    I have used BSI kicker when I built my balsa RC airplanes. It works well. Good product.

    Kudos most comprehensive CA finish on video.
    Do you follow the same steps in epoxy sanding?

    • @CuemakersGuild
      @CuemakersGuild  5 місяців тому

      Thank you. Yes sir, it is essentially the same process, only with epoxy and start at 220 grit.

    Question....how thick do you estimate the two layers of seal are as well as the 10 layers of CA? This would help me estimate how much material to take off if I'm targeting a certain OD after finish especially when performing a repair.

    • @CuemakersGuild
      @CuemakersGuild  4 місяці тому +1

      Thank you for your question.
      If using medium CA you can manipulate the overall thickness based on hand pressure. Each person will be a little different, but on average, you can expect roughly .003" per layer. So 12 total layers and you are looking at about .036". You have to also take into consideration that roughly 40% of that will be sanded back off.

    What are the seal coats? How are they applied?

      @CuemakersGuild  3 місяці тому

      The seal coats are the same as the clear coats but just used to seal the cue between rest periods.

    When using this method, how do you avoid getting any on the joint face?
    And how do you get the clear nice on the rounded edges of the buttcap?

    • @CuemakersGuild
      @CuemakersGuild  5 місяців тому +1

      Thank you for your question.
      Joint face:
      When applying the CA you will notice that there is a fluid single motion at the joint, DO NOT PULL BACKWARDS and you will be left with a very neat, slight roll over that is faced off as a final step when fitting the shaft.
      Buttcap:
      This is done during the installation of the bumper, simply use the polishing compound with a micro fiber cloth to smooth and polish the curved transition.

    Could you elaborate a bit on the expoxy seal layer? benefits / reasons. Which product do you recommend especially as it relates to yellowing overtime and the overall process. Thanks in advance.
