We need to rewire our shop & we needed a way to fund it. The squirrel table took of and is a hot seller right now. It’s almost fully funded the project.

First time watching you, great job and the picnic tables.
Thanks so much for watching and we’re glad you like the video!! Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any new ones!! We hope you have a great day!!
Great video. I made a bunch of them up based on this video. I ran out of 1x2’s and so I decided to use a bunch of fence pickets. Worked great.
That is awesome! I wish I could find some cedar fence pickets around here! I’ll keep it in mind for when I make the treated version. Thanks for watching!!
I have made 2 dozen of these based off your tweet and love em great job just always put nail in gun lol
Glad to hear!! Yeah always double check the nails!!
Great video, wish I'd seen this before I made my own, your assembly technique makes it much easier to get all the parts aligned. Many thanks from the UK.
Glad we could help out. Happy building and thanks for watching!!
Great video and build. Thanks! God bless You Mom and the Girls.
Thanks for watching and may God bless you as well!!
This is awesome. Thanks for sharing
Glad you liked it!! Thanks for watching!!
Finished the squirrel picnic table!! Thx for showing me how to do it!!
That’s awesome!! Glad we were able to help!!
I am definitely having my husband make a few for my squirrels, but I am also thinking that with a few tweaks to the measurements, the granddaughters might like picnic tables for their Barbie dolls. 😉
That is a great idea! we have made some doll furniture and i bet these would be perfect for them!! Thanks for the comment and watching!
These things are great and you are very entertaining. Thank you. Maybe laying out marks on the table to help for each step would help blast through them too.
Thanks so much for watching!! Next batch we make; we plan to set up jigs for the assembly.
I'm gonna admit that I laughed pretty hard when he picked up the legs and they fell apart 😂🤣
We still laugh at that part every time!! Thanks for watching!!
Priceless ! 😂😂
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing this! Blessings to the family
Thank you for that & thanks for watching!!
Thank you 👍
You’re welcome!! Thanks for watching!
Thank you excellent tutorial
We’re glad you like it and thanks for watching!!
LOL love the Wood Whisperer comment ;) I made one of these today for the wife. I guess if others want them I can spare the time to do it lol.
We love the Wood Whisper one day in our far off dreams we might get close to his level. These tables are too fun & simple not to build, glad you knocked one out! Now start mass producing them and start a squirrel table empire!!
Thanks for watching!!
@@MomDadandTheGirls Haha thanks for the wonderful reply and encouragement. I'm kind of strange and I like batching stuff out. I just never find things that people want at a high quantity. I'm headed out to make more just in case the FB post catches on. Worst case, I end up with multiple feeders for the 🐿️'s.
That’s how we started with them, as a “let’s see if we can sell one”, well they took off, and funded the shop rewire. Best of luck!!
@@MomDadandTheGirls I've made 3 so far! Haha, sold two keeping one. I'll keep posting it closer to spring. I found the category chooser on Facebook Marketplace to suck and that might have been part of my issue. I also did not submit it to the other groups locally when I listed it.
You sound like an extremely handsome and strong man. I'll be making one of these in the near future, butter as the finish coat, as per tradition
Really appreciate you taking the time to make this awesome video brother! I just made my first one and it’s awesome! Thank you so much!
You’re welcome, glad you enjoyed the video and congrats on the build!!
Best video I have found and I have watched a ton! Thank you!
Awww thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it. Any other diy videos you’d like to see us do?
Nice job man. I made 4 squirrel tables. Kept one for my house and I have the others for sale. A little different than yours but they turned out good. Keep the videos coming! 👍
Way to go! Thanks for the encouragement!! Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any of our videos.
GO RAYS!!!!!!!
We hear that, but how about a big “OH YEAH” for all the Champa Bay Teams!!!
Get a lavalier mic so your volume doesn't drop out so much. Learn to plan each shot, then edit out the mess-ups. Good videos aren't an accident. They're planned out in advance.
Thanks for the advice. We have already bought the mics and have started to try to plan the videos a bit better. Thanks for the advice and for watching!!
@@MomDadandTheGirls Your comments are hilarious, but they were falling out of the audio. And your inserted Nicholas Cage clip really cracked me up. I made a table following your design; but sure enough, a guy broke it off of the mounting board while trying too hard to load a corn cob onto it. So I reinforced the table with an additional center brace that sits under the table connects its ends by wood screws to the two seat holder boards. Then I routed a dado slot into the mounting board for the ends of the table top to slide into (those are fasted by wood screws from the back of the mounting board into the ends of the table top). Lastly, I left a jar of Vaseline for the guy who had trouble mounting the corn cob (hopefully he used it on the mounting screw!)
