You totally had me fooled in the beginning! I've never seen Floss' face. I'm interested in the Air 2s for the design asthetic and hopefully better calls, since I love making calls while hands free. I think the Air 2s would be more noticeable in an office environment so people don't start talking to me without seeing them first.
Had the Pro for almost a month and returned them for the Air, mostly because the Pro gave me ear fatigue after a while and weren’t comfortable for longer listening sessions. I’m loving the Air as they are a lot more comfortable and the sound quality is amazing.
I've returned them back due to hiss sound. But, I'm surprised that they lack clarity, not bad, but there is place for improvement. All in all, my Samsung AKG earphones (which i got with my s8) sound actually almost the same after I tuned them using equilizer and most importantly, they don't his at all. Liberty 2 pro = dissapointment for 120$

@@Adetokunbo03 I did the update, its on 1.026..something like that. The sound is a bit too sharp for my taste. At high volume the sound should be softer, more balanced, less harsh. They got loud high notes and strong punchy bass. Idk how to explain this properly but its like you got two poles; sharp highs and strong bass..something in between is missing and id describe it as balance and softness.
@@sandrobriski3380 OK mine was like that AT first also I use the custom EQ to tame that sharpness none of the settings let me do that PIANO is my go to setting out of custom. that is why I let my BOSE go it was too sharp with no control I would be interested to know what you end up buying next.

Most people would blow off the diamond coating and coaxial architechture as marketing nonsense, but you gave a very simple explanation about it and just said, it probably doesn't mean a whole lot. That's a very small detail, but it was done right. You took the time to explain how the Pros sounded a bit better rather than just vaguely saying, when you hear it, you'll notice the difference. Great comparison! I was well impressed!

I have both of them and I go back and forth between them from time to time. But I always come back to the 2 Pros because they are just more comfortable to me.
I ended up buying both, I ran into the same problem as you S&T. For my ears, the ear fatigue after 30 minutes was painful. No matter what combination of wing/ear tips I tried unfortunately had the same result. I just found the air2s far more comfortable. The pro2s have a much deeper bass, and overall slightly better sound profile. However as you stated in the video, the Air2s are far superior. Great video S&T. Btw did you upgrade to the new soundcore firmware, you can now customize the EQ and improved call quality.
Dang sorry to hear you ended up having to get both as well, I hoped that it was just me with the strange ears. I find I don't mind having both, though depending on what I need at the time. I'm actually installing the new firmware right now!

@@ShoAndTech currently I'm in self-isolation and waiting for my cashback for Klipsch S1 (great sound, wireless charge pod comes with the headphones, but they have a lot of pairing problems, went to service twice since bying them in December, don't want to struggle anymore. Maybe you can make a video about them?). After isolation ends, gonna head to the store and find out, which sounds better for me personally (probably gonna be Pro 2, not a big fan of "golf club" form)

So I did notice the hissing that everyone is talking about but never really was cognizant of it until after people told me about it. With media saying at low volumes it wasn't noticeable, just during pauses. I've not checked out melomanias. Seem to have lots of issues getting certain brands in Canada unfortunately

@@ShoAndTech ear fatigue isn't bad at all. One time I had a tiny slight ache in one ear but then I rotated and slightly moved the ear piece and it went away. But I have them on for HOURS at a time cause I use them on my smart TV's Bluetooth to watch movies and UA-cam etc.

btw liberty air 2 tell you how much battery you have when you connect them and also if you go into the soundcore app it shows you for each earbud how much bars of light it has out of 5 corresponding to 20 percent per bar
Did you have any issues on either in regards to background white noise? I've heard specifically with the pros that that it can be quite loud especially when listening to music or podcasts at lower volume.
I can pick up on it if I turn my volume extremely low and listen for it. For me it isn't that loud or obnoxious. When listening to music and podcasts normally, or working out I don't notice a thing.

You could have gone a bit further with your Floss impression and then end by reacting with a good laugh, because that shit was funny. I’d even say you shoulda made fun of him some more too.😄 I retested the personalized hearing ID on the Pro like 8 times until I felt like I got it just right. Man they sound incredible now.🧏♂️ The fit is okay, but with all the tips and fins, they fall out when I shake my head. Fortunately, I don’t anticipate having to shake like that while wearing them. I usually run wearing the Sony SP700N with comply tips anyway, and the fins are secure.🏃♂️Plus they sound great too. The only real disappointment for me, is that they don’t have AMBIENT mode. The Sony WF’s(700N & XM3) and the SennMomentum(charging case drains fast) got me hooked on that feature. It’s nice to be able to converse or hear surroundings while jamming at low volume and never miss anything. Keep your rhythm and flow with the environment without shutting yourself in(or out). Like you prefer using one bud at a time for that purpose. I was also interested in those Air2’s, but I guess I’ll pass based on this video. Thanks for the helpful comparison.👍 ✌️

