    This is encouraging and interesting, we have been told that palm seed take 3 months to sprout, you need hydrogen peroxide, its to expensive to get a seedlings, a seedlings is about 4$, but your video changed everything ,thanks for sharing

      Some palm trees do take 3+ months to germinate, that's why some guides say you should soak them in hydrogen peroxide before you start (to dis-infect them and prevent mold, since they will be in a moist environment for months which makes mold more likely). Some palms germinate faster, some palm seeds need soaking for longer, some seeds need heat, some don't etc. "Palms" is a VERY broad catagory that includes cordylines with seeds that are about 1mm accross, all the way up to coconuts with seeds larger than a human fist! It depends on the EXACT species, but generally palms as a group take longer than average to germinate (and some need stratifying). If you still need advice, let me know what species you were looking into and I'll see if I can help you with that.

      Hi Freezy, that can always happen. You need to keep the seeds in a dry place. If it created mold while you were germinating them in wet paper, so you should change the paper and clean the mold from the seeds. Also adding a little bit of cinnamon powder on the germinating seeds and papper, prevents mold from forming. Thanks for your question!

      @HowtodoChannelWORLD  2 роки тому +3

      Hi Freezy, unfortunately there is always a chance of mold forming when germinating seeds in wet paper. You must chenge the paper, clean the mold from the seeds and leave some air inside the plastic bag where you put the seeds. Normally this solves the problem. If mold forms again do the same thing.

My container was clear plastic, so I didn’t open it at all before I saw shadows of roots appearing. And after putting them into soil mine sprouted in maybe 3 weeks, it looked like nothing is happening but then one day they just appeared. Some appeared even later, after a month or so. Takes a lot of patience

    I tried this exact method and mine have grown so much in just a month and a half to two months. The stems are like three inches tall with really long roots. @calldavid no I left them in a bowl on the kitchen counter. I transplanted them to larger bags of soil from the small plastic glasses. The bags are much cheaper than pots. They are now very big with five large leaves each. I did 13 of them and they are all in full bloom. Wish I could post pics
