I can unequivocally say that I have always picked up some new or old way of doing a project from your videos. Especially working with resin. Also, I like how you deal with some simple project that turns into a problem. THINK ABOUT IT.
insomnia i’m a truck driver(in the sleeper😂) just getting ready to wet my feet in woodworking i’ve played around with epoxy. This was a very informative video with a lot of cool ideas. that shot of you covered in dust pretty fking funny. anyway needless to say, I subscribed i’ll probably be binge watching your channel for the next couple of days I actually found your channel through another one where the guy called you some no-name UA-camr 😂
Sorry, Electric sheet metal tools would have made your life easier. There is a tool which looks like the wringer on an old washing machine that would have helped your hammered copper. Sunlight UV curing works really well and fast on a "nice" day as long as you get uniform exposure. Works for UV cure hard finishes too. This is the last comment, I hope I don't sound annoying ...
I also listen to your videos in their entirety. I suffered a massive stroke in Aug 2015. The hospital corporation treated me and moved me to their stroke rehab facility but refused to discharge me because I lived by myself and they said it was a liability issue. My Sister was divorced and an empty-nester who lived in SE North Carolina. She gathered her son from Raleigh and they came to Norfolk, Va to secure my release and moved me into her home. I have since acquired a Non-Service Disability Retirement Pension from the Veteran's Administration and have moved into my own apartment in Morehead City. I was an outcast all the way through school and bullied most of the way through school because I was very small for my age. I was only 4' 8" tall and 84 lbs on May 16th of my Sophomore year in High School and didn't even start puberty until I was 16 1/2 years old. This was the main reason I was still a social outcast with only two years remaining before graduation. I never got invited to anything and remained a social outcast until graduation. No parties. No dating. No prom. No problem! I was used to it. I live by myself. I didn't grow up in the Morehead City area. I don't know anybody. And due to my 60% Left-side paralysis and no car, no personal transportation, and no in depth knowledge of the area; I have no desire to go anywhere to even try to make any friends. Your Videos are a comforting presence in my life. The tonal quality of your voice is comforting. But even more so; you don't ramble on and on with useless self-aggrandizing comments like many Gaming video up-loaders do. You talk a lot, but you don't ramble. I subscribe to UA-cam Premium and can play any videos on my TV start to finish without interruption while I go about doing other things. Sometimes I stop and actually watch and am amazed at the quality of your work. Regardless - your "presence" in my home goes a long way towards making me not feel alone.
I’m going to watch this later to go to sleep to tonight, you have a soothing voice lol, and woodworking just comforts me, my dad passed away 2 years ago and he was a carpenter and we used to make stuff together. Thank you for all your videos Cam
Cam, I love the longer content. I could watch you work for days. I have loved almost every single piece you have ever made. You’re an amazing and very talented man. I think what adds to the expensive looking finish of your pieces is the time you finish perfecting every tiny defect. Truly beautiful workmanship
Insomnia is not a problem anymore, but when it was, I picked up a habit of putting on something to listen to, so dark thoughts wouldn't overwhelm me. The voiceover in your videos keeps the loud sounds of the tools down and makes them calming. I've seen (or listened to) most of your videos and woke up to the end of this one today. Had to start it over to fully enjoy it. Thank You...
Insomnia was how I found your channel. Now, I find myself running your videos in the middle of a stressful day as a way to decompress. I find the videos entertaining and your finished pieces beautiful. Keep it up.
Cam, I have self diagnosed insomnia😉 and I'm taking a path through your videos, watching them yet again, listening to your voiceover. As for the table--> she came out beautiful; wood and this 🦋 effect is 👌🏻 Greeting from Europe at almost 1 am. Still early for me. 🤦🏼♀️🤣😂🤣
Honestly, I would say take the ppl watching your videos to go to sleep as a compliment. It's de-stressing and satisfying to watch a project come together from raw materials.
Insomnia - LOL, I could not sleep woke up at 4:30 am. I started watching not realize it was 2.5 hours. Great builds, so precise on your measurements, I am amazed and at awhed. I did learn few new things for me. Thanks. I am retired and like working with wood, gives me sense of accomplishment.
