Love the Minn Kota Trolling Motors!!!! Started off with the Edge but now upgrade to the Terrova and the Maxxum on the boats I have. Great trolling motors. No problems! Stay Safe & God Bless!!
Started out with the MK Endura on a 14' Smoker craft , worked great , 5 years ago I bought a new tracker and it came with a 45 thrust minn kota, I put it through hell , upgraded to a 55 thrust Terrova with spot lock, I can say spot lock has helped me catch fish, especially on windy days and you are by yourself, BTW, love the bass buggy, see guys catching bass off their pontoons on my home lake, tight lines
I have the Endura 30 on my little float boat as well. Agree, it has done great. On my other boat I ended up putting a Fortrex 80lb on because I wanted more power for fishing the Mississippi. In hind sight, I wish I would have put the Ultrex on with the Spot Lock. It would have cost me another grand, but I still wish I would of done it. Lol. Great video.
I do want to upgrade from that Edge and get one with spot lock, but I do really like that cable-steer foot pedal, especially since I dropped it down into that pan. So that's the decision I have to make right now, lol.
Omnia is very cool people and they have awesome discounts. Congratulations!!! Also awesome topic for the day. I want to get a better trolling motor and you don't see a ton of videos like this. Keep it up Low Brow!
This video couldn't have come at a better time! I just looked at buying a used jon boat that had a casting deck built onto it. It has a small 6 hp gas motor on it but I wanted a trolling motor on the front. If I buy that boat I can still get a trolling motor.
I have a Endura 40 bought new. Third time using was a rainy day and it quit running. The head had water in it and apparently ruined the electric components. Upon reading the manual I found that it says the head is not water proof or even resistant. Minnkota did repair no charge under warranty. Why would they make a trolling motor that can’t be used in the rain? I don’t think I would buy another one.
That's a bummer that happened. It's good that Minn Kota repaired your trolling motor for free. I've personally had both my units out in hard down pours, and the Endura has even fallen off the boat and fell into the water and still runs fine.
What type of trolling motor do you prefer? Do you like the foot pedal operated type? Or do you prefer those old tiller-style handle-steer types?

Those Edge trolling motors are good for a starter or for anglers on a budget.

They are great starter trolling motors, but I do think you need to eventually upgrade if you can.

Thanks! I appreciate it!
Thanks for the video. I've got the Edge and love it.
Awesome! Thanks for watching!

Awesome! Glad it was helpful!
I feel like I should have known about the rope handle thing. That seems so obvious but I never noticed it until you said it.
I had to have someone point it out to me as well.
Man this whole time, I didn't know the bracket on the motor rest was to hold the deployment handle. Thanks!
It's one of those obvious things we can easily miss. I only know because an old pro buddy of mine be told me about it.
I've seen a lot of those small trolling motors that guys put on the back of their jon boat. I guess that's why they're so popular.
They do seem to be everywhere!

Those seem like great trolling motors. I'll need to buy a boat first 🤣
Lol! At least you know about these trolling motors.
My brother in law has one of those endura ones and he likes his.
They work great!
How does the propeller do with grass.
It does good with some grass, but it can get gummed up in the super thick stuff. I'm going to put a weed cutter prop attachment on mine.