I have some degree of an addiction to the search for the perfect set(s) of listening devices. So I’ve built a resistance to the urge to taste all the flavors. Are you suggesting Jabra as a good option?
@ShoAndTech, I sub now, so I’ll be looking for your assessment. I haven’t seen your other stuff but will check it out. Do you have a top 5 or 10 or just favorites in specific categories? I have several TW sets and there is something to like about all of them while they all still leave something to be desired. I believe comply tips are sometimes very necessary even though none come with the device, except the •Lypertek Tevi (more brands should definitely have that) •Skullcandy Push XT actually fit my ears okay and I think they sound pretty good too. •JLAB air buds are comparable to them and were very inexpensive. •I love the Sennheiser Momentum sound and fit and ambient mode, but the charge case drains too fast to serve it’s purpose effectively. •I really love both my Sony’s, but there’s plenty room for improvement. •Liberty Zolo and •Sol Republic AmpsAir (1&2) all sound very good but pretty plain and not much battery. Plus, I absolutely MUST use memory foam comply tips to get the bass and to secure the hold. I got everything at super discounted prices by chance. Otherwise wouldn’t have even bothered and wouldn’t know anything about them. But I did have reasons for each pair to know I wanted them. The low cost was the decisive factor.

Just got the comply eartips with the liberty air 2's. They do fit on the earbuds, however, don't fit snuggly in the case with the foam tips on. I wouldn't recommend getting the ear tips because the case doesn't close without pinching the ear tips.
Pros don't seem that big when you put them on while working out? Do they slide a bit or are they compact if I'm laying down and getting up repeatedly. Also you mentioned they're ok for the rain...but now I'm wondering how much rain.
While working out they were very snug after going up to the largest wing tip size. I haven't had any issues with them sliding out or moving at all. Their rating should be able to withstand a good downpour, just can't handle direct streams or being submerged. Hope this answers your questions!

The fit is not as comfortable. Over time they have become more comfortable for me so I can wear them longer though.

I have several TW sets and there is something to like about all of them while they all still leave something to be desired. I believe comply tips are sometimes very necessary even though none come with the device, except the
•Lypertek Tevi
(more brands should definitely have that)
•Skullcandy Push XT actually fit my ears okay and I think they sound pretty good too.
•JLAB air buds are comparable to them and were very inexpensive.
•I love the Sennheiser Momentum sound and fit and ambient mode, but the charge case drains too fast to serve it’s purpose effectively.
•I really love both my Sony’s, but there’s plenty room for improvement.
•Liberty Zolo and
•Sol Republic AmpsAir (1&2)
all sound very good but pretty plain and not much battery. Plus, I absolutely MUST use memory foam comply tips to get the bass and to secure the hold.
I got everything at super discounted prices by chance. Otherwise wouldn’t have even bothered and wouldn’t know anything about them. But I did have reasons for each pair to know I wanted them. The low cost was the decisive factor.

I prefer the sound and bass of the 2pro. I like the fit of the jabras for everyday use and exercise though.
Which one is better for working out in gym ? I think pro would fall of my ears really quick than a2.

Unfortunately I don’t own any one more headphones. They won’t ship to Canada for review lol... Soundcore sounds great on iOS and Android though

They are compatible!
Just got the comply eartips with the liberty air 2's. They do fit on the earbuds, however, don't fit snuggly in the case with the foam tips on. I wouldn't recommend getting the ear tips because the case doesn't close without pinching the ear tips.

Liberty Air 2 is a pain in the behind when comes to merging left and right side together again . I can never get them to pair again

Pros don't seem that big when you put them on while working out? Do they slide a bit or are they compact if I'm laying down and getting up repeatedly. Also you mentioned they're ok for the rain...but now I'm wondering how much rain.
While working out they were very snug after going up to the largest wing tip size.
I haven't had any issues with them sliding out or moving at all.
Their rating should be able to withstand a good downpour, just can't handle direct streams or being submerged. Hope this answers your questions!

When nothing is playing there is a hiss with the pros. I don't notice it otherwise.
Can you also test or talk about the phone call quality in a noisy environment?

Not a huge difference no. Most of the difference is in the different EQ settings available to the Air and Pro
