The classic Com Tam has pork ribs, shredded pork ears + shredded pork, pickled carrots and white radish, green onions with fried pork lard and always has egg + meat loaf ........the omelet egg is a new addition .....fish sauce is not a dipping sauce, it's meant to pour over the rice . ....Hope you enjoy your time in Saigon
I haven't see you go to Dong Khoi, the Notre Dame church, the what used to be a "turtle" pond and the Tan Dinh market, where you'll love a lot of different kind of food.
I am thinking about going to Vietnam the only thing that is putting me off is how the locals who you encounter quite a lot of them are trying to rip you off
Ben Thanh Market is way to crazy. 300k, no no. then 100. Shoe-glueing, broken rice. This is so unique in Southeast Asia. The Vietnamese are very resourceful. They make use of everything.
You should look up for the price or ask them the price first before buying them. For instance, the coconut should not be 50k, it should only be around 10-20k, you should bargain like what you have done in the market, they often ask travellers like you to pay for a higher price. I watched some of your videos, some of the price you paid are often 1.5 to 3 times higher than the normal price as I remember, be careful more 😅.
Ahh this was may favorite thing in Saigon!! Haha. Hope you're enjoying Vietnam! Do you plan to come back to the Philippines soon? I thought you would be coming back for Fiba!
You have a very kind-hearted face, love to watch your videos. Just be careful with scammers, ask for the price first, must bargain, avoid giving big bills as possible.
That is an interesting Com Tam dish. It usually goes with charcoal grilled pork chop, but here they have pork belly (I think?). If you're still in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh, you can check out other places where they have a more common styled dish. District 1 is more tourist oriented, so everything seems to be more pricey than usual. I grew up in District 3 and it's pretty comparable to District 1. I haven't been back to Vietnam for a couple years so it can be pretty different now. If you know Max Mcfarlin and his channel, he knows some local spots with great food. I've been watching his videos for the past few days so I know where to go eat when I visit Vietnam this November lol. I hope you will have a good time there during your visit!
Kim Spa - It’s shampoo not sampoo.. Also a tip if you want to eat food and worry about the language….if the place have food in a see through cart..just point to the stuff that you want to eat..then they’ll make it… You can stand next to them; and point to it like This this and this..easy enough..
50k for coconut is too much about half is right price. The city light up at night very much like Hong Kong. The tallest building in VN lit up crimson red one ordinary night.
I have same shoes, was thinking of taking them with me, how have they held up in your travels in Vietnam, would you recommend or take cheaper pair of shoes
When in Vietnam, BARGAIN. Always offer them at least 2/3 of what they asked for. Just like what you did with the dried mango vendor. Great job, brother.
Love your videos, as an average tourist we can relate, we all make mistakes and we learn by them and you are teaching us along the way.. Thank You (and why are you single?)
You better buy a new pair of shoes in Saigon. Go to shopping mall and plenty of shoe's shops there. Do not go to Ben Thanh market. Why are you falling in love Saigon? What is the main reason? If you like moon cake ( Banh Trung Thu ) , time to buy now until 15 Sept.
Tourist - Never buy unless you see a price…no price display do not buy… Asking is not a good thing either…they can go try a low number but still high according to Vietnamese ppl…
when someone tries to tell you some crazy price, return and go to the next shop, probably next door. teach them a lesson. Is this Ben Thanh Market? Most items you negotiate half price... Food items, prices are normally known, they shouldn't tell you anything else. 300K for something that's probably 50K? walk away. don't waste time.
You are a penetrated negotiator causing an owner tried to hold u on. Shoe technician fixed one wound and washed a pair of them in a very cheap price including water resist as well. Beyond my expectation, I was followed by some of them in Hanoi at time going to Sapa
a coconut 50 thousand, what price is so high, they see foreigners selling for such a high price, if I Vietnamese buy only 10 thousand dong, i feel sad for you😒
You should just walk away ..I got tired of these clowns ..I would go across the road to Saigon square and buy whatever I needed and cheaper without putting up with those vendors in main market
6:56 it costs 50k ? He should be fined for the overpriced coconut. Btw, why don't you come to the convenience stores like Circle K, Family mart or Win mart for the drinks ?
i am going back to vietnam for a second time next week, and bringing some family with me this time, will be absolutely amazing!

also, for dry fruits, you can go to another shop around there sell in bulk, and you ask for 100g, 200g, whatever, a lot cheaper...
Anh là 1 người rất dễ thương. Tuyệt vời ❤❤❤
Glad you're back in Vietnam.
I am thinking about going to Vietnam the only thing that is putting me off is how the locals who you encounter quite a lot of them are trying to rip you off
Chào. bạn rất vui khi bạn quay lại Việt Nam
Com tam is favorite dish to eat when I am in Vietnam. Get it with a grilled pork chop next time, it’s delicious!
Awesome video ❤❤❤ love your videos 😊

Ahh this was may favorite thing in Saigon!! Haha. Hope you're enjoying Vietnam! Do you plan to come back to the Philippines soon? I thought you would be coming back for Fiba!
The popular version of broken rice dish has grilled pork chop and fried egg.
Went there 30 years ago I was the only tourist
Happy day👍🏴

Com tam (crushed rice). When consuming it the u r done for this life. 😊
1 coconut can't cost 50k
😨
Nó chỉ hơn 10k thôi.ko nên mua nó ở những nơi có nhiều khách du lịch
Những người bán này đã có sự bảo kê nên bán giá rất cao

❤❤❤❤❤ from 🇻🇳
I like you, wish you always cheerful and happy
the reason I like com tam better is because the rice is broken, so it doesn't need as much water to get cooked and it's drier than the normal rice.
For Com Tam, if you wake up after 8am, you probably don't have good Com Tam :) Most good places already close down by 9am.
for those who do labor work, I don't mind give them more, but I still negotiate a right price. Then I'll give them a big tip.
I have same shoes, was thinking of taking them with me, how have they held up in your travels in Vietnam, would you recommend or take cheaper pair of shoes
No you should bring them with you - one of my best travel purchase because of how comfortable they are!
When in Vietnam, BARGAIN. Always offer them at least 2/3 of what they asked for. Just like what you did with the dried mango vendor. Great job, brother.
Always ask and negotiate prices before agreeing to buy. If they suspect you don't know local prices, they will scam you.
Never have I ever seen someone off the street glue shoes as a service! That was kind of interesting!
Love your videos, as an average tourist we can relate, we all make mistakes and we learn by them and you are teaching us along the way.. Thank You (and why are you single?)

You're so handsome 😍😍😍
50k for a coconut? That guy took advantage of the tourist big time.
Wow, you brought the coconut so expensive, as a local buy this coconut 20k only
What is your camera very good
👍👍
👍❤️🇹🇭
Also, I notice that you tend to ask for what you want before you ask how much....ask how much first.
Shoe repair worths a trip to Vietnam. 😂😅

The Mango doesn't cost 300k $ !..way too much (!!!) .
Tourist - Never buy unless you see a price…no price display do not buy…
Asking is not a good thing either…they can go try a low number but still high according to Vietnamese ppl…
You should not by nothing in Ben Thanh market they are sell too high
Quả dừa 50k 😓
Sốc thật chứ buôn bán thất đức kiểu đuổi khách là đây.
50k coconut is really sad for him
What? you ate half the dish already and you didn't add fish sauce? :)
Also, don't eat com tam with chopsticks :) Use spoon.
when someone tries to tell you some crazy price, return and go to the next shop, probably next door. teach them a lesson.

Why did you experience too much scam around? If you accompany with a local friend, it’s better.
