Some music you can not get tired of listening again and again.
my father teach me to listen this particular rapsody.
I was 10 years old and now I am 61 years old .
All these years I was taking a lot of power listening that music and I will continue to do so.
What a wonderful Papa you had. Thank you for sharing your thought. If music be the fruit of love, said Shakespeare, play on. Music is the fruit of love, and God is love, and Lizst was surely tapping into that particular aspect of love, and transmitting that power as you put it, to audiences then, and audiences today. It energizes me with hope, Heaven originating potentiating energy, my definition of hope- H.O.P.E.

It’s crazy how a piano piece can be so perfectly transitioned into an orchestral form to create perhaps a more famous version of it. You almost never see it go in that direction. It feels as if Liszt hears an orchestra in his head when he’s writing and performing piano.
Liszt tried to evoke an entire orchestra with just a grand piano
Mission accomplished, I guess 🌝
Was it first written for piano or straight orchestra?
Would have expected nothing less from a prodigy, who used to perform in front of kings and that too at the age of 12.
@@XxNiiCeBoYxX It was written for Piano by Liszt in 1847.
Very very beautiful.
The world would be in a more beautiful place if this music were adopted by all listening to it.
Franz liszt was truly touched by God
Surely!!!
Dear Liszt ... if only you can hear this amazing version of your stunning Hungarian Rhapsody No.2. You will be so proud of yourself!
That is why it calls CLASSIC music - it is forever and to all people in the world ! Time don't have power on it.
Right you’re Polina , such beauty .
My father bought the 75rpm record of this, and we all knew it off by heart. We pretended to play the instruments, as kids will do. Then one day, it was left out and I broke it. I was heartbroken, but was forgiven. Wonderful to hear it again.
Rock came, rock will go. Rap came, rap will go. But classical music never dies. Beautiful performance!
This is Rock.
I'm Hungarian. Listening again, I left Earth for a while. Listening to our folk music, I hear a lot of this, but this one is excellent.
It,a wondell full, It,s a extraterreSte
This is one of my favourites
Musica meravigliosa esecuzione perfetta complimenti al direttore
I am listening to that Rhapsody since 1985, thousand times, and will never be tired of listening to it again and again.
I would like to listen this music since 1960-s

Ditto
Worth it
@john musekamp And me too!!!
I didn't know he had Slovak parents. I am Slovak... their name was List. The list means letter. But he considered himself as Hungarian as most Slovak people did during the Austrian-Hungarian kingdom.
im a kid but i enjoy classical music such as this more than anything else
Bravo
Excelente opera
I first heard the orchestral version in 1954. Later on the solo versions. I'd listened to it more than 500times. It's one of the best pieces of music ever composed.
Yeeeeeeesssss
This is one of those songs that translates very well from piano to orchestra.
Wonderful.
Magnificent
It's much better as an orchestral piece than a piano piece. It's big, and needs a full orchestra to fully demostrate it's magnificence.
it has volume aesthetically and physically. it needs space in which to roam.
imo, nah, it's equally good in both piano and orchestra
I am very proud, we have the genius like Franc Liszt who written this beautiful Rhapsody
Bravo!
Perfect. For me this entire Rhapsody is a resuscitation, beginning from what is almost a funeral dirge, then growing into a celebration of life that brings me to tears.
Same feeligns for me, but also reminds me my youth with Tom and Jerry Cartoons =)
I 100% agree with you, Jose! It is magnificent!
Absolutely phenomenal piece of music...such brilliance from Franz Listz!
Sublime!!!
Exelente música.Gracias.
This is the most emotional classical music I've ever heard.
As a Hungarian person, I'm grateful for this video ❤
This music is great
Bravo
Excellent
I have loved this beautiful piece of music since Iwas a teenager. (I am now 80 years old). I’ve had this record and other works by Liszt for as long as I can remember and never tire of listening to them. Thank you for posting.
One of the most beautiful compositions ever written
Couldn't agree more
Just beautiful. Hermoso.
Under what circumstances could one POSSIBLY even consider giving this a thumbs down?
Only one, highly unlikely but possible- floating upside down in the international space station, in which case ones thumbs down would become, voila, a thumbs up.
TikTok fans. They can't bear anything more than 15 seconds. They're dopamine addicts, you know. 😀
My earliest memory of this sublime piece comes from Walt Disney's film, Water Birds, in the late 1950s or early '60s. Their in-house orchestra was much simpler than the one here but was more than adequate for teaming with the editing of the visual images. I credit that movie with planting seeds of interest in me of birds and birding as well as an appreciation for uplifting music. Many years later I purchased the movie to show students in my biology classes, hoping more seeds would sprout in them. To this day I can't see Western Grebes without recalling this movie or hear this piece around the 7:30 mark without seeing Western Grebes scurrying across a lake in their courtship dance. Thank you Franz Liszt--and Walt Disney--for such a positive effect upon my life!
Exhilarating experience!
Breathing new life into a 73 year old man! Have been a fan of Liszt for over 6 decades.
This performance deserves highest praise. Proves that a100 heads are better than one.
Thanks for the post.

