VW temperature and pressure gauge installation

The crew cab's engine got a little hot and bothered during a recent trip. Let's install some gauges so we can see what's going on!

Did your temperature gauge ever get above 50 ish...I fitted one a while back and it never goes above 55..I have tried lots of things like a thicker sender wire..a new sump plug sender...and nothing has worked
..any ideas
