The best conditions I've ever seen, flat surf and hungry Barred perch. Which has me wondering how you're catching Barred perch, when Redtail perch are predominate in NorCal (Sonoma Co. and above)... on beaches that typically have 4-5 surf with wave powers over 700. Are you way north, like around Humboldt or something?
Best months in my opinion are during Spring and Summer, but they can be caught year round. Spring and into Summer also offer the best weather and surf conditions for catching Surf Perch in NorCal. For Barred Surf Perch there is no legal size requirement. For Redtail Surf Perch it is 10.5 inches
@@JoeG480 thanks buddy, this is going to be my first time trying perch fishing. Taking kids out and all, but weather and surf around north cal around bodega bay is always bad.. windy and cold...
Nice, I like your camera angle, where do you mount your camera? head, mid chest or side chest?
Thanks Danny. Mid chest and 0.5 zoom
Is that you Roderick?
Lol, sure!

Thanks Bobby. I fish at several beaches in the Bay Area. I wish I would catch more red tail but I tend to hook up mainly with barred perch.
when's the best month to perch fish and legal sized?
