Hi, I am diagnosed with Scoliosis two days ago and its scary. I'm 26, and my doctor said its too late to straighten my spin to normal position. Your account is the only account that I could find for really the questions I’m looking for. Thank you! Do I need a second pillow for my legs?
Sorry I’m just seeing this! I’m glad you’ve found my account helpful. There is a lot of hope living with scoliosis. Our body is constantly changing. If things can get worse, that means they can also get better!! Yes a pillow for your legs can be helpful if you’re finding the position uncomfortable. You should be able to fully relax and find ease:)
Hi! I have a S scholiosis with right dorsal curve and left lumbar curve. This lumbar one went worse on the late years. How is my best position to sleep? Thank you
This is interesting (I was told two days ago I have a mild scoliosis) but this caught my eye: "If you sleep between 8-10 hours per night, you are spending 9,000 hours a year in bed." May I point out: 365 x 10 = 3,650 hours each year in bed.
I m from india and i had scoliosis sergery 10 year befor not i have pain if ido heavy work or have breathing problem while sleeping it is normal after lond time have pain in scoliosis
hi. we have the same case, and i really dont know what is the right position for dextroscoliosis in throacic spine.. can you upload more position for throcic spine. right curviture
I have an s-curve and my right rib protrudes my right scapula protrudes my right shoulder rolls forward which is obviously the reason for the surgeon and I just feel like my lower right rib is narrowin my left side is wider and more open When I sleep I like to sleep on my back but I'm really not sure if it's the best position for me
I noticed your support bra and would like to know where I can get one. I have right thoracic curve and think that bra would be a great reminder to stand more correct.
Thanq so much , so helpful
You’re welcome!!
Thanks for the video 😊
You're welcome:)

As a 15 year old I find this very helpful, it’s quite hard to find a sleeping position that doesn’t make my back hurt, so thanks for the video!

Hi! I have a S scholiosis with right dorsal curve and left lumbar curve. This lumbar one went worse on the late years. How is my best position to sleep? Thank you
If your lumbar curve is the larger curve, sleeping on your right side or back would be best.
My left shoulder is higher than my right. Which position of sleep or which side is the best to have a comfortable sleep? Thank you.
I have the same question.
Hi, may i know the right direction of sleep for dextroscolosis?
I have upper back pain and right curve thoracic spine. What would be my best sleeping position??
If the right curve is your largest curve, left side lying or on your back is best.

I have severe thoracolumbar scolosis. My belly button has migtrated 1 1/2 in to my left. Best sleep position?.?
It sounds like the curve is toward the right maybe? If so, you would sleep on your left or on your back!

Hello🙂.. I have double curve scoliosis. Can I ask what the right position to sleep? Thank you!❤️
If both curves are the same size, sleeping on your back is best or side sleeping on either side works as well:)
How should I use the wedge under the leftward kyphosis and forward lordosis on back sleeping position?
hi. we have the same case, and i really dont know what is the right position for dextroscoliosis in throacic spine.. can you upload more position for throcic spine. right curviture
If your right thoracic curve is your main curve, left side lying or on your back is best!
If you have right side curve, do you need to a wedge on opposite side?
@@thescoliotherapist thank you, yes i feel comfortable on the left side than sleeping on the right side.
I have scoliosis in left side, which is best sleep position for me
😊
Hi! If your curve is on the left, lying on your back or on your right side is best for sleep:)
Regarding side sleeping, if one is fully fused T4 - 12 with no flexibility in the curve, would your advice be the same as in this video?
Really good question! Because of your fusion, you want to pay attention to your lumbar curve. You would want to lie on your lumbar concavity!
I have mild scoliosis. Would sleeping on my back be ok?
Yes definitely!
Good day , I would love to have a chat thank you
Hi Karin! The best way to set that up is to use this link here to schedule: schedulethescoliotherapist.as.me/
Will. I have a left curve and my right hip is higher ...what would be the best position/s for me
Right side would be optimal!
@@thescoliotherapist so I have to sleep on the right side?
@@layandiab8777 if you have the same curve as described above, yes 👍
Hi Dr Meg...can i email and ask you about my daughter scoliosis? hope tat u can help me solve some of my doubt. tq
yes you can send an email! meg@thescoliotherapist.com
Can I email you you my x rays for you evaluation? Do you accept BCBS insurance?

When I sleep I like to sleep on my back but I'm really not sure if it's the best position for me
Your back is a great position! You could make it even more comfortable by putting a small hand towel or Scolio-wedges under your prominences.
❤
That is simply and clear instruction!😊

The top I’m wearing is from Athleta. It’s not a special support bra though.
How to order? Do you need prescription?
