Bobs undermount sink repair video is the absolute best advice I have heard or seen. Any one with the problem should give Bob's video serious consideration and attention. You and your fianc'ee are celebrities. Your should have your own celebrity DYI tv show. Thank you Bob!
Thanks for your life-saving tip. 🙏🙏🙏 My sink is sinking, and your tip of the Repair Kit works like a charm! 😍😍😍 Hope more and more people watch this, get to know the Repair Kit, and being helped out! 🤟
Great video and extremely helpful. Also… I love how you love your city, I could tell how you talk about Philly. We all should take pride and appreciation in our cities like you do! Blessings my bro and thanks again for helping with my sink issue.
Thank you soo much! I received an estimate for $700!! No one else would touch my undermount repair issue so I gave it a go and followed your directions to the letter. The $35 3rd hand Jack was a life saver. The $35 brackets made the repair super easy. Including caulk the total repair was less than $80 bucks and took only an hour or so. Thanks a bunch! GOCOWBOYS!
Thank you so much. I now realize the cabinet and sink installers did not use any mounts to hold up my kitchen sink. It fell all the way down to the floor of the cabinet. When they come back, I will watch them like a hawk to see if any mounts are installed and especially one like you showed in the video. If they do not install one like yours, I will buy it and install it myself.
I love the commentary on Philadelphia; the reputation is so terrible, this is very interesting! Thank you for video…gonna try this repair, I am broke-my sink is separating on one side and I have a leak and mold issue up under there. Thank you so much for taking time to create this helpful video.
Great video on an amazing solution. This should be standard on all undermount sinks! In my application I had undermount clips on the sides and just used these in the middle. Amazon delivered them the next day and they worked perfectly. Highly recommend.
Your video was so helpful, and you are very professional, and take pride in your work. I just wish I could clone you for the area I live in. Extremely helpful & informative. I have a double undercount sink where a couple clips secured with an epoxy failed. Decided to research a more secure & practical way to resecure the sink for a more permanent solution and this example is by far the best approach for my situation. Planning to install this bracket system on all four sides of the double sink. Thanks!
Thank you so much!! I purchased this for the sink in my RV. It was a bear trying to work in such a confined space but it worked perfect. I'm not a carpenter or even a handy man... so watching your video made it easier for me to tackle this task.
If you put in an undercount sink you can add the brackets during the initial install and avoid any problems down the road. These brackets can be used as a preventative measure as well.
Why would I trust putting bracket screws into side cabinet particle board? In the long term wouldn't screws under pressure eventually pull out? Thank you!
I grew up in fishtown wasn’t always like that. It started to get crowded right before the casino came in . I still own my house there but live in Texas now
Just be sure the side walls can handle the pressure. I have a similar style idea with wood that failed after it pushed the right side wall. A block of wood in the back corner and front corner will help to hold the walls together when doing this.
Sergio, glad the video helped you and that you got your hands on one of these awesome tools. I use them for just about everything, but their extremely helpful when installing or removing ceiling fans. Cheers, Bob
Thanks so much! I had a new countertop and undermount sink installed 2 years ago. Installation warranty was for 1 year only and now same company wants $400.00 to fix it. No way would I have them back again. I will definitely fix it myself using your advice.
I did a like and subscribed - at first because you saved the bird but then because I learned more than one thing! I ordered one of those screwdrivers - love it. I ordered some of those braces - a piece of plywood would kind of work but those braces are forever! But I have a question - where do I get one of those "third hand" jacks? Thanks
I would have to purchase two of those brackets, because both sides of my undermount were falling. I just wish I’d seen this video prior to struggling to scrape, re-epoxy, and lift that dang sink yesterday. 🤦🏽♀️😩
dang it what razer knife is that? I cant find one that looks like it. Was trying to find a razer that is a bit longer than the normal ones so it would go in a little further.. but not require me to man handle the razer blade directly. That looks good but cant find it.
LOL, Thanks Don. That's hysterical and quite the compliment. Keep it up pal, hope this helped you with your own project and that you found it to be an easy repair. Cheers, Bob
If you have a double sink you will be fine with just one kit. Each kit has five pieces (three long and two short) in it and so you can put one on each side and the shorter ones on the back, corners or front depending on space. Make sure you put some clear GE 100% silicone on the sink top prior to putting it in place. You will most likely need someone helping you hold it in place while installing the arms.
It's a third hand and it came from Amazon. You can find them here: www.amazon.com/FastCap-Little-Support-16-5-Inch-22-8-Inch/dp/B000067S13/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=third+hand&qid=1613216350&sr=8-9
Depends on your circumstances. If only one side of your sink has collapsed you only NEED one, but I would install two in hopes to avoid experiencing the issue again. The Amazon package comes with five and one or two of them are short while the others are longer.
be sure you have enough space underneath the sink that will allow the braces to fit. So a smaller cabinet like I have is very difficult to get these braces to fit and support the sink.
