      @Simon Palmer yes, they're an isolating exercise. You can get enough lat activation by rowing from the waist, even though it's not the primordial path to the lats. I use cable pulls to get blood to that lats or pull ups, but for an overall back development heavy rows on a high bench. Nothing comes close.

    Trying this at home, as I have basic barbell, dumbbell set and a bench. Can't do this routine in the gym, someone would take equipment during the giant set and the gyms I've been to (Tokyo now/London) are lame on the equipment: Technogym crapola everywhere, cable lengths too short, no standard barbells (only technocrap dumbbells - massive things, all plastic). No hack squat/calf raise/high row bench/2x4 blocks/preacher bench. Vince's gym would be a dream.

      Even changing the exercises would be ok as long as you are able to contract the correct muscles. Agree that twice a day is a hard one but since it is not full body it is not that long. Probably you can get it done in 40 minutes or so.

    For back I start out with medium weight and work up to as heavy as possible with good form for 10 reps for chest I do about the same thing for arms as heavy as possible with good form for 10 reps per set and legs I Approach with the same method as for calves. I workout multiple times throughout the day for as much muscle development as possible.

    If Im training calfs for heavy weight I'll do 10 reps per set and when I say heavy I mean like you can do about 8 and then have a slight struggle with the last reps of that set . if medium to light weight 50 reps per set. or I will start out very light if on a calf machine I'll start with 10lbs on each side and do 10 reps then increase by 5-10lbs on each side and repeat untill eather you cant compleet 10 reps with good form or you exhaust your calfs. For me it depends on how much time I have for a training session If I have a whole hour I'll Train really light and build up to heavy if I have one class period I'll train medium and work up to as heavy as possible with good form for 10 reps if I have about 5-15 min then I will just work with heavy weight for as many sets as possible with good form durring that time period.

      Do they really grow ay least 3 cm per year ? Mine grow 2 cm , then shrink. Once they became smaller because i trained them too many sets. Now i do only a few sets. Still they don t grow. I got genetically thin calves. Its incredibly difficult. If i ask someone that always had naturally good calves...they can t help. They just added 2 cm in one year with WHATEVER STYLE , sets reps. Each grows woth different techniques

    • @joshuakalor4410
      @joshuakalor4410 4 роки тому

      @@jjjuhg to be honest my genetics are unusual but I find that starting out with light weight and working to as heavy weight as possible tends to work best for me doing 10 reps per set so if on a seated calf machine you would start with about 5 to 10 pounds on each side to warm up do about 50 reps then add eather a 5 or a 10 lb weight on each side and do 10 reps then increase the weight again and do 10 more reps do this until you cant do another set eather because your calfs are exhausted or because you cant go any heavier if you cant go any heavier and your calfs are still nor exausted reduse the weight at the same rate that it took you to reach that weight only if you reach the weight that you started with before getting exausted only do 10 reps and if your not exausted then if your strong enough put 10lb or 25 lb plate on each side and do as many sets of 10 til you cant do any more with good form or work with the beginning weight and do reps til you almost reach failure because if there is 1 thing that I have learned over my 3.5 years of training its that muscles grow best with different exercises and for weight being as heavy as possible with good form for as many sets of 10 reps that is what has helped me but it is good to work with light weight as well for me I have noticed that if your trying to develope strength you should work with heavy weight with a 10 rep range if for definition light weight for 50 reps if for over all development a medium weight for 10 reps. That is what has been working for me for the last year and a half and ive put on over 5lbs of muscle durring my summer break. So as long as you train with high intensity and focusing on feeling the muscle streach and flex durring each rep and work hard to master good form and focus on developing a strong mind to muscle connection and are consistent witb training you can and you almost certainly will grow now I can't tell you how long it will take for you to grow or how much you will grow but what I can promise you is that if you do these things focusing of good form and creating a strong mind to muscle connection and focus on streaching and flexing the muscle durring each rep and streaching through the whole movement and flexing the muscle the whole way through on each rep that you will grow and become stronger.

Also, unless you have your own gym, it would be very difficult to lay out 4 set ups for each muscle group in a commercial gym.
