What is the name /manufacturer of the straps you are using? Where can I purchase?
Found it... look for steel strapping/galvanized steel straps w/ holes. Amazon has them and I'm guessing Home Depot would too.
It fell off next day😂 turns out you need to use polyurethane silicone.

Much better method than attaching the sink with wood and apoxy.
Do the straps come off? You don’t put any more caulk around underneath? Does the caulk alone hold up the sink?
Caulk alone does hold the sink in place but for extra protection we don’t remove straps & no more caulk underneath.
Had all the same questions
You are supposed to use clips. I have never seen someone use these to hold up a sink.. pretty laughable.
@@TheBuildingExpert the caulk or silicone is not enough to hold the sink up. Mine just collapsed.

What type of silicone
Clear 100% silicone, some caulks do not contain silicone or have very little, only downside of this type is you cannot clean it off if you mess up the application (think the toughest bubblegum stuck on carpet) so I highly recommend putting painters tape on both the edge of the sink and the edge of the countertop where they meet each other.

I install granite countertops everyday. Depending on the cabinet....... we have to board/clamp. Pending on how big/small the base is.

I think some people leave them to prevent sagging.
The straps is primarily what's holding the sink, the silicone just acts as water sealant and not an adhesive, to prevent water from sipping through. If the strap goes off, the sink falls.