Trust me, the liquid nailing or using epoxy to "glue" the blocks from the bottom WILL eventually "let go" and your sink WILL fall; my sink was put up this way many years ago, 10-12, and wanna guess why I'm looking at this video? It did hold for a good number of years, but we all know when everything fails lol. I wedged a 2X4 up under my sink to temp hold it up in place and used the liquid nails fuze-it to put the blocks back up; I left the 2X4 in place through the weekend to allow plenty of time to set completely. I then measured and cut 2X4s and screwed them up under the sink horizontally from end to end, using "L" brackets on the ends of the boards and screwing them boards under the blocks to "secure" the blocks in place; this way, I have the best of two ideas and doubt my sink will ever fall again...when I'm "least ready for it to fall" lol. I then used 100% brown silicone to seal the gap on the topside where the sink and counter meet; my counter is a brownish stone, so it looks really good. I secured the 2x4s at angles to push up flush against the blocks to even out the pressure across the face of the blocks. Im certain i could stand in my sink and it not budge; but wont be testing that confidence. ANY honest contractor will tell you that glued blocks will NOT hold forever, because I'm certain they get many a calls to fix them when they "let go". I hope this helps you.
Tried this fix, but it was not easy for a 48" wide vanity with side drawers where the sink had come completely off the countertop. It took a whole day, we had to add wooden supports to the front of the vanity to which we attached the braces, and the angle was impossible to set the braces as they should have been set. Vanity sides were too far away to use the braces on the sides of the sink, front to back it was too narrow. Still, if it saves me $1000 to replace two vanities in our master bath (they need to match) and another $1000 in installation costs, it is worth it. Spent $68 on the brackets and the third hand. Spent much time apologizing to Jesus for the bad language. Praying the other sink doesn't separate.
Watch my other video on using epoxy to repair the sink. It’s a different method and should be used when the vanity is larger. I think you will find it is more in line with your particular issue.

Can you put a notation that will give viewers the make or model for the Third Hand tool?
For a double sink, would you recommend putting one of those kits on each side?
If you have a double sink you will be fine with just one kit. Each kit has five pieces (three long and two short) in it and so you can put one on each side and the shorter ones on the back, corners or front depending on space. Make sure you put some clear GE 100% silicone on the sink top prior to putting it in place. You will most likely need someone helping you hold it in place while installing the arms.
Where is the link for the kit? Good video
I like the repair but would have placed the 2nd bracket up to brace sink from two points pinching the sink in place since I was there anyway.
They fixed mine like 3 mos ago and it fell again like 30 mins ago. However they didn’t put those braces like you did.
Hello 👋 how much would you charge for that work?
Great idea! Where did you get the 3rd arm? Brand?
It's a third hand and it came from Amazon. You can find them here: www.amazon.com/FastCap-Little-Support-16-5-Inch-22-8-Inch/dp/B000067S13/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=third+hand&qid=1613216350&sr=8-9
This looks like something we can do. I only have about 2 1/2 inches between the sink basin abs side of the cabinet. Is that enough space to do this?
Yes that’s perfect
Water weighs roughly 8lbs per gal
You are a life saver! Found several versions of brace on Amazon. Do you have a specific brand or part number you used? Thanks!
It’s in the video description and I’m happy this helped you. Don’t forget to subscribe.
And where do you buy a third hand jack?
Put some double side tape to hold to cabinet wall
Upsell and fix the stair tread going up to the rooftop.
since your product pushes against the edge of the sink, wouldn't I need 2, one on each side?
Depends on your circumstances. If only one side of your sink has collapsed you only NEED one, but I would install two in hopes to avoid experiencing the issue again.
The Amazon package comes with five and one or two of them are short while the others are longer.
Where can I purchase that tool
be sure you have enough space underneath the sink that will allow the braces to fit. So a smaller cabinet like I have is very difficult to get these braces to fit and support the sink.
They should fit almost every sink even when the clearance is very low. It’s when the clearance is much wider that you need to watch our other video
What silicone adhesive do you recommend using for mounting ss undermount sink to granite?
100% silicone adhesive which can be purchased in a tub @ Local Hardware Store
Subbed and liked too. 👍
A car scissor jack might suffice as well if u dont have that special jack. The supplied screws seems a bit undersized.
A car scissor jack would work fine, but the screws have to be that size to avoid going through the 3/4" sidewall of the cabinet.
I have been to Filthadephia many times. What would anyone want to live like that. Thank God for the south and open country.
