- 🇻🇳 After arriving at my favorite new place of the year, Tan Son Nhat airport, Max was there to meet me and bring me to breakfast. And what better way to start the day than with a giant plate of broken rice?! So we hopped on Max's bike and went of to search for a delicious plate of com tam. We ended up finding a place that would rival American prices. Hope you enjoy.

A normal price for a plate of broken rice in OC, California is between $12-$17. For a large deluxe plate, it could be $20 plus. The most expensive whatever in Saigon is still a bargain for some people in the US.
It's amazing how they became so proficient in Vietnamese in only 3-4 years. I'm guessing full immersion forces you to adapt quickly
Khá là thích 2 bạn ng nước ngoài này. Vui vẻ, hoà đồng, và nói tiếng việt rất chuẩn. Mà cũng mong các quán, nhà hàng bán cho ng nc ngoài lên bán đúng giá. Đừng chặt chém khách vì nghĩ ng nc ngoài họ ko biết giá, làm như vậy có tiếng rất xuấu với khách du lịch

Com Tam is looked delicious but it's crazy expensive. Two weeks ago, I had Com Neu in Tu Xuong, District 3 for two. It's only 510 thousand VN dong with three dishes. Thank you for sharing. ......from California
Restaurants in the city center often have higher prices. In District 3, the cost of space is also quite high. For sidewalk eateries, it will be quite cheap, restaurants in districts far from the center will be cheaper, usually locals will know which restaurants are both delicious and economical, there are many such restaurants. Therefore, depending on the income of each person, they will choose the restaurant that is suitable for them. Wish you have a trip full of experiences.

Everytime I traveled to Vietnam, my family stayed at my aunt's house just down the street at the intersection of Nguyen Van Cu & Nguyen Trai. The NVC Com tam is just too expensive for normal people in Saigon. I stopped by this place once in a while to order com tam for the whole family to eat. Otherwise they will never spend money for it.
District 1, house rent is so expensive because its CENTER DOWTOWN!! You cant expect it cheap ì you’re eating at restaurant.
My sister & 3 of her friends start open bussines in quận 1, the house is 4000usd for ONLY 1 FLOOR of 75sqm (70m2), and the owner say they’re down price after the covid. Before covid, the owner say his pre-rent always around 4600usd.
Smaller shop in small alley might cheaper
And plus, if uou eat special dishes or full of many toppings is add more money.

Yes this was a more expensive meal, but atmosphere looks nice and clean, not to busy and food looked really good, and I felt like I could almost smell all the great food and wonderful 🍵 tea. Wish I were there 🙏❤️🌎

The rice dishes you both have are big, delicious and flavorful. Well worth it. They even have granite table top. Good restaurant. A bowl of beef noodle soup (Pho) is 20 USD in America now with a free teapot and paper towels. The shocking 10 then 12 USD price not long ago is now only memory of the past. Thanks to inflation, taxation and a few other things.
Enjoy your videos, was wondering if you could make as a few shorter ones just describing the dishes, prices, etc. Sometimes people don't have a lot of time to watch chit chat and be entertained, they just want to see the food and how to eat it, and where to get it.

Người Việt sinh sống tại Hải ngoại, họ không nói được tiếng Việt, một số vì họ sinh ra và lớn lên tạ Hải Ngoại, việc nói tiếng Việt là một chuyện rất khó thực hiện hoặc ít có dịp để nói. Khi đã không có dịp học nói thì việc tìm hiểu về lịch sử và văn hoá Việt Nam, cũng không phải là điều kiện tiên quyết mà họ phải làm.
Khi đến trường học và khi đi làm việc, họ phải học và sinh hoạt bằng tiếng của nơi họ sinh ra và lớn lên.
Thí dụ, một người Việt sinh ra và lớn lên tại Đức, từ khi bắt đầu vào lớp mẫu giáo, cho đến khi học xong Đại Học, họ phải học tất cả các môn học bằng tiếng Đức.

@@yoshipham1941 cám ơn bạn đã có cm khẳng định tôi nói đúng, nhiều vk tự nhục ko dám nhận mình là Ng Việt...nên thua sắc dân Nhật, TQ, Hàn...họ đi lâu nhưng luôn dạy con cái giữ ngôn ngữ, văn hoá cội nguồn, vk thì ở VN mấy chục năm đi Mỹ vài năm về giả quên Tiếng Việt mình ko tự trọng thì dân bản xứ sẽ coi khinh sắc dân mình

Bạn nói người ta "Suy nghĩ trước khi mở lời", trong khi bạn đọc chưa kĩ chưa nắm được ý người ta nói thì đã cãi, đã công kích rồi. Người ta nói người Việt trong ngoài nước (ý đơn giản là khen anh ta am hiểu lịch sử, văn hoá Việt thôi), chẳng liên quan gì tới người Việt sống ở nước ngoài cả, không ai nhắc tới người Việt sống ở nước ngoài hết.
