Pig of a job well tackled. In my job(now retired) we used an electric heat gun with a 4mm nozzle to melt the Loctite. Same heat gun and nozzle was used to test aircraft EGT probes
I have hit this problem before Dave but honestly never thought of slightly heating it slightly. Nice tip that I will definitely use, thanks for sharing man 🙏🙏👍
Nice one Dave. Those small long nose vice grips are handy to gently hold hard to remove /insert some headlight bulb holders, I did a hyundai i800 yesterday with them as access is very limited.
As much as I'd want to rip into a BMW driver for being a BMW driver, the "motor head" in me is teaching me to respect his motor. Poor bugger, expensive mistake! But thanks for the tip. Is it the M130? Because they're flipping quick!
I've been there Dave. The bmw 1 series is the same. Stuuupid!!! Idea from bmw to loctite a headlight in.???? Interesting comment on the right angle impact. I have the 3/8 Ingersoll rand which your facom is licensed from, whilst it has its place in my arsenal draw, I also have the milwaukee 1/4 long reach ratchet(I see you have the 3/8)and I can't put it down.

Well done Dave we all learn something new everyday 👏👍

An honest man, glad it helped
Always nice to share thoughts, 👍🏻👍🏻
Good idea Dave. I sometimes use a normal lighter to heat seized wheel cylinder bleed nipples. Does the trick
