It's so nice to see that these small businesses are starting to appreciate a popular UA-camr like yourself to come and to showcase their businesses. Good to see that your vietnamese is improving, you're getting compliments now Max👍
Well, Max is a man of Banh Mi. I'm pretty sure he has eaten far more types of Banh Mi than any most of Vietnamese people do. The way he enjoyed Vietnamese Banh Mi is so precious!
Been following your channel since 30k subscribers. It's crazy how much your vietnamese understanding and speaking has improved. Please do continue to record interactions with the locals! Love to see it.
I’ve been staying in Saigon for whole life but i dont even know much places to eat like you Max. The food you introduce to people is delicious, i can even “smell” it from ur video. Good job Max!!!
I watched many of your videos and am amazed every time how you know to eat Vietnamese food properly like a Vietnamese. It's all about mixing and combining the sides into the main dish to bring out the bursting flavors and textures. You do it so well. I especially like your countryside vlogs.
If you need a little culinary guide help from someone in Saigon, I can ask my cousin for you. She is Vietnamese and she also can speak English =) By watching your videos I can revisit my roots in Vietnam. Makes me miss it even more than ever. Thank you so much, Max ❤️
Dang Max, that's a great tip that I had never heard before about a good sign of the quality of the food is the large number of pre-packaged side dish like soup and fish sauce. That makes perfect sense, those places will be hopping during peak periods and they are going to sell so many portions, a sign of their popularity. Those chili dishes, full of red hot chili with the yellow fiery seeds remind me of scenes of VN football match with thousands of Vietnamese wearing their red T shirts with the VN yellow stars.
Max, your Vietnamese is straight up killing it! Congrats dude! I know you’re working hard on it and Vietnamese is NOT easy. My cousins in Saigon laugh at my pronunciation all the time. 🤣 I’m super impressed and proud of your Vietnamese language evolution since watching you for almost 2 years! Keep it up, dude. Go Razorbacks!

You are officially a certified Vietnamese , because it seems like your heart belongs there somehow , someway , and for sometime now . Mr or Ms Tour Guide, allow me to appeal to you. Please teach the Hanoians how to do justice to Vietnamese food. Hanoian F&B operators are so keen on making a fast buck that they compromise in terms of quality and service. If Hanoi had any claim to fame, it was the beef/chicken pho noodles. My personal favorites are Vietnamese, Mediterranean/Middle Eastern, and Cajun. :) I'd toss in Italian, Thai, and Japanese, but everyone loves those cuisines. The cuisines lots of people love and hype up but I don't like as much are Mexican, Indian, and Korean. I mean, they are good, but they're not as good to me as people make them out to be and they'd rank lowest on my personal list.
@@doodahgurlieGreat Mexican food is hard to find around the world outside of southern usa.
