There you go Mike. Pretty sweet. Are you still running this tachometer? Looks like a universal one you get at the auto parts store. Seems like it might be hard to see as well. I wonder if you could make a custom bracket that would allow you to mount it to your steering wheel?
I think aircooled accessories has a bracket just for the steering column. Yep, that one is from autozone, and I can see it ok. It’d be better up high but I couldn’t resist using the preexisting hole.
@@bomberobus Jaa. Yeah I meant steering column not steering wheel! Could you imagine😆 any ways. Yes I support not having to drill extra holes in my car. Well I’m glad you can see it. I’m sure it was way cheaper than the ones they make especially for bay windows that fit in the extra spot in the dash.
The “go to” is ALWAYS check/improve your ground connection. Then do the same for every other place those wires are connected ie. The coil. Mine doesn’t jump but it does have a lag time between actual RPM’s and what it shows on the gauge. But something is better than nothing I guess hahaha
its videos like these that make my day.
ive learned now how the tacho operates
Cool...It is nice to have!
Great video, very helpful! And good to see your dog make an appearance...every VW bus needs a good dawg. 🙂
Yes I love my dawg! She’s in a few vids because she literally stalks the VW waiting for rides…then goes to sleep😂

Thank you for a great video. I would love to see you take it through the gears. Curious about RPM shift points at 1, 11, and 111 on the Speedo.
✌
If I can ever get the 1800 built for it I’ll try to do a before and after
Hi great video, my auestion is my tacho needle when rev’d bounces a tiny bit is it because i need a better ground?
