around 817 or 837, I can’t remember which one. One of those 2 tho lol. I went from 64-132 quicker than I could think. It scared the dog shit outta me 🤣 just not used to something that powerful. Say what you want, it’s still baddass man. That Supra tho???? 🥵🥵🥵 Jesus lord my guy that thing is a beaut.
