So far, I’ve watched just 6 minutes of your tutorial. And my initial thought is; you have a terrific system of teaching! I’m SO glad you didn’t single crochet all 79 stitches and then 12 rows of 79 ad some people would do!!! Beginners can stop the action and pick it ip again. (I learned the craft as a child, so I can pick up the “thread” a bit easier ;). Looking forward to working on this in the Fall! Thanks!
This one of the first jumpers i ever made when new to crochet and it was rather big 2 years on i have revsited this jumper, done medium, i have changed the pattern slightly with double crochets for rims and made it longer as i am in wheelchair now and added pockets so i can put bits and bats in, also now understand yarn, i must say its gorgeous and all my friends love it and the colour..i have enough yarn left to do a scarf and hat so am ready for winter.......
I LOVE this sweater! Thank you so much for the tutorial. You are an amazing teacher and designer! Mine turned out perfectly and now my mother in law wants one too! I’m going to make even more of these in other colors.
I made this using red heart flamenco variegated yarn (light and dark purple, salmon, and pink) and it turned out beautiful! Thank you for this pattern - I LOVE IT!!!
This is a great tutorial! I appreciate the way you teach! I’m working on this now and I did make a slight modification. Instead of making the band out of single crochet, I used the knit stitch to have a tighter look. Also, on the beginning and end of the rows of v stitches, I’m working one double crochet as I like a straight edge. So far it’s fantastic!
What a great step by step video!!! What always intrigues me about making crochet garments is the structural components (the stitches are just easy) and you have done a superb job in showing how to put them together. Most other videos spend 99% of the time on stitches and rush the last 1% on the structure. Well done!!
Gorgeous sweater, easy pattern! Wow!! This is the first garment I made for myself after 40 years of crocheting things for other people:) I used two yarns: organic white linen yarn with an Aqua color ombre mohair silk yarn which made it luscious and silky warm to wear on the boat:) I wore a tank top under it. Perfection. Thank you!!
This is the best pattern EVER! I have so many sweaters almost finished because I get one sleeve done and dread doing the other. Thank you for such an amazing pattern.
Loving this so far! Started working on it this morning and I'm halfway done. It's such a fantastic pattern, so easy to follow and mindless easy stitches. Thank you for sharing!
Did yours stretch as you were making it?? Mine seems way too big. Using the exact yarn and hook?? I know I am a loose crocheter but I find this yarn stretches way too much!
Thank you for a wonderful and concise tutorial. I look forward to making this sweater for my daughter and daughter-in-law for Christmas gifts. I look forward to seeing more of your tutorials.
@@mjsoffthehook please help. This is my first wearable project and I'm so very excited about completing this GORGEOUS sweater. If I manage to finish it (and don't make a complete mess of it) I plan to buy your pattern so I can make more sizes and probably start working my way through your patterns, they're very fun and trendy without being overwhelming (so thank you offering so many projects!) I just want to make sure the patterns aren't missing key parts that I need help with before I buy them for clarityI may not be getting. So far my basic concerns or parts that I'm struggling with: When you begin working the sleeve and neck bands ( which I assume is completed the same way the sleeve bands are) do you start single crocheting with the rightsides facing out or do you turn the sweater inside out? Do you have any more detail on the seaming process? You don't specify any spacing but in the video it appears that you're not threading each stich individually but rather only looping the thread at the tops and bottoms of the 'v's (the base of the rows I guess) to leave the space open for the 'v's. I understand this probably isn't clear but I'm very new to this and am not familiar with good vernacular for what I'm trying to say :( Also, with the seaming you said you stopped ~6in from the bottom - is that 6 in from the longer piece or shorter side? Does that mean for the shorter side that you seam together all the way until you reach the single crocheted band? Thanks again for your help and for this free tutorial and for all your cute patterns!
Your sweater is absolutly beautiful..I had to give it a try..I actually had enough skeins to make it..I'm a full figured girl but it worked out..I ran out when it was time to seam it up and make the cuffs and neck. I made the sweater with a brown.. Beige & cream variegated yarn and I matched a solid coIor.. which was no problem..it works..
Sweetheart, don't forget that depending on whether you are a tight/loose crotcherer you need to change your crochet "needle"; sorry, I think it has another name. 😁
Amiga por favor me puedes explicar como hago la parte de atras? Sigo derecho el trabajo y la otra parte despues del cuello me queda para abajo el dibujo mil gracias
This sweater looks beautiful ! Thank you for showing us this pattern for free ! If you can please could you show us how to make it in bigger/ smaller sizes as i would like to make a matching one for me and my mum and i don't really understand written patterns because i am just 13 Thank you for posting this on UA-cam you helped me out a lot!✨💕👌
All you need to do to make your mother’s size is measure her bum or bust size and chain long enough to go around which ever measurement is largest with a count of 3+2 and do enough rows for the length of her body and just do what the teacher did for the rest. It’s and easy sweater and you don’t need a pattern.
I’m gonna do this with Caron latte cakes so it’s Uber soft for Christmas gifts ❤️ I love all your designs, they look so professionally done and beautiful !!! New sub 🥂
I completed this sweater, it feels amazing being able to wear something that I’ve made other than a hat scarf or shawl. Thank You!!!
, see z2
What weight of yarn did you use?
Melissa Grimes
I used a 4 weight yarn, it’s Red Heart Ombré’
