Hey Ryan, the reason the glow plugs don't stay on very long is on new common rail diesels they have such high injection pressure and superior spray on the injectors that they light off a lot easier than the old lower pressure injectors. Hi to Bugs and Jade! Great to see them both. I think Jade was initially kinda nervous that she wasn't driving with her dad but as usual, the more you talk to her (dogs in general) the less nervous they are. Our dog can be a real Nervous Nelly now that he's getting up in age, but if I sit and talk to him (it's just him and I these days since my daughter's grown up and moved out and on with her life and career) he settles down. Ryan. Great video! The glowplugs on a duramax use the exterior temperature to dictate how long they should be running. They also cycle after when the ignition is running dependant on combustion temp etc. Your truck also has a DEF tank heater that works based on the same concept. Hope that helps. The noise you're hearing is not normal, in 4x4, I would take a video of it for the dealer. I have owned many duramaxes since they came out.
whining noise is NOT a normal occurrence when 4wd Auto is on. This goes back to GMT800 with the introduction of the AutoTrac Transfer cases and Auto 4wd. Are you using Auto 4wd or manually switching to 4-lo or 4-hi? Its possible the axle has straight cut gears within, but unlikely. Also possible whine from going "too fast" in 4-lo

Ryan, the glow plugs on the new truck stay on a lot longer than that light. Watch your voltage gauge to tell when they turn off before starting on cold days. It’ll make the glow plugs last longer.

Hey Ryan! Im taking a diesel diagnosis class currently. For the glow plugs being on so short is because of the newer trucks they have different ways of heating up the cylinder. If it's from adding less il under the piston to changing the timing of the injectors or even throwing exhaust gases back into the cylinder. Older diesel have a pump line nozzle designs which cant adjust injector timing just injector pressure. The newer ones have a common rail which can do that. It also has to do with the fact that they're more complex and can heat up quicker and depending on the temperature either stay on longer or shorter. Hope this helps a little bit.
I always tell my sidewalk guys if the lot are clean dump snow somewhere else not on lot where it was just plowed …if lots not plowed sure push snow there …great video
We have a very similar truck at work with the same boss plow. The plow is always a pain to line up. We have a slide out step on the side for when you need to get into the bed to move salt. Make sure you grease the bed pins really really good because they rust really fast
I work in the ND oilfields and i cant remember a single time we had problems starting our heavy equipment in the severe cold... especially our bobcat. People will leave it outside in -25* and it'll fire right up. Obviously It isn't good for engine and hydraulics but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Yes sir! Glowplugs on modern diesels only needs a few seconds. Alot of people in modern common rail diesels dont even realise the glow light comes on it goes out that quick
For anybody confused about why the young guy at the window wanted Ryan to move to a parking spot when there was nobody behind him. These fast food restaurants have a time frame they aim to have cars moved on by, usually 20 seconds or so. So if they know you’re order will take more than 20 seconds to prepare you’re moved so it looks like they’ve hit their target to any bosses or so watching footage of the store of giving you your food within 20 seconds - even though they actually haven’t. My old partner used to work in McDonald’s and told me this
Hello from the UK. It's good to see your machines and attachments are safe being left at the big open parking lot. Sadly over here it would all be pinched by someone to sell on. Sad way of life. Keep up the good work. Love watching your videos. Entertaining but educational
Ryan lives in a somewhat small town where everybody knows each other so that's why. To put things into perspective, the most populous city in Wisconsin is Milwaukee which has about the same number of residents as Glasgow. The entire state of Wisconsin has over 3 million less people living in it than the city of London.
I live in the Rockies. If you have a light powder snowfall, use a leaf blower to move it off your trucks. It’s quick work. Even my battery powered blower will move it. I saw my neighbor doing it two years ago and thought he was nuts. Then I tried it.
Anybody know what happened to Darrell and Darrell. I've been dying to know why they didn't go to world of concrete, but to my knowledge, Ryan hasn't said anything about it
Too long of a car ride for JR. And JR refuses to get on a plane. I don't think there is any bad reasons as to why they didn't go, they just didn't go. Bugs doesn't go either.
Ryan was saying something happened and it seems like Darrell doesn't work with him anymore so that's why I'm curious. I don't think it would be jr's health. Jr went last year
I'm sure Daryll is around. Ryan has been a little slow posting these last 2 weeks with word of concrete. He's got his truck finished, mural finished and hasn't really posted anything worth having Daryll in it.
He posted a post in Facebook saying someone who he trusted all these years and did so much for that person back stabbed him with no remorse while he was gone. 🤷🏽♂️and that he isn’t getting the authority’s involved at the moment. My guess is that it’s Darryl

i own a 2022 chevy 3500 and my glow plugs only stayed on for 10 seconds in 5 degrees while in Wyoming for a few days and started right up no issues! seems normal for the glow plugs to stay on that short to me!

We already had over 6 foot of snow. Best snow year since I moved here
That's crazy. This was only 8 inches and our biggest of the season. I don't know what's going on.
@@VictoryOutdoorServices have to love Alaska winters

Hello from the UK. It's good to see your machines and attachments are safe being left at the big open parking lot. Sadly over here it would all be pinched by someone to sell on. Sad way of life. Keep up the good work. Love watching your videos. Entertaining but educational
Ryan lives in a somewhat small town where everybody knows each other so that's why. To put things into perspective, the most populous city in Wisconsin is Milwaukee which has about the same number of residents as Glasgow. The entire state of Wisconsin has over 3 million less people living in it than the city of London.
Daniels mustache looked like sam Elliott's should edit in his voice over be funny
Love all your videos keep them coming
Nice content Ryan. Glad your wife is safe and sound. She looked extremely stressed driving home.
Hello from northern Wyoming, we just got over a foot of snow here. Keep the plowing videos coming
Ryan it’s been a minute, but I appreciate the vid , Jade was being good company but was worried about something but she’s ok GOD BLESS RYAN AND CREW!
cant believe how good that skid steer works, it moves a ton of snow, it actually looks fun and relaxing
We gotta convince Bugs and Jade to have their own channel. Good to see them again.
Very nice wish we got some snow up here we are dry lol Hello Bugs looking good brother
@Victoryoutdoorservices2 Would u like for me to email you Ryan?
Jade doesn't give a flip about snow removal, she wants to pour some concrete. :)
We have the same year Chevy, but a 3500, it does not make that noise at all. We’re 30 min down the road from you too in franksville, so conditions are not different by any means. I’d get it check out personally
Did Darrel get fired?
He gets fired at least ones every other month
He won't ever get fired. Ryan seems to like his uselessness for some reason
i own a 2022 chevy 3500 and my glow plugs only stayed on for 10 seconds in 5 degrees while in Wyoming for a few days and started right up no issues! seems normal for the glow plugs to stay on that short to me!
Bugs is a master of getting the job done on time and ready to work! Darrell's take notice.
Man and it's soo hard to find these days too. Everybody else seems to be on plumber time
You have a brand new truck Ryan, but on my old 89 gmc when the rpm's would rev past 2000, the speakers would emit this noise similar to what I am hearing from your truck. Of course, the speakers in my 89 were original to the truck and the radio didn't work so it was easy to pin point where the sound was coming from. Never got that one explained to me
