Hey Kyle. I might not get direct admission to engineering in OSU, so I applied for physics. How long will it take for me to transfer back to engineering and will I be behind?
I’m not exactly sure on the timeline for transferring, BUT you shouldn’t be behind on a 4-5 year timeline. It may seem like you’re behind at first if others are in low level engineering programs, but just make sure you’re taking classes that both majors need. Like your maths, physics, General curriculum classes.
Any PC, just don’t go for a MacBook. :) You would need programs like solidworks, creo and many other softwares that are compatible with PC only, Hope I helped.
It's great that you take the time to reply, it is really great to connect and create a grant community. I feel as though you could become a great figure on UA-cam talking about engineering school and all other aspects. Keep up the great work! You really are helping people out, making a difference and making new mindsets!
Hey! I'm in industrial engineering at Northwestern University..just a freshman rn. Haven't had the chance to look through your vids yet but I'm hoping to get some tips for getting internships/co-ops next year. If you haven't made a vid like that I'd really appreciate if you did
Absolutely, I’ll be making a better recap vid for this! 2 quick things you can do right away to better your chances are: do your best to keep your gpa above 3.0 and start your own DIY project that involves engineering in some way (Like 3d printing something you’re interested in)
Yeah, i agree.. The plan is to do a “day in the life” at the beginning of school in August first thing! Appreciate you following the channel.. coming full force this summer trying to build up this community we can all benefit from 💯
Haha i def do since i failed a lot of the calculus classes on my first try.. Every time I’ve passed a math class it’s been by doing the same thing. Doing a simple 5-10 problems after every lesson.. a lot of times it took me less than 30 minutes. A lot of days you’re not going to want to do this and you’re going to convince yourself you can just do 1 hour the next day. But it doesn’t work the same way lol. You gotta just do it after every lesson. If your campus or school has a tutoring center just go there and do the problems. That way, when you get stuck for more than 2 minutes you can just ask about it and keep moving. Hope this helps!!
2 semesters (aka this time next year I’ll be done). I’m industrial and management systems engineering. Calc 1-4 has been the hardest for me general engineering wise. But for industrial it’s “operations research” and a Visual Basics coding class (lmao i suck at coding even tho my original major was computer science 😅)

Kinda off topic but what would you say is a good laptop for civil engineering? Don’t really want to go over $1400

It my be interesting to make a vlog style video of your life on the campus?🤔
Love your videos and projects✌️

Hey Kyle,
I am currently in my first week of pre calc. Do you have any study tips?

How many more semesters do you have left? What are some of the difficult classes you have taken so far in your opinion?