I literally just started using your videos to help me sleep this week! What incredible timing. I promise it’s a great compliment, I only use the most comforting of content to send me off. Thanks so much for creating such pleasant and inspiring content :)
I don't want to start with insomnia ....This is a nice way to chill on Boxing Day ...I didn't realise I'd been watching you for over three years. My son even joined me for some of this.. Donate the table to a school library of your choice. It might inspire the kids. Loved every project here but your wife's desk is still my favorite!
Insomnia is a huge issue for me, but your voice and even tone helps me get to sleep sometimes, but that's just a bonus to seeing your awesome work. All it means is I rewatch your videos several times because I miss parts when I fall asleep to your soothing voice!
CAM.....Absolutely exciting....My Dad built restaurants all over the USA and Canada, from a small shop in Detroit. This was was way back the 50’s and 60’s....I spent a lot of time in the summer at his shop. He was amazingly innovative and had a great reputation as an artist in his field. I found your video inadvertently & was immediately transfixed. I did indeed fall asleep, but woke up multiple times. I was so fascinated by the projects, I kept on watching to the end. Great presentation and videography. I would think that the N3 Nano could offer luthiers some use to conclude their builds, as well in the long term maintenance for high end guitars, mandolins, and other stringed instruments. I enjoyed this from start to finish....You gained permanent fan here....
Cam love your videos my brother!!! I'm an old retired cabinet maker!!! Well I say retired! What I really mean is that I stopped selling anything I make!!! But to be honest I have been in the worst slump over this past year!!! And I so agree with you about using hand tools!!! Now my thinking is those who use nothing but hand tools are just tight with their money!!! I absolutely love nothing more than buying new tools!!! A lot of them I sneak and order!!! My wife doesn't say to much about me buying tools! But I still need no want her to keep me in line!!! Sure hard on the savings account thingy!!! Ba humbug!!! Lol that desk you made sure gives me the spirit I need to get back in my shop!!! I as well own a band mill and it's getting about the time of year for me to get back to work with it!!! Seeing how the Copperheads and Rattle snakes!!! Hey brother when you are cutting metal you need to invest in one of those cutters that fits in your cordless drill!!! I love the look of the metal especially the bluing but I love the copper look!!! But not taking anything away from the bluing metal!!! Because that looks amazing my friend...
Cam, insomnia is not the problem. I loved watching your work. I used to build custom furniture, but switched to the lathe after making 22 spindles for a baby cradle. Great channel, great spirit, I subscribed.
As a total novice and just beginning my woodworking journey I really enjoy your channel and can only aspire to your level in the distant future! Keep up the fantastic work!
i love your work! i am just a kid, but you inspire me because i find woodworking fun, and have been doing small construction projects since i was young. thanks for the finishing tutorial!!!!!
I first off want to say thank you for long videos. I stay up late doing my college homework. I love getting to listen and watch in t breaks. My boyfriends that goes to bed early has to have the tv playing to fall asleep. I had workshop in my small town high school. While i watch your videos, i can reminded about all the projects and things i made in school. The teacher we had gave more skilled projects kids that were in the shop classes longer. So a fun memory I have making a scrap wood cutting board, the guy next to me was building a dog house. He furnished the roof and siding and then crawled inside and fell alseep. our teacher was not happy.
I have a confession..I having a warm spot in my heart for woodworking from my high school days...watched the entire video from front to back. I will also admit my jealousy of your shop and the awesome tools and various machines it is equipped with. Clearly I am impressed with your talent and most impressed with your persistence in perfection (or as close to perfect as possible). I'm at this stage in my life 72 years young and still intrigued by the wonders of wood. Please keep up the great videos as I am definitely one of your subscribers. Thanks Cam.
Insomnia lol. I enjoy watching your videos as it reminds me of watching my dad when I was younger. He was a qualified carpenter and joiner over here in the UK for many years and always made bespoke furniture for around our house. Sadly dad was taken from us over 20 years ago and watching your videos always brings a smile to my face and I'm sure if he was still alive he would enjoy them as well. I like the long format videos you do! Keep up the great work Cam
Ngl Cam your work is amazing and I like watching it both to learn and fall asleep too. Which tbh I'd say take it as a compliment to those who find that you make videos that are good enough to help people fall asleep, as it's still beneficial to the human mind to learn right before going to bed. On top of that you're content is extremely interesting and inspiring even for a simple desk! Keep up the good work!
