Love it. The production took a lot of work and your pre planning is appreciated. Not the usual goof ball holding a camera with one hand and making stuff up as they go. I hope you find work in media either writing or production. You have a strong talent for getting a message across in a memorable format. In this world that can be $$$$. Good luck.
You have quite a flair (that's a compliment, btw). I drove my brother's 944 Turbo (he still to this day leaves the 'e' silent....grrrrrrr). It may have been the smoothest car I have ever driven. Those Germans know how to engineer.
Your Craigslist ad is the best I've ever read. I think the 944 would be perfect if it just had manual windows. It has just about everything else: front-engine, rear-wheel-drive for that 50-50 weight distribution, a nice hatch, manual transmission, a decent power-to-weight ratio, and very good looks. If all my money wasn't tied up in a lease on a Honda Civic, I would be very tempted to take you up on your offer. It would be a fun excuse to drive back to ol' Missouri.
I always liked your Porsche videos. It's kinda sad to see it go. You don't think you could drop insurance on it and use it as an autocross/track car? Anyway, that's up to you. I'm just excited to see more Trabant content!
+hannes something Go ahead! Im 17 and i just sold my 944! its been amazing. the only reason i sold it is because i want to buy my dream car which is an E30. also its a little slow for me. the e30 is going to be my 3rd car in the past year!
Quick Tutorials don't lol, unless you are a mechanic, yes an EXPERIENCED MECHANIC or make a lot of money and don't pay any bills, supposing you are 16 and make 500+ per week with no bills then you will be ok, just kk ow that the parts are hard to find and VERY VERY EXPENSIVE, water pump is $400 after taxes and hey go out a lot lol everything brakes all the time on this cars and are nearly impossible to fix if you are an average Joe that's mechanically inclined
+Aging Wheels ah ok, can't wait to see what your going to get :) By the way, I just asked because in the previous vids you really like the 944 (I do too) but I now know why you sold it :) Keep up the good vids
+Bayardo Gonzalez I had a '70 Chevelle-those are great cars. It never let me down and was super easy to work on. Over the time I owned it I dropped in a (completely non-original 427, Ford (yes, FORD) Top-Loader four speed, and a 12-bolt rear end with rear disc brakes. All the old GMs are great cars.
It's got a later model steering wheel....maybe an '85? A/C is a pain on these. My '84 had to constantly be recharged, dryer replaced etc. Otherwise, you don't mention '83 vintage until you screw around, play music, etc. You should keep your day job you aren't a comedian man! No to manual windows and no American car mechanics allowed! They mess it up.
Electric windows are fine, until you're wanting to escape in an emergency (people do occasionally drive into water), and the power fails. Four people died in a Winter accident near here a few years ago, because they skidded and hit something, which launched the car into a canal, after killing the power because the battery supply had been smashed in the accident. They were found next morning, in the icy water, and had been trying to break open a window to escape. Ever since then I've only bought cars with at least some manual windows.
Pierre Martin he made another video with it, he sold it to his mom because the only other offer was a 15 year old who was trying very hard to convince his parents to get him a 944 for his first car.
I was cracking up at the sign language part. I would say one of your best videos.
I've loved your 944 videos, and will miss hearing about it!
You're the one who inspired me to buy my 944. Thanks for all the 944 content you have given
+MegaJet RC I'm glad you decided to buy one! Enjoy it, and thank you

+Andrew Banks It's basically a hard top Miata with slightly more expensive parts. A great platform for modifications or just having fun as is.
Modifications, hmm. I could convert the windows to manual, couldn't I? (I just googled it.)
Dang will miss the 944 videos!

It took aging wheels 3 months to figure out a basic ass problem lol I don't say common because they brake all the time
What did he sell it for?
If you don't mind me asking, why did you sell it?
+steve k To get something else. I have a very specific car in mind to get next.
+Aging Wheels ah ok, can't wait to see what your going to get :)
By the way, I just asked because in the previous vids you really like the 944 (I do too) but I now know why you sold it :)

The only car I will sell my 944 for is 1970 chevelle

Hah, as always, another hilarious video
