MASSIVE thank you to our new subscribers, welcome we're incredibly happy to have you with us :)
We are moving to our bellway Weston new build, which is a 3 bed detached house in the uk, this video is the journey of us moving over the course of a few days. From collecting the keys to painting to building new furniture to a very interesting/awkward outing to Ikea. Which was very fun. We had a great week moving. A bit stressful but we filmed the little things for you. Our moving day where we moved all the boxes was towards the end of the week, but had LOADS to do before hand. We got the keys at the end of Jan and filmed this the first few weeks of Feb. Took a while for us to set up to start uploading this and editing took ages.
We do hope you enjoy and found our move interesting. You will also get a sneak peak into things we've bought for the house whilst waiting for the full furnished house tour.
The week was a lot of fun but glad its over and we don't have to do it anytime soon.

The table is from next home called Amsterdam Light Mango Wood 6 Seater Dining Table. We just changed the colour of the legs after it arrived. The bed was from bed factory direct.co.uk it was an ottoman end opening divan base. Hope this helps 👍👍😁

Sorry for the late reply, was in the garden getting started on prep for a new patio. Oh congratulations that’s amazing round the corner now 😁😁 hope the move goes well 👍 you have good taste 😂 we were going to go for amtico flooring in the hall and kitchen but we ended up going for pebble oak instead, one price level down from amtico it was like £1k less. I shall put a close up of it in the next video. 👍 the next few videos will probably be the fitted wardrobes and the start of the garden.
We did go for amtico in the WC and en-suite though looks great 👍

Morning Rick hope you’re well. If you mean the final statement from the solicitors. We were told when you get this final statement you have to pay within 10 days of this. So we paid straight away 😆

That’s good glad to hear it. Yeah we’re really good thanks. We both got covid the a few weeks back so still feeling the effects 😩 well the plan is to convert the garage to a home office/gaming area and the wife wants a home gym so I guess the garage will be the man cave sort of 😂😂

The legs we sprayed with some metal paint from the range. Marston anthracite I think it’s called.

Aww thanks Z that’s very nice of you. The bed is from www.bedfactorydirect.co.uk. We found them to be a lot cheaper than other outlets. They have a showroom near us that we found randomly 😂😂

We we're told not to for at least a year but now I know that you haven't had any problems I'm going to start ASAP. We did think it was weird when they told us to wait, but our site manager said but it’s your house you can do what you want so day 1 paint was on 😂😂
Let me start with Congratulations again for your new home. Great Video!! Really nice wallpaper, where did you get it from? Also, did Bellway prevent you from putting wallpaper or painting the wall straight away because I read somewhere that for new builds home, the walls are wet we have to wait for a year or so to put any wallpaper or paint it again? Is it so? (I am sorry if its a silly question, pretty new to this!)

Not a silly question at all some have had the same question. We were told the same by our site manager to wait approximately 12 months, but he then said once you move in it’s your house do what you want. 🤔 We haven’t had any problems at all yet. But we were thinking well Bellway painted to make it white so why would us painting be any different and so far so good. 😁👍 Probably worth mentioning we didn’t do any research just went straight ahead 😂😂

Oooh good question. Let’s see if I can remember 🤔 with ours we got a bottle of Prosecco some truffle chocolates from hotel chocolate, key rings, 2 white paint tubs and floor cleaner for the amtico flooring. I think that’s it. Hope this helps

Did you guys have to extend your mortgage and did you have any problems doing so? we’re currently between exchange and completion waiting for our house to be built, but now worrying about mortgage expiring lol!
Hey Liam thank you for taking the time to comment, our mortgage was valid until November and we moved January so I did the same and started to worry towards end of October. Rang our mortgage advisor to enquire. Honestly it was super easy we were reassured they were handling it. We then got a letter and a phone call a week or so later that our lender was extending the mortgage for a further 6 months. It worked out well because it was also on a cheaper interest rate 👍😜 just pop a call through to your advisor. I’m sure you’ll be fine. Our advisor said it’s usually expected with new build purchases due to potential delays 👍 hope this helps anyway

Where did you get your bed frame from?
Thanks for watching Louise 👍 it was a company called bedfactorydirect.co.uk found it randomly and it was cheaper than the majority of places we went to for the storage and size of the floor standing headboard. We did have some issues with the delivery driver not taking his shoes off (even after requesting upon purchase) and getting mud on our new carpet but other than that it was good and the bed looks great 👍
Is there felt on the bottom on the table? If not could scratch the floor.
Hey Kristine hope you’re well. No felt no but it has like a rubber footing of sorts. If we’ve needed to move it we’ve only ever lifted it anyway 😂
I know this sounds stupid but my home demo is tomorrow and I took a visit to the house today and noticed its still fenced off, garden, brick wall, and path still isn't completely built and finished... and looked through kitchen window and still is a mess and boxes everywhere. Does everything have to be 100% completed at the home demo?
Evening Peter. Not a bad question at all. Ours wasn’t completed at all at the demo day. Our demo was about 10 days before our house was “finished” and there was loads of things that wasn’t complete for example the flooring in the downstairs WC, the outlets in the kitchen and the kitchen counter wasn’t flush with the cabinets to name a few. But by the time we moved in it was mostly fixed and finished after a few snagging appointments.
On the demo we were able to point out a few things to the site manager who sorted it before we moved in. Hopefully if you notice things on your demo he/she can take a list of things to fix before moving in 👍👍👍

How's the new house ,not too many snags?
New house is great, we’ve done loads since moving but a lot still to come. I put a community post up about the upcoming videos. Snag wise will be one of those videos 😂😂 but actually not bad. No major issues just a lot of little things like doors needing adjusting, cabinets refitting. The biggest snag has been the towel rail in the family bathroom needs moving as it’s too close to the toilet. But so far so good 👍👍

Hey buddy, sadly not. Like I said the next video about the house and garden will likely be after Christmas now. We’ve ordered some more garden supplies today. But had some issues, I broke my wrist about a week ago and we’ve prioritised Christmas over garden at the mo 👍
