      It made no sense to me. I lived in Hubbard Hall - right by Akers - it is not near Berkey Hall or the Student Union where the shootings happened. Unless there was a 2nd shooter, if shots were reported there, it was in error. I do know that cops fanned out all over campus to tell people to shelter in place, so maybe they just panicked. And one thing that doesn't track is her claim that all the doors were locked. Locked how? And by whom? That complex has four big dorms with somewhere around 3,000 student rooms, and very few people with master keys. And WHY would they lock dorm rooms? And if her door was locked, she probably locked it when she left, and could just unlock it! It's not as if there was time to put padlocks on 3,000 doors!

      I literally go to my high school daily wondering when it's going to happen. Just a couple days ago we did a shelter in place and my brain immediately went to danger. It was just a kid who was like sick in the cafeteria or something. Obviously I'm truly sorry for the kid, but it's so so sad that I, or anyone else, will immediately jump to the conclusion that there is a threat. There's been too many incidences in the past year or so. Oxford shooting, about 40 minutes away from my high school. An 11 yr old 6th grader found with a 9mm hand gun in their locker at my brother's school, Pierce Middle School at around Christmas. The several threats at South Lyon High school constantly. There was a bomb threat at Milford High school just a few weeks ago. Now this. THIS IS JUST IN MICHIGAN!!! I've heard rumors about threats at my school and it's honestly just so terrifying to go. There are cops constantly in the high school for security reasons like such but is it even enough at this point? at this rate??? I go to school to learn, to be successful, to have a future in a career I am content with. NOT to worry if it's my last day alive, NOT to risk my life!!! I'm 16 years old and I'm worried about going to school and DYING?!?!?!? The worst part is we have shooters like this who kill off and hurt people, and then just go shoot themselves. Why?! What was the point?! What was the purpose?! What was your goal?! To not die alone?? To make other's feel sympathy for you?! NO!!!! Instead now they will go to school and picture it happening again. HOW COULD YOU BE THIS SELFISH?! AND SOME OF THESE STUDENTS WERE JUST IN THE OXFORD SHOOTING!!! NOT ONLY DID THEY HAVE TO EXPERIENCE IT ONCE, BUT TWICE?! What has society come to?! I can't even begin to comprehend the amount of trauma some of these freshmen experience due to being in TWO shootings. TWO! I haven't even been in ONE! AND THEY HAVE BEEN IN TWO!!!! Absolutely absurd and sickening. What has been done about it??? WELL CLEARLY NOT MUCH IF THERE'S BEEN ANOTHER 4 INCIDENTS IN THE PAST TWO MONTHS!! TWO!!! FOUR INCIDENTS IN THE SPAN OF TWO MONTHS!!!! LESS THAN THAT!! THAT'S LIKE ONE INCIDENT EVERY TWO WEEKS?! This needs to stop!!! It is out of control!!

      Having lived in Hubbard Hall and on that campus for four years, nothing she said made sense. I think she was panicked and her story is a mess. I don't think she's lying, but I don't give any credit to her story at all. I believe her door was locked when she got there - most students lock their doors when not home. She also had the key to unlock it. And there are somewhere around 3,000 dorm rooms in that 4 dorm complex - the university would not be able to lock all those doors even if they wanted to. And why would they want to? I also believe the cafeteria workers were still working because they had probably been told that the shooter was about halfway across campus (nearly a mile) and they weren't in any danger at that time. All the police wanted from them was to stay put. It is safer, and they didn't want thousands of students all over the streets while they were trying to find a lone shooter.

      They were not close to the scene of the shooting. The closest was nearly a mile away. That said, in the age of mass shootings, it would be easy for some to panic, and that alone can be traumatic. The fact that the cafeteria workers kept working tells you that police had told them there was no immediate danger in their area. But a manhunt would be much harder with thousands of students taking to the streets - so they wanted them to stay put.

      Since what they reported makes absolutely no sense to someone like me who attended MSU and lived in Hubbard Hall, and since the actual shooter was about 3/4 of a mile away from Akers Hall, it seems to me, they were panicked. Their story made no sense - which is common when a person is in a panic. There were no shots fired near there, and if her dorm room was locked, it's probably because she locked it when she left. They don't have the people to lock the thousands of dorm rooms in that complex that fast, and if they did - she still has the key to UNLOCK it!

It's time to grow up and face the facts. I would've lost my mind long ago if I did not have hope that God is going to "reset" things back to the way He had it in the beginning: no death, no pollution, a beautiful garden hangng out with Him where everyone got along. That is where true peace is friends. I pray that these girls and all of us can find that peace in Him too, because He loves you too, just as much and wants to help.

      That's their report. They're clearly biased towards law enforcement, courtesy of their education. Ironic that law enforcement response was phenomenal and likely saved many lives. But aww, they were cold out in a field for a few minutes, poor babies, please tell me more about how hard you have it as literally hundreds of university, local, state, and federal law enforcement, fire department, and emergency services storm your fucking campus to ensure your safety at the highest level.

    If anyone was listening to the police radio, the cops and dispatchers did an outstanding job! The problem was that there were a million people calling 911 with bogus tips saying the “three shooters are on the roof”, or the shooter is in this and that building. They had to systematically clear so many huge structures. Adults get scared too. And thank God the cops had those huge guns protecting everyone! This isn’t a criticism, these girls should be so proud of themselves. They fought a battle i pray to never experience, and they are so traumatized. I just wanted to let people know that the cops were also fighting for the lives of these kids with all their heart.

    • @MayimHastings
      @MayimHastings Рік тому +4

      @jyotikumar1898 🤦🏻‍♀️ they refer to themselves as being kids. Everyone in this country over the age of 30 calls college age folks kids, it is in no way ever received as anything but affectionate. I’m 37 and older people in my community still call me kid. It’s a term of endearment. So, maybe try to learn about the culture before sniping at someone.

    • @redacted8008
      @redacted8008 Рік тому

      @jyotikumar1898 And who the fuck are you? They are kids, and they acted like kids. They're 18 years old and dumber than shit. Their rhetoric was straight out of a self-indulgent social media platform, the same source that clearly rotted their brains, and they were obviously biased towards the same law enforcement that did everything in their power to protect them, and did a magnificent job. They speak as if they were more afraid of the cops and their "big guns" than the actual shooter. They cared more about their tuition feeds being reduced when people are literally dead. They're a pathetic display of how far our youth and education system has fallen, and yet you're here preaching that they deserve respect? Fat fucking chance.

    • @Trendyviews.
      @Trendyviews. Рік тому +5

      @jyoti Kumar it has nothing to do with respect. Human minds are not fully developed until their later 20s. They stated what any undeveloped mind would say. They are kids.