Very cute miniature tables ,would be nice if you also can share all the wood sized , my son would love to do this project. Thank you
Thanks for the comment and watching. check out right around the 2:35 mark for a cut list.
at 19:18 when you ask what you are doing to make your nails curve out.... try turning the gun 90 degrees offset and it won't do that :) You are welcome
Thanks for the tip, I figured deflection was the case. Unfortunately if you flip it 90° it will run the risk of blowing out of the top or bottom of the table top inside in between the planks.
@Mom, Dad, and The Girls actually because of the grain is why you shoot the nails in that way. They won't or at least tend not to blow out. Your nails are not round they are flat. That is why
Just found this, and thanks, easy enough that I could follow it. I did make one and have a couple of operator headspace error, but nothing big, like it is a little off balance, but don't think the squirrels will mind. Just curious how much do you sell them for, because going to make a couple more for a craft sale coming up.
Thanks for watching, we’re glad you’ve enjoyed it. We’re sure the squirrels will enjoy them! Ours sell for anywhere between $25-$45 depending on wood and finish. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any new videos.
Lol I've done the no nails in the nail gun more times then I can count
I would be lying if I said this was the first or the last time I did it. 😂 Thanks for watching!!
Nail gun.....lmao. Been there, done that.
😂 we would be lying if we said this was the first or the last time that happen!! Thanks for watching!!
And the legs are done! Haha
Yes that was a good laugh for sure. Always double check your nails... lol thanks for watching.
My last name is Simmons, this was awesome 😂
Then this was made for you!!
I’m looking to do this myself to sell. Looks fun, how much would you say you would make a week or month on it? Did you put them on Market place? (Going to get the wood today after work)
We only built them when we had time, I’d say we made a few hundred a week when we were building these on the regular. Hopefully you do well!! Thanks for watching!!
@@MomDadandTheGirls thank you so much for the reply! I’ll try and start selling and see what happens. Did you offer shipping it just local?
@@willwork2fish261 We tried to offer shipping, but due to the size and shape shipping was almost more than the cost of the table.
you owe me a monitor and keyboard!! I spit my drink out at the Shop Failure!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 I guess I’ll have to build and sell a few more tables to get your replacements funded!! Thanks for watching!! 😂
Nice sharing, keep it up! I'm your new friend ✌😎
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Crazy question does anyone know how to stop the porter cable brad nailer from making a huge intension in the wood. His does not seem to do it but I have seen a lot of people complaining and mine does no matter what psi I run it😮😮
Don’t press down as hard onto your work piece, that or lower the pressure coming from your tank if you’re talking about the whole the nail head makes.
Did I miss something. Did you have a specific measurement for placement of the table brace? Good Luck on growing your business!
Hey thanks for watching. No the table brace just gets stuck somewhere close to the middle.
Do you have the measurements posted somewhere? I love the table design and how you assemble it.
I am going to make one. I got a long plank of wood from a skip (Asked Permission). I have no fancy tools, I just have a hand saw (no mitre guide) just measure and saw. I have Gorilla glue and some wood screws, hope that does the job.
Thanks for watching, how did it turn out?
Mom, Dad, and The Girls It was very crooked 😂. I couldn’t find my level. I have only a big handsaw. Ended up just using screws. Pretty pleased with it for my first go and with limited tools. Squirrel is using it 👍🏻
I will post a pic on Twitter
@@LengthyEmperor Somehow I think the squirrels will NOT care lmao :D Good job.
Any advice for mitering small pieces, I get a little antsy holding small pieces near the saw, one time a piece got pulled from my hand and now I don’t really know the safest way to continue
Thanks for watching. When I cut small pieces in the miter saw, I use a stop block on one side and a push stick to hold the work piece on the other side. I then pull the saw down to make the cut and let it stop spinning before lifting it back up. Seems to work the best. I started using this method when I had to cut 200 1” cubes.
@@MomDadandTheGirls gotcha. Thank you!
Thank you for your wood working project. Took some extra time to mount it to a squirrel feeder I made. Made for a good therapy project, much relaxing. Thanks and good luck with the business.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your build!! Thanks for watching and the well wishes!!
I'd like to just buy one from you where do you sell, or can you give me a price with shipping and an idea of how far out your are on shipping
Message us over at our site and we can make sure you get one. CircleMFurnishings.com
Hi thx for posting this, hope you finally got some sleep ;-))) at 19:55 on the video it shows you using a drill bit that looks like it creates a forstner bit recess and hole what drill bit was this? Also at the end, is the last screw you put in the center solely to stick a business card too? thx
Ahh thanks it was a crazy few days for sure, but I did catch up on sleep.
That bit is just a countersink bit from Dewalt. They come in a set of 3 different sizes. Here’s the Model# DW2535 for the set.
