This is so full of joy and beauty. I could tell the conductor, musicians as well as the audience were having so much fun! Kudos to the musicians and conductor for putting in so much work into this. Thanks for putting a smile on our faces!!
Yes, such a great rendition, truly Viennese in spirit - and I love the fact that they actually let some of the audience dance to the music during the performance! :) I always watch the concert from the Musikverein in Vienna on new year's day, and this is in the same vein... :)
7:35 Out of pure curiosity... Can anyone tell me why those bassists are smiling? Is it because 'reaching' new notes from preceding galloping rhythm in itself gives them pleasure?
@@starifolklorac well that is why he freaking asked... bruh, are you really that dumb, either answer the question or just admit that you have no idea of whats happening out there yourself, since you never answered. why on earth would you tell a person "you dont know it" when he is asking about it? i assume you really wanted to show off, smart ass...
I just realize Hengelbrock's technique of holding baton is quite similar to that of Thielemann's, I wonder if they have the same conducting teacher or school, lol.
Great concert performing! However, this is the first film that I see the audiences dancers are dancing with the music performing. But actually I don't like to see that; they destroyed the film and make the film not elegant.

You probably don't know the contents of operetta, and what is going on on this melody.