Having been a cabinet maker all my working life I can so appreciate the mind blowing skills of this brilliant artisan. Long may his talents be handed down
Thanks for explaining the differences and abilities of American chisels and Chinese chisels. I’ve been trying to figure out just how the Chinese chisels made cutting wood look like cutting butter. Nice work-and great tips and tricks.
I love compilation videos and I really hope that there will be some more on your channel in the future! I actually planned watching this while falling asleep… well I couldn’t comment if I was asleep 😂
Hope this find you well. I recently started woodworking so I can stay busy in my retirement days. I had wood shop in high school. I started watching your videos. You had inspired me in sharpening woodworking skills. Thank you for your passion, your creativity, it’s contagious. I enjoy your work, and editing techniques. Superb presentation ! Thank You. I’ll keep watching the rest of your videos. Ed Vela, from Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
I passed out watching TV, woke up to this playing , love love love your pieces, just outstanding work and I love the way u edit and film it and talk about it as well.
Cam, my man!! Yes, I agree too with plenty of people out there. I definitely watch your videos to fall asleep at night, like a relaxing video to wind down the work day :) The work you have done actually motivated me to build my own bed, which took me about 3 weeks to finalise! Thank you for all the awesome videos!
Also they're are times where I learn a TON from your style video, and other times it plays in the background while I work on computer office stuff. But the details are SUPER VALUABLE! Especially for us guys just starting to finally build our personal shops and aren't big tooled up. Don't change a thing, if we're in a hurry we know how to skip to highlights
Cam, it was great watching your video, I have insomnia and I actually woke up to it playing and rewound it and watched the whole thing! You are a very talented Craftsman thank you for your videos!
Hi Professor Cam, you’re living the life. You’re not working with your hands, you’re creating works of art with your hands. I had shop in jr high and hi school back in the 60s. Electric, metal, and wood shop and I must say the most soothing, relaxing, and satisfying was wood shop. Your video’s should be shown in public schools to introduce and encourage kids to an enjoyable profitable future they can have in woodworking. Your demonstration and explanation in each project was top shelf. 😊 Thank you
Insomnia.😂 I love your videos. You do amazing work. Your tables are absolutely beautiful. I’ve Woodworking all my life and I love the way you are so detailed about your finishing. Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing what’s next. By the way, I guess I need help because I watched the whole video.😊
I’m so impressed Cam! You are an excellent teacher as well as woodworking! I’ve been a subscriber for as long as you’ve been on the air (not in the air)ha 😅. I put off watching this thinking it would be long. I was wrong it was the fastest 2 1/2 hrs. I’ve watched. I shared this with my son, as him and his wife are currently building their 1st project ever. They decided to build an epoxy/ wood desk/ work table in my back yard greenhouse. Thank you Cam for your amazing channel.
I too recently made the jump to that sandpaper. I never thought I’d be so amazed and passionate about it. I’ve been trying to convince all my woodworking friends that they need to make the switch. Unbelievable the difference
I'm pretty new to your channel and have sat down for hours watching your projects on my TV. I agree with a statement you made, a video should take as long as necessary. I'm nowhere near as advanced as you but I love creating new woodworking ideas and your channel has taught me so much, so thank you.
Yeah i like the 4k effect (mainly its the shallow depth of view/focus). Good stuff.. makes me want to bring out my Red Camera just to screw something in.
When my 3 year old doesn’t want to nap, we watch your videos. Inevitably he falls asleep and I get to watch supremely satisfying woodworking content. He won’t fall asleep to other woodworking channels (I’ve tried) but you’ve nailed the voice tone and machine volume. Thanks!!
Insomnia is not an issue. What IS an issue.. is I can't stop. I played this.. without looking at the length.. and I realized I didn't move for more than an hour and a half. So.. I dunno if this was intentional.. but :D yeah, please do make more. Lovely content as usual, was really nice to see these older videos again.. keep it up and thanks for all the tips&tricks you share!
I kept checking where the play bar was during the video. That's how fun your content is. Very well exicuted. Highly recommend watching this.Thanks. I like how fine the final product is. On a consistent basis.