The 3 1/2” screw at the end is for a dried corn cob to be screwed on to to feed the squirrels. The business card and hot glue are there to cover the sharp point of the screw until you need to put the corn cob on it. Plus a little bit of advertising never hurts.
Hopefully that helps and thanks for watching!!
@@MomDadandTheGirls Brilliant, thank you very much.
great question.
So what's the screw actually for? I hope not just for the business card lol
Just for the business card… 😉 😂 It’s to hold the corn cob for the squirrels. 🐿️ 🌽 🍽️
@MomDadandTheGirls that's what I figure lol you did a great job that's for sure!
Wanted to tell you both that you guys seem like fun, happy "real" ppl not like most boring Diy-ers... Zzzz Well the other night I was myself WAY OVER TIRED you know the goofy, talk to yourself outloud and responding over tired???? I'll send you guys a Pic of what I come up with!!! If you have any easy design ideas to make my little, spooky, Haunted house like Condos with ease please Let me know & I will be useing the power tools this time & by God a level!!!
ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO!!
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoyed the video and got your build has inspired a bunch more. Let me see what I can find for a creepy critter condo and get one made before Halloween. Be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again for watching.
DeezNuts Hut :-) Brilliant!!!
You should set up a jig. Would make for much faster production.
That’s on our list to do next time we get a huge order for them. Thanks for the tip and for watching!!
Awesome video, how are you selling these. Thanks
Thanks for watching!! We are selling them on marketplace and word of mouth for now.
@@MomDadandTheGirls thank you for info.
For novices it would be helpful to mention that a 1x2 is actually a 1x1 1/2 I learned that the hard way. Nothing lined up after I cut all my parts. Great design and having fun building them. Thank you.
Sorry about any confusion, we were just calling it what it would be called at the big box lumber stores so it would be easier to shop for.
A 1x2 is a standard, accepted measurement. If you went to any lumberyard or box store, you’d ask for a 1x2.
Thanks for posting! How wide are the strips?
Thanks for watching, they are 1 1/2”.
@@MomDadandTheGirls Thank you!
What is the purpose of this
To feed squirrels in style…
There is no way this can be 1x2 I cut enough wood to make 3 and nothing lines up
It’s made out of dimensional lumber, on the shelf at the big box store it’s labeled as 1”x2”. If you’re cutting/milling your own stock it’s exact measurements for this project would be 1”x1 1/2” material.
Get a mic for your sound can't hear
Thanks for the comment. We agree, a mic is something we are looking in to. Thanks for watching!
@@MomDadandTheGirls thx for sharing this

Alright video. Probably less talking especially when you're "tired." Other than that it could have been quicker
I hear you… Talking is what I do…with a bit of complaining about being tired. We are parents after all….😊 Thanks for watching and the constructive criticism!!
all mouth
Thanks for watching!!
Talks to much BS
Too* Thanks for the comment and watching!
WAY too much 'ramblimg'!!! Need to have your stuff ready before ya start then project!!!! Got bored enough by the "cut list" that i moved on!!!
Thanks for the constructive criticism! We’re working on a more direct instructional video. Honestly it’s hard to switch from family vlogger to a squirrel table DiY facilitator. Well try to be more direct though!! Also keep in mind you can speed up the rambling under your settings and then playback speed.
Nah I think you did a great job. Too many channels make things as professional diyers and sound a bit standoffish. I like seeing the work and potential mistakes, helps me more.
Thank you for watching and for your encouraging comment it means a ton to us!!
Did not appreciate the Trump comment at all
Sorry you found one word in the entirety of this almost 22 minute video you didn’t like. Thankfully I wasn’t talking about a person, but about how the glue trumps the holding power of the brad nail. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Are people really this freaking Ignorant and Butthurt, that when using the actual word "trump", which literally means to
beat (someone or something) by saying or doing something better, that their insignificant life is enhanced by making a a Dumbass Comment. Wow, I bet the stick up their ass is at least 3ft deep, because it scratched a hole in their tiny little brain.
Great video bro. Keep it up.
Let’s go Brandon!!!
Did not appreciate this comment
why not just cut the crap and just do. no interest in your wannabe something banter
I’m sorry I’m not following what you’re saying. Could you explain it more?
@@MomDadandTheGirls i could but no amount of explanation from me could enter without passing straight through.
Why not give it a try? We would never give someone criticism without having a solution. The thought of that is just asinine.
So please try to help us improve, you obviously have a wealth of knowledge to share. So please try to explain your posts (in layman’s terms of course). 😊
@@MomDadandTheGirls think i already highlighted the solution in my statement. "why not just cut the crap and just do"
If you watched the video we are a family vlogging channel more than a DiY channel. So the “crap” as you say is our personality. Thanks for watching anyway!!
