Dude actually knows how to clear snow. Watched 10 reviews of this, all "creators" using the machine for the firsf time in their life. Thanks for the real show
Thank man, I do my best, and it’s just knowing how to tackle each driveway and also playing with the wind as well. It is my first year doing snow removal so guess I’m a quick learner lol
Just bought this same machine about a week ago. I like it! Good job
It's a great machine, glad to hear you're enjoying it!
Great videos! I do the same in Toronto 20 clients seasonal
Thanks man, and keep up the hustle, that’s awesome!
Great videos! What ramp do you use to get it in and out of your truck?
MaxxHaul Aluminum Cargo Carrier with 60" Folding Ramp
Model No. 70275
Armstrong 😅
Are people reliable in paying? Those who do this commercially do you bill weekly or monthly?
I do monthly contracts since we get consistent snow, so I bill at the beginning of each month with their flat rate and if they don’t pay, I don’t push for them
Does that snowblower have a throttle on the engine or not?
No, just the one speed
Is that Edmonton?
Yes it is
Hello from Saskatchewan! I'm in the process of starting a snow removal business myself but I'm struggling with pricing, I was wondering if you could provide me with some insight on how you do your pricing for property sizes?
I’m in Saskatchewan as well, I have a couple of neighbours who pay for snow removal. $300/$350 month regardless of how much or little it snows.
Yes it depends if you want to go for a per push price or a monthly price, hard to say exactly what to charge since there’s so many factors that come into play for pricing. You have your expenses, insurance, business fees etc… property size, where the snow needs to go, how efficient you are, quality of work. With this all in mind you have to see how long it takes you for a typical driveway then from there you’ll know how long it’ll take for that amount of square footage. Then from there you’ll have a rough idea on how many properties you’ll be able to take on cause you can’t take on more customers than what you can do in a day. Also gotta take into consideration how dense your customers are form each other which you’ll be able to determine how many you can take on. Once you have all that figured out, you’ll need to see how much you want to make a for the month then divide that for how many properties you’ll have then that’ll give you the average on how much you should charge, depending on side and condition.
I appreciate both the responses! Both were very insightful! Just binded my general liability insurance the other day and waiting on my business license to be approved so I can start servicing clients.. hopefully get some snow in the mean time to trial run the new ariens pro 21 snow thrower so I can get a better idea on times
Call companies in your area, research for how many snow events you have in your area and how long does it takes to do at differents lvls 1, 2 ,10 " etc. Then you can figure out prices after getting some exp.
@@gerardowalterrivas9028 Appreciated! I structured my monthly packages based on our average snowfalls. Unfortunately this year is proving to be below average so monthly packages and general driveway clean ups haven't been in hot demand. But fortunately iv been keeping consistently busy with the one time services for properties that haven't been cleared at all this winter so I'm getting a good idea of operating times for deep accumulation, charging out at $70/hr minimum 1hr charge currently while I get a realistic idea of operating cost, admittedly I feel like I should bounce it up to to $100 range
What's your thoughts on the 821 QZE ? I'm in Ontario and looking to buy new, used ones are still priced high and I'd rather not buy someone else's problems. I'd much rather a single stage over 2 stage especially for hauling around and truthfully as you know it take a about 1/3 of the time to plow compared to a 2 stage.
Yeah if you’re looking for a new blower and the prices for used ones are that high, it would be better off to just go new and not have any worries about how it was used. You also get warranty when you buy new, especially if you go through a dealer. I like the blower a lot, it does efficiently move snow, rarely clogs, only when the snow is really wet and heavy. The single stage will make contact with the pavement producing a clean result, but with the two stage they typically have metal augers which don’t engage with the ground leaving about 1/8” of snow
What’re you going to to do when you get a massive storm . Dropping a foot plus rather quickly ?
Since I do monthly payments and not per push, In my contract it states that I’ll show up within 24 hours of snowfall and every day after until the snow is removed no matter how much snow there is, it’s gotta go
I had a snow removal business back in the 90’s and all I had was a ccr2000 toro. Without exception my clients would see me lift it out of my truck and they would laugh at the sight of this small snowblower. I would tell them to go back inside and watch if they wanted. I live in southern Ontario and we can get over a foot of heavy wet snow and it never let me down. It would throw 8” of wet snow 25-30’ all day long and leave the driveway clear. Best snow blower on the market.
Agreed
Please tell me you’re related to Jordan
No I’m not lol
Man you could pass off for his doppelgänger then…. lol
😂 no salt?!😂
No need lol
