Thank you, nice job 👍
I started my career 30 years ago refinishing cars in germany, I have a professional degree for this, but 20 jears ago I changed into industrial application for coating plants and I do no longer paint cars, but seeing this remembers the good old times, it relights this fire again!
💖💖💖Dankeschön 💖💖💖🙏
YOUR PAINT SHOP BRINGS BACK A LOT OF MEMORYS I PUT ABOUT 1/2 PINT OF MIXING CLEAR IN THE LAST COAT REDUCE AND HARDNER MIX IT IN WITH PAINT WE CALLED IT A SPLIT COAT MAKES IT LOOK LIKE CLEAR COAT OLD SCHOOL REAL OLD SCHOOL
Integrated clear
Enjoyed this video very much! Wish you had a bunch more like it. Would also enjoy hearing you describe the project and how you work. Make lots more videos please!
Awesome paint job, it adds certain elegance, to the Mercedes Benz Ponton.
Thats the best way to preserve that body poly single stage way to go!
That finish is beautiful. Getting ready to spray my 68 Javelin with single stage ivory (factory) color. You've given me inspiration. Thanks!
Great skill & technique.
So dope ! I love that car/ body style
thanks for finally hitting that right headlight bezel on the first coat lol, great video, the best ive seen cheers!
Incredible gloss! Great job!
Nice job man
You put the BOOTS to it, nice job!
Beautiful!!
I am looking into getting started in painting, and am just wanting to mention this because I know a few people personally with neurological disorders due to chemical exposure, but I read that isocyanates come out of every urethane product and can cause a lot of damage. I think they recommend always wearing a full suit because they are absorbed through the skin as well, and also wearing a respirator during mixing because you are exposed during mixing. Also I guess the only activated charcoal masks are approved to filter isos, are these are only good for 8 hours and then must be replaced with new filters. Not trying to be an internet expert or anything because I am not at all, and I didn't even know anything about isos until a couple days ago. Hope everyone stays safe!
Thank you so much for this comment! So true I’m beginning to notice the physical and mental damage after 8 years of spraying! Praying for the day this business starts caring about the technician more than the vehicle! Guess it’s just the price we pay 💀 $200 per labor hour sounds fair
Beautiful
Nice job ,
Came out great. I can only hope I shoot my wagoneer half as well. Great job.
I do paint and body work as well. Awesome job brother.
Good job sir i really love it
awesome
3 YEARS AGO??!!!!!!!!!😭
Good stuff my friend!! I subbed.
We used General Motors factory pack black UA is the code, I believe.
UA is a Ford paint code bud
What’s the purpose of a sealer? I have seen ppl spray single stage without sealer?
Brawo süper
Good
Have you had any issues with color match or it just my guy ? After a few matches being off and having to drive back, I have taken engine lids, or glove box doors etc to match, he's great with that, but the first batches, NONE matched. Ain't nobody got time for that !
Is that the hvlp air cap or the he10? I believe the tekna pro is the same as the devilbiss gti pro? Is that right? Nice to see a single stage job. i'm restoring an old Mercedes and want to use a single stage. Not familiar with the different manufacturers. Is Nason a good one to go for? Thanks good video.
Nice paint job
But you need to keep your paint shop a bit more clean
Looks dope what gun do you use brother? Cheers from Los Angeles
Roger Yanez Tekna Prolite 1.5 thanks buddy!!!
Why did you halve the roof from the center ? Shouldn’t you start in one side and keep the wet edge all the way over . Lol
That paint dispenser thingy on the can was neat. What are they called? Where can I get one?
Nice! Really impressed by the shine you got for black single stage. What did you use to cut and polish?
On all of my solid colors I prefer urethane single stage. Cut and buffed it looks amazing.
Matthew harrelson right, what products do you use to cut and polish?
I use a wool pad with 3m compound cant remember the numbers my supplier pushed me into a different compound and I actually like it better than the mcguire's that I was using.
how much paint did u use in total for this job ?
Martin Parker 1 gallon
Why shoot it single stage and not base clear ? Nice job
Single Stage has the clear already in it and Acrylic Urethane single stage will outlast any base coat/clear coat paint job any day. If it ever fades just cut and buff it or you can even lightly color sand it back to a beautiful shine. More durable than base coat/clear coat and just easier to spray and work with overall.
@chillo for single stage do 50% overlap, 2-3 medium coats and I would allow 15-20 minutes in between coats. I waited 15 minutes between coats. I also used acrylic Urethane so if you are using acrylic Enamel then I would do 3 medium-heavy coats. Acrylic Urethane holds up the best, but you want enough coats on the car or truck to be able to color sand out any orange peel or imperfections without cutting through the paint. Once you color sand it then go to a buffer with a good cutting compound and then polish. It will look amazing!
@chillo male sure to wear long sleeves, pants, gloves and a respirator.
Lush !
Can someone explain the 8:1:2 ratio to me? Great job im about to paint my car with a 8:1:2 single stage.
8 parts paint, 1 part hardener , 2 parts reducer. You need the paint measuring cups, makes it super easy. Heres a link to a guy who explains it ua-cam.com/video/iN63V5NDLMs/v-deo.html
I bought a $100 acrylic enamel single stage kit (i know its cheap but im on a budget) and theres no gloss on the metal parts of the car the plastic bumpers and mirrors are glossy.any reason for this?thanks
Its a metallic paint
@@austinbradley3411 my dad and i used the $100 single stage metallic paint on his old el camino. It turned out really nice. I recommend spraying a clear coat on top of it to give it a little more shine. We didnt do that on his car but i will be painting my 67 volvo in the future and thats what i plan on doing. As far as the gloss finish . Im not exactly sure why they would be different. Its probably preference.
@@evansautomotive307 single stage doesn't require or need clear as it already has clear in the paint. Properly sprayed and cut/buffed it will look amazing without clearing it because if you do spray a coat of clear over it then it is no longer single stage paint. Get it???
Loud background music
Whuch maaco is this
Where are u located? Was that a gloss black or semi?
It’s obviously gloss black....
What size tip did you use to spray the base sealer
yourthinkingfeet 1.4
What's the color and paint code for this?

@@jusb1066 ^ what he said

Wise Guy 12:09
cool cars . paint ... blek fak sorri :((( sifilitico realismo.
What A mess all over
I need job in your company
Very good video until the very end! No totally finished pictures. 1 more day would have done ...ugh! No lights no bumper no grill. Could have done without the first three minutes, and put three minutes on the end with the finished vehicle. Just still shots not necessarily a video. I appreciate the skill you had in doing the work ...wow you did a fantastic job! BUT ...I think you get the idea.
Hate this channel has gone cold
Messy, dirty and unorganized shop. This is who you dont want doing your painting. It will come out looking like that shop.