Cam.... Hi, just a quick note to you, I was watching a video on how to make a home made small slingshot and when it finished, yr video on yr dining room table automatically jumped on my screen. I absolutely loved your talent and perseverance in creating a beautiful work of art, a functional table and extension with such an amazing grain. Iv got to say this is not my usual viewing entertainment, but from start to finish I was captivated by this wood becoming a dining tabls to be proud of. Nothing in this world is perfect, I think some imperfections create uniqueness. I thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening to your story on this and really that's all I wanted to say. Keep up the amazing work. Our world is better because of yr creations Kind regards.
Insomnia is something I struggle with, because my work schedule leaves me having to flip my days and nights back and forth all the time. BUT! I did sit through all of this, and it was very soothing. Your voice has a quality that my anxiety responds very well to. As for what I would like to see... honestly, whatever you are doing, I will watch. Sometimes, I am really intrigued by the project, but even if I'm not, I watch to see if you are going to get into some spot where it just isn't working. I guess I like watching other people ride the struggle bus. Makes me feel like I'm not as much of a freak as I think I am. LOL Thank you for the videos, thank you for the honesty when you make mistakes. Perfect people are boring. :)
I did watch this one to help me fall asleep... something about the tone of your voice, it,s very soothing. But i do watch the other videos while I am awake, and find you very funny, you even got a chuckle out of my husband, wich is a big win. Love your work, you inspired us to work on some wood/epoxy projects together for our new home.
insomnia. Physician woodworker here. I think your friend was referring to Peyronie's disease is an acquired localized fibrotic disorder of the tunica albuginea resulting in penile deformity--usually a "bent" penis. Not a russian pastry. LOL
That was an amazing anthology. THANK YOU!! I will NEVER try any of what you did, but I did learn so much that I can apply to what I want to do. This is my first time watching you and the big take away for me is that you are extremely innovative. To use an "old school" term, "you think outside the box". Thanks again!!
Yes Cam, you have a really nice tone of voice, especially when you talk a bit slower, coupled with the soothing visions of what you do, that is all so great for chilling out. I find it interesting when I'm awake, and really good for drifting off to as well. Thank you.
Cam, I actually did an all nighter. I suffer from insomnia and found your anthology at 6.30am Australian time. I am not a woodworker but have for ages been interested in epoxy. I really enjoyed all your projects but especially the epoxy table. You must keep that table. Trev.
Insomnia isn't the reason I - and I am sure most of us who are not asleep - are not sleeping. I rearely, if ever, comment on videos, regradless of how much I like them or not, however I felt it necessary to thank you, because your videos made me realize how much I want to start woodworking. I can hardly wait to start. So thank you.
Match and enjoy the extended videos like you said, I never used to watch UA-cam because they were very short videos that left a lot out that would interest me but now what I’m looking for is a 30 minute sometimes more video because I enjoy hearing about what you’re doing how you’re doing it. Thank you.
Cam, I just finished watching...what a great video! I love these since learn a lot. I am a 1 month old in terms of woodworking. It's awesome that you show mistakes, thought process and solutions that work for you. As far as I know there are many ways to achieve results. The epoxy bent table would be loved by any mid-century furniture collector! Thanks!
Stout graduate in woods and plastics shop teacher in 1981. Cam, you can check The Outsider, as he pours a resin and wood door for his log cabin. Also does a copper cabinet door panel and treats it to color it as though it was aged like an old copper roof. Think acid rain. You make projecting interesting.
CAM. Keep the long videos love seeing it come together. And i am learning by watching as well as listening. I love the outcome. I watch videos over and over. And learn more each time
I’d love your Blue acrylic table! I jut fell in love with it! All the Amazing hours you put into it!!! My husband watches you all the time…. I can’t believe how many times I hear your voice , walk through to our bedroom..,. And never complete my task!! I I can’t seem to just see a little.. it’s now 3:30 am. I cane in to go to bed and can’t turn off the TV ! You’d think I had “insomnia “!!!! Love your channel!!
As a wood working family, I shared this video with my wife before liking it. Then after watching a few minutes you have a new subscriber. I also do composite working for a living and my side gig that doesn't pay yet. Is I also do automotive UA-cam videos.