Maravillosa obra de Liszt Danza Húngara No 2 ...¡¡ Mágica !!
E enérgica, super enérgica! Plena de alegria e vivacidade! Maravilhosa!
This beauty touches the soul. The New Cologne. Philharmonic Orcestra conducted by Hartung, performs it magnificently, and each movement of the Maestro is absolute beauty in motion. He conducts them so well. If Liszt could hear it, I think he would be very pleased
I like how they turned 1 pianist into an entire orchestra

This master piece gets me everytime. It's really hard to explain with only words how it makes me feel when I listen to this song. Master Franz Liszt, wherever you are I have to say THANK YOU for this.
I am hoping to introduce my nephew and grand babies to the beauty of music. It may be too late for my rapper nieces, but I thank you all for supporting music with 3, 4 and 5 centuries of fans. And I thank you on behalf of my Hungarian uncle.
it never stops coming at you. Can’t breathe
I can never here this without thinking of Cat Concerto with Tom and Jerry. Just picture the cartoon all the way through and smile.
Hungarian Dances 5 and Hungarian Rhapsody 2 are both used in comical settings. I find this so fascinating!!
Una Maravilla Maestro.
I enjoyed!
Que bella música
Thank you Liszt, Maestro Hartung, and Cologne Orchestra for this jewel! Awesome interpretation!
Absolutely perfect interpretation of Rhapsody.
Excellent, especially the clarinets.
BOth were given the chance to shine...and they delivered.
I studied and played this piece during piano lessons, as a child, for many years. I loved it then and now.
Dzięki za taki piękny koncert thank YOU danke merci Ryszard Kulesza
¡Bravo! ❤️
i love the way the guy conducts. He has an ear for how it should sound. This was ASTOUNDING
Wonderful! Nothing else
A friend told me that he studied at the Faculty of Economics, while studying and preparing for exams, he always listened to classical music, especially this Liszt composition Rhapsody, and that he always passed the exam with a good grade.
Magnificent - best performance of this I have ever heard - I am Hungarian and have been listening to it all my life. It is a part of my soul.

Liszt and the Hungarian rhythms fantastic.
😅
Simply incredible
Meine Lieblingsversion der Ungarischen Rhapsodie! Besser geht kaum! ❤
Crying tears of joy; a standing ovation, even though I wasn't of the audience! One of he reasons why music is the best thing ever! ❤
A small chunk of this sounded like Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue! 💓
beautiful indeed
The best music is this, no doubt =)
This is an exceptional performance of this magnificent composition of Liszt. The orchèstra gives it a vibrance one does not experience during a solo piano forte performance.
amazingly amazing
Wunderbar!
I'm proud to be Hungarian!!!
