    Oh my goodness Pippa just said what I went through. 15 years of migraines that I managed with meds. After going through the TMS info along with your info Dr. Yo I now realize that my brain was trying to tell me something for years. It was the dizziness that stopped me in my tracks. When the dizziness started I actually said when it first happened nearly 10 years ago that it was like I hit a wall. My life basically stopped. And it's taken this long to find the answer. I guess on a positive note it has turned me into a good researcher. I fired my neurologist all those years ago when he told me I might just have to learn to live with it and started down this long road. I'm so glad to have found you.

      It has definitely been our experience that people often have a long history of other symptoms that just never stopped them before the dizziness came about!

    Hi to both of you! I miss talking to both of you! I'm still on my road to recovery but thank you for opening my eyes to what may be happening to me. I just couldn't imagine that the issues I had could be mind body based, like pppd. I look forward to speaking again sometime soon with hopefully no symptoms. Thank you!

    Definitely love this series so far. Would love to have a topic on people who have a large "relapse". I spent about 3 months in 2022 discovering NSD and doing the work you teach. I got to about 90% better and stayed there for about a year. Then bam...back to square one and worse than the first time around. So any more further in depth analysis for those that have a dip in their journey and tips for getting out of the valley again. I know I can get thru, I did it once. But there is definitely doubt and fear and a little defeat over having done all the work before for me to have another massive episode. Thanks!

      Hi- I went through a solid year or more of PPPD, VM and then a few years of intermittent issues. I was almost 100% better for about 2 years until this past August when I had a serious "relapse." I finally made the connections to TMS, Neural Circuit etc and after about 9 bad weeks, I started getting much better again. I've been almost completely better again now for a month or more. I have full faith that I will continue to get better and you will too. The biggest thing for me is accepting the mind/body connection. By the way, during this fall and Christmas season, I have been dealing with extreme stress with my extended family but still I am getting better!

      I had the same thing happen to me! Around April of 2022 I finally recovered and my symptoms were extremely mild. I fully understood NCD and I was basically living life but I definitely took it for granted cuz in May of 2023 I had a HUGE setback that hasn't faded since. Just know that we've recovered once so it's not impossible to get back to that space!

    I love this format, thank you both. CAN you help people who know what to do to but who can't do it because they're too afraid of "it’s medical". For me it all started 7 years ago so no one was still talking about pppd at the time so my medical tests are old. I always have this fear that it is my atlas (c1) of my neck or my inner ear because I often hear the circulation / wind in my left ear when changing position. the problem is that in France there is no real atlas specialist, but I have seen a lot of osteopaths. I do all your exercices but there is a voice inside of me who tell me « it’s your cervical , its your inner ear »

      I’m kind of in the same boat, keep going back to it’s something medical. PCS from 10 years ago, upper cervical, or inner ear. I’m trying to commit to neural circuit dizziness, but on days where my neck is in pain the dizziness/off balance feeling is worse.

    Brilliant podcast thank you! I definitely find dizziness is my bodies ‘go to ‘ when I’m tired/anxious etc. So interesting to hear the side of things where emotions/experiences aren’t necessarily the catalyst. Thanks both! Nice to see someone mind body UK side too!

    struggling with what pippa said about the flight. for me it seems impossible to predict whether there will be turbulences or a person panicking next to me. I had days where I felt awful, pushed and afterwards had a good corrective experience and days where it was the opposite. I felt great wanted to do stuff and it turned out bad. every time I withdraw from a situation bc I cannot stand it it feels like a big step backwards crushing my confidence.

    Ok, I just got to the part of the video that sums up me at the moment, after doing DMRS for many years and getting better in many ways with it, my dizzyness never went away and now this new technique of looking at it, and facing is after about a month or two actually making it seem worse?VBecause like you said my other coping skill with DNRS was always, always never focus on symptoms, and now I feel like it's so strong because I am looking at it now? I have had great times on some days and know I am improving but I am almost worse week? Is this like you said it will take time to build up new strategies.I will never stop I know that I will love myself back to life! xxoo Ava

    Can this work to stop 'attacks' of migraine with vertigo? Its stopped my daily dizziness but i still get attacks of vertigo lasting 5-6hrs and then lots of mini spins in between. Is this just for pppd and chronic dizziness?

    My dizziness started 2 months ago after a week of intense panic attacks back to back. It’s been almost 24/7 and it’s mostly a rocking/swaying/bobbing along w some regular dizziness, but never spinning vertigo. I’ve been to every doctor and had VNG testing to rule out any vestibular issues. It just seems so crazy to think that even though I don’t feel anxious anymore (besides the dizziness fueling it) it’s stuck around. I feel kinda hopeless and I hear about this recovery but I feel like that will never be me. I just don’t know how to shake it. When I open my eyes in the morning it’s the first thing I think of. It gets better when I’m in the car but it feels 10x worse after the car ride and lasts for a little bit. I feel like I’m still moving it’s so weird. Im also curious is all post anxiety dizziness called PPPD or

    • @suzannemartin6817
      @suzannemartin6817 5 місяців тому +1

      I understand the thing about feeling a little better in the car and worse after. It’s a bummer cuz my grandchildren are close enough to visit 3 hours) but I have had the break every 45-60 minutes for 15-20 minutes. It makes the drive so much harder and longer.
      There are different labels they like to put on dizziness but the diagnosis does not really make any difference. So try not to make that an issue. And to have gotten through so much testing and evaluation in just two months is miraculous! That’s already got you way ahead in your journey!!
      And yes it is really hard to see the other side when the dizziness feels like it’s taunting you. Try to pay attention to where your mind is going. When it starts to spiral maybe remind yourself, outloud, that you are really onto something with this mind/body stuff and let yourself have hope that you can get better.
      One book you might check out ( it’s an audio book too, read by the author👍) that might encourage you. It’s not about chronic dizziness per se but rather pain. It’s called “The Way Out” by Alan Gordon. Sometimes I go back and listen to certain parts even just to hear his calm and reassuring tone as he talks about healing these chronic symptoms that our brain creates. You can find it on Amazon. ❤

      I’m so curious how you are now 2 months later. It started for me after panic attacks as well during my pregnancy. Now almost 8 months further, still here. Improvements are there because I was laying in my bed the whole day the first weeks or months and now working and doing things. But I just don’t feel good and comfortable. I want to feel normal again. It’s so hard.