Insomnia yes its me again just wanted to add that you do get a lot of beautiful wood and din't let the haters get you down I've been carpenter since 1974 and the real woodworkers are the ones that enjoy working with this awesome medium that the real woodworker has made for us to use. 😉 👍
************* here to say.... always watch your longer videos when I get home from work n just relaxin the evening away.... so keep em coming**********
Cam I'm new to your channel so take my comment for what it's worth. I happen to enjoy the long videos, 1 1/2 to 2 hours is great, in CT I tend to actually go for more of those kinds and longer, I generally don't watch anything under 30 minutes. I like long videos because I listen to them all day at work, with my earbuds in and phone locked and in my pocket, without UA-cam premium, I'll give your comment section a tip don't use the app for YT, use your internet browser, I use the brave browser, you have the option of background play therefore allowing you to listen with your phone locked. That's a must for me as I'm a carpenter at a decent sized university in my area so I move around a lot and can't realistically keep my phone unlocked and set down somewhere, I would lose it. I love your videos so far, thank you for the content sir!
Insomnia. I have a few things to say, Cam, that you may be pleased to know or you may not, but I'm going to mention them anyway. Firstly, what a great montage of your favourite projects. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them again. Thank you. Secondly, I'm from the UK and have subscribed to your channel for some time now. I'm not a woodworker or the type of person to work with epoxy on the scale that you do. I just love your work. It's that simple. I do use epoxy for building the bodywork for my radio controlled petrol powered speed boats. I have been told some are a work of art and some pure beauty, which is a nice thing to hear after I have put so much time and thought into building the best boats I possibly can. Had I been lucky enough to have won that beautiful blue epoxy bendy table with the zebra wooden leg, I would not have accepted the money. To me, that shows that the viewer didn't care much for the piece of work in the first place. Lastly, when you said, "People prefer your videos to be longer so that they can watch them to fall asleep at night." I wouldn't agree. It is not that they find your videos boring, which is sending them to sleep. Rather, it's the sound of your soothing voice, your dulcet tone that sends them off to dreamland. I suffer with "mild" insomnia, if you can call it that. Is there really such a thing? What I mean is, I regularly go 4 or 5 even 6 days with no sleep, then one day I'll drop off uncontrollably for about an hour, then I'm awake again for several days. I don't do social media for a few reasons, mainly because of all the unesesary and sometimes hurtful things people say. If you decide to acknowledge this comment using the UA-cam system, then I will read what you have to say by email. I have never skipped to the end of any of your videos, I don't see the point. Viewers are either interested in your work or they are not. At least, watching your videos for a few moments means you still receive payment, which is a good thing, right? I think viewers, at least not all of them, understand how much work goes into not just making the items themselves, but all of the behind the camera content. Scenes that we don't get to see. Even editing a video with voice-over is an art. Thanks again.🏴⚒️🇺🇦🇮🇱
Insomnia at 3:45 am. Seen them all before. Love doing what you do. Wish I was as personable so I could do my stuff online too. Oh yeah, I’m 2 hours north of you. Thanks Cam.
*** I know it's been a month already.. consider the 'air' in the space that you are trying to insert the peg.. there is no where for the air to escape as you are pushing it in. sometimes we think the resistance is 'snug' when it is actually 'air' trapped in the space. That is why it is was hard to remove also. a tiniest almost invisible cut along the length would give air an escape route. it will be filled with glue when you finish the piece. :)) I have to say, How lovely is that shape you created.. You really have a nack for tapping into the wood and seeing what it can become. Just finding your channel. May just have to binge watch for a while. I love wood.. so so so beautiful!!
Unlike those critics who don't like your use of butterflys, I like them very much. I feel they help highlight the craftsmanship of the maker and look pretty cool too. On this particular project as nice as they look, I think they would look even more spectacular if made from one of the exotic black or ebony woods but that's just me. Nice Job, you always seem to inspire me.
Cam, just found your channel. I'm not at all a woodworker, although it's always been interesting to me as I love working with my hands, and using tools to fix stuff. Your skills are amazing, and I think the longer videos are far better than short videos. As for the folks who say they fall asleep to your videos, I think it's a compliment. I watch UA-cam every night on my TV as I'm going to sleep and I'll only watch content that I find to be interesting and relaxing at the same time, if that makes sense. 🤷 Look forward to seeing more of the incredible work you do!
Insomnia is under-appreciated ;) I thoroughly enjoyed watching these over again. My original reason for falling into the UA-cam rabbit hole was woodturning videos. I was enthralled and wanted to make anything turned wood to the point I was trying to figure out how to make it work on my apartment porch. My daughter kept reminding me that I have a degenerative nerve problem and it would be highly dangerous. Plus, woodturning is an expensive hobby even if you buy second hand. While I was bouncing around woodturning videos, I was also getting suggestions in my feed for woodWORKING videos. That's how I stumbled across your channel. Yes, your voice is relaxing but your work is intriguing and your commentary is hilarious. Thank you for putting together these videos that are informative, entertaining, AND relaxing. Hope you have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to next year's offerings.
You could, probably should, when off-cuts allow, cut into guitar blanks and sell them as such! Most luthiers suppliers sell boring wood for ridiculous prices! You have access to some of the most beautifully figured wood I’ve seen! I especially admire that Bastogne Walnut you’re hording🤨Even the live edge offcuts could be sold for “river guitars”
I did not have insomnia while watching. Lol I started watching your videos a little over a year ago and have really enjoyed your work and your sense of humor. My first response when people criticize my work is, "that's interesting, please send me the link to your video of how it should be done. I would love to learn from you." I think you know how that goes. Lol Thanks for all your hard work and honesty... there is much that people can learn from you. Happy New Year!
Cam, your video is awesome! A solution for insomnia. I often talk to your videos with affirmations or suggestions that you never hear. I also listen to videos in the car and then sometimes go back and watch what I missed. Thanks!
Insomnia, I made it start to finish. I did some chores through part of it, but I was invested all the way. Awesome work! I appreciate that you included your mistakes, but more importantly how you handled and corrected them 👍
Insomnia doesn't mean bored... I wasn't... You touched on virtually every facet that came along during my ten years as an associate in the Aerospace Engineering Department of Texas A&M University... Tnere was a bit of Electronic requirement which is why I was hired in the first place, but the hands on toil on Student Graduate projects was by far the most rewarding... -pp
Insomnia.... well.... I actually woke up halfway through this video about 7am. Fell asleep to watching a guy build a log cabin and woke up to your curvy cabinet. I have somewhat of my own shop. Bandsaw, lathe, sandblasting cab, cheapo mini harbor freight drill press, rigid chop and table saw, and a ton of other tools (mostly milwauke) I do construction so everything I need to build a house from the footers all the way to the roof and everything in between. At any rate.... man.... I'd love to get out there clean it up and do something like what you do. I think I'd really enjoy making furniture. But I just never feel like I have the time. So good on you. Keep it going!!!!
One should vacuum up walnut sawdust and shavings as they are toxic to almost any plant. Of course bag it and toss it. A thing to ponder is make a relief pocket for glue, epoxy, etc to run to in the end of the tenon in blind holes. That’s the idea for slots in dowels and biscuits or the curved scrapes on dowels. Love your work.
Hi Cam! Beautiful work. The length of video is great. The cabinet ... excellent work. Great job. The curiosity in seeing how you'd get the cabinet wiped the sleep from my eyes. Appreciated Barbados 🇧🇧
Hey there Cameron, I am a master carpenter/sculpture from Scotland. Here's what you need to get for your sanding after you do your initial sculpt. Firstly you need a rubber backing pad for your grinder. Then you get zirconium sanding disks that are made for metal. Not the flap disks as they wear out to quickly. The disks are about £1 each and they last a long time. They are a blue color and you can get really coarse grits like 24 grit up to 120 grit. You can also get zirconium belts for the belt sander too. These last 5 times longer than conventional disks. I never use anything else. I sanded a full tree one time. I think the client was a bit nuts to have a tree in her garden sanded but I got a good view of the neighborhood and it looked amazing when it was done. Varnished the damn thing too! I used 20 24 grit disks. Try doing that sh*t with those flapdisks...I don't think so.
Cam, you mentioned you had a lot European subscribers, and they wanted you to involve the metric equivalent in measurements, tool sizes, etc. Well I can't (more like won't, because it's a headache). I am from Seattle, but grew up spending summers with family an hour north of London by train in rural Hertfordshire & Cambridgeshire. I can tell you this gentleman is spot on about the zirc disks. Oh and £1 is equivalent to $1.25 at the moment. That conversion is easy. I do wish we "Colonials" adapted the metric system as it is far superior in every way to our system of measurement. Not just lengths and tool sizing, but volume and mass. Along with everything else in every day life. The UK does have one mystery of measurement. Somehow I weigh approximately 14.5 "Stone". Or 202lbs, or 92Kg. 🤷 If I was a horse, I suppose I would be 18 hands tall.
Insomnia isn't something I suffer from. Your work is so captivating, I can't stop watching and learning. Btw, I would've called the epoxy table the "GLACIER" table.
Insomnia, this anthology was great. And I live in Chicago and my favorite color is blue. If you’re looking for a place to send your bent epoxy project. I’m delighted by your humor and even more so by your skill set. Keep doing what you do, Cam. I slept great by the way, I made your video my background noise to get work done. And it worked. Im still awake. 🏆
Insomnia Cam - I was truly inspired by your video. I’m a small DYI’er and could never build those items, but your tips will be handy as I build my much smaller much simpler items. Thanks for posting this video and sharing your tips. Thanks also for the listing of local shops that I will share with my woodworking club as we all need large one time tools! Blessings!
THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO, Shawn! CONGRATS, my young friend. vid.#32. Consider casting more than one at a time and inserting green-sand plugs, (for pilot holes). you still have to cut it off, but when you do, drill the sand plug out as a pilot hole. The options are almost endless. I'm an old craftsman, retired, just advising you to cast more than one at a time. Set-up is half the work. Just use a ground down teaspoon (short handle) to drag canals between arrowheads.) I have been a sub of yours for a lot of years, and I have seen you demonstrate massive amounts of a great variety of SURVIVAL ab CAMPING things. Now, you're getting industrial and it hits a happy nerve. Again,THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO, Shawn!
I can unequivocally say that I have always picked up some new or old way of doing a project from your videos. Especially working with resin. Also, I like how you deal with some simple project that turns into a problem. THINK ABOUT IT.
😂😂😂
Yeah just think about it.

insomnia i’m a truck driver(in the sleeper😂) just getting ready to wet my feet in woodworking i’ve played around with epoxy. This was a very informative video with a lot of cool ideas. that shot of you covered in dust pretty fking funny. anyway needless to say, I subscribed i’ll probably be binge watching your channel for the next couple of days I actually found your channel through another one where the guy called you some no-name UA-camr 😂
Sorry,
Electric sheet metal tools would have made your life easier.
Hey Cam, I don’t have insomnia, just really into woodworking
I’m going to watch this later to go to sleep to tonight, you have a soothing voice lol, and woodworking just comforts me, my dad passed away 2 years ago and he was a carpenter and we used to make stuff together. Thank you for all your videos Cam
Thanks so much Joey
i do this with every video its just perfect
@@blacktailstudiouncut3 REPLIES
Lol. Me too
Exact what I did😂
Cam, I love the longer content.
Cam, Insomnia is not a problem for me. Love what you do. Absolutely glued to this channel . Thanks for a brilliant video. Well done!
Insomnia was how I found your channel. Now, I find myself running your videos in the middle of a stressful day as a way to decompress. I find the videos entertaining and your finished pieces beautiful. Keep it up.
Yes I totally agree with this. They are so relaxing
Cam, I have self diagnosed insomnia😉 and I'm taking a path through your videos, watching them yet again, listening to your voiceover.
As for the table--> she came out beautiful; wood and this 🦋 effect is 👌🏻
Greeting from Europe at almost 1 am. Still early for me. 🤦🏼♀️🤣😂🤣
Honestly, I would say take the ppl watching your videos to go to sleep as a compliment. It's de-stressing and satisfying to watch a project come together from raw materials.
I’ll take it 🙏
He still won’t touch your special area…
I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is the best woodworking channel on youtube!
I have to agree
What woodworking? He just takes slabs of wood and pours plastic on them lmao
Gotta love salty arm chair QBs 😂 tell us @@zwan1886about your millions from woodworking 🤣😂
Me, two.@@adgieem1
what an absolute idiot no push stick I'm done....🤬
I watch for wood working, I rewatch to fall asleep. The even cadence and soothing sound of his voice… like a lullaby
Your videos are like unintentional ASMR, and you do satisfying work too. Thanks.
Insomnia is a huge issue for me, but your voice and even tone helps me get to sleep sometimes, but that's just a bonus to seeing your awesome work. All it means is I rewatch your videos several times because I miss parts when I fall asleep to your soothing voice!
CAM, I did not fall asleep, so I’m seeing the doctor tomorrow. Really enjoyed it. Thank you for putting this together.
Same!😂
CAM.....Absolutely exciting....My Dad built restaurants all over the USA and Canada, from a small shop in Detroit.
I really liked the style of almost re- voice overing parts of the video, helps the flow and hearing the prices while seeing the final piece was cool.
Oh, I’d love to get into lathe work eventually
Thanks Cam.
Cam I love the long videos I watch them while I do the dishes and crochet !
Long may his talents be handed down
You really have some gorgeous pieces there. I can see that you put a lot of pride in your work.... Kudos
Ed Vela, from Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
just what i needed for background while I work! Thank you for this Cam.
I got you
I passed out watching TV, woke up to this playing , love love love your pieces, just outstanding work and I love the way u edit and film it and talk about it as well.
Cam, my man!! Yes, I agree too with plenty of people out there.
I definitely watch your videos to fall asleep at night, like a relaxing video to wind down the work day :)
The work you have done actually motivated me to build my own bed, which took me about 3 weeks to finalise!
😊 Thank you
Insomnia.😂
I love your videos.
Thank you Cam for your amazing channel.
love your videos 👍🏻
Bob and family, very touching gift of your Mom's yarn, you'll never
know the lives that you will touch!
Our world is better because of yr creations
Kind regards.
LOL
i didnt get cams joke until i realize he told the guy to “get bent”
@@pizzabandit7710ME LMAO
Trev.
It’s the tone in your voice, it’s so soothing.
Cam
I really enjoy your projects, sense of humor, and your voice, which would make you a great reader for audio books.
Cam! I absolutely put this video on to fall asleep. Now it’s 2:33 am, but I’m feeling inspired to get my shop together and get woodworking.
Thanks Cam.
Cam, Love your work man! Let the haters hate. People love to hate successful people. I'll be up all night with insomnia watching your work.
Cam, stayed for the whole video. Love the finishing product. Really brings out the wood grain!!
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I AM IMPRESSED BY THIS BEAUTIFUL PC OF WOOD!!! WOW!!!
Cam I really like long videos, I crochet while watching. I also really like watching what you come up with. Gorgeous makes
Cam, I love your long content. I watch UA-cam as I drive for many hours every day. Love your tips, tricks, skills and mistakes. I learn a lot.
Look forward to seeing more of the incredible work you do!
CAM I 'm not a woodworker but enjoyed every minute of it. Keep on doing new stuff.
Lol
I started watching your videos a little over a year ago and have really enjoyed your work and your sense of humor.
My first response when people criticize my work is, "that's interesting, please send me the link to your video of how it should be done. I would love to learn from you." I think you know how that goes. Lol
Thanks for all your hard work and honesty... there is much that people can learn from you.
Happy New Year!
Insomnia,Great video, watched it over 4 days just before bed. That table you made for your wife really stood out for me
Cam, your video is awesome!
I appreciate that you included your mistakes, but more importantly how you handled and corrected them 👍
And I have to say you are a great wood worker don't listen to who ever is saying your not , love your work
Insomnia doesn't mean bored...
Thanks bud!
Your signature is where the real value comes from. So please continue to sign going forward ...Awesome work!!
I have actually enjoyed you getting artsy. No apology needed. Great work as always. I really enjoy watching your work.
Just use a ground down teaspoon (short handle) to drag canals between arrowheads.)
I have been a sub of yours for a lot of years, and I have seen you demonstrate massive amounts of a great variety of SURVIVAL ab CAMPING things. Now, you're getting industrial and it hits a happy nerve.
Again,THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO, Shawn!
Who is Shawn? This guy’s name is Cam Anderson. No ‘Shawn’ here. 🤷🏻♂️
Cam, I can't stop watching. Your work is amazing. I love how you communicate all the tips and talk us through the whole process of a project.
