Done and dusted! I have made L/XL. Ordered 800gr of wool of a different brand. The gauge was the same though. I added on the length a few more rows. On the sleeve, I had to add 4 rows to fit my arms' length. I added the same no. of rows to the hood. I crochetted the pockets directly on the front sides as it looks much better. I crochetted the pockets first as per the instructions, and stitched them to the cardigan but it didn't look right.🤷🏻
Overall, very easy to follow the video. I finished it in 3 day. It looks amazing.🤗🤗🤗 Thank you so much.
Awesome, enjoy!!
How did you crochet the pockets on the cardigan
@@henriettamessiah2410 When I finished the cardigan, I marked the places where I wanted the pockets. I simply started the pockets crocheting the first row on the cardigan. Then, I continued as normal and when done I attached the sides to the cardigan. It's a shame I can't attach a picture here so you could see it. 😊
❤ I love the wool colours you use and love this style ❤
I just found your Etsy shop and I think it is absolutely amazing. Thank you for including videos in your patterns. At least the one that I looked at. I think that is amazing and your prices are also very affordable. Thank you I really appreciate it.!!!!😊
Hey...just to say I love this cardigan, looks fab, lovely pattern and tutorial. Thank you for sharing.
Adorable, I will most definitely be making this. ❤️
Thanks you! Beautiful !🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
How many balls of wool are needed for the adult cardigan with blue hood, size XXL?
6 balls needed for the 2XL long version: 4 for the short version
how many chains i need for the l and xl size please. @uRbcuzHeIS
@@rona-m11 I think all the sizes begin the same. I wanna say it was 44 sts, but you would need to verify that with the video or pattern. I know she says somewhere in the beginning of the video
SazzszzQ@@uRbcuzHeIS
@@rona-m11all of the information is in the blog post. Link in the description.
I made the child's version for my little granddaughter in her big brother's travel hockey team colors as well as a matching headband.
How to get instructions for kids sizes?
GREAT idea!!!
Beautiful 👌 pattern 😊
Amei❤vou tentar fazer!
Quelle beauté😍💓
I have made several of your patterns and love them. The last one was a cape/shawl with wavy ends. I would like to make it again (my neighbor wants one) but cannot find it in your videos. Would you repost it again? Thank you.
Very nice❤
Wow.Gorgeous
What about the sleeves? I didn't get how to do the sleeves. Did I miss something?
I'm a bit confused by the instructions for the hood.. Do I need to start a new chain and attach the hood seperately? Or, do you only start a new chain in the video because you're not actually adding the hood to the cropped one?
Hi I am confused what comes after row 7, on written pattern you have ( 9, 11, 13, 15, 17)
I don’t understand I don’t see directions for those numbers.
I have a question can I do this without the chain 1 between clusters? Love this especially with chunky yarn. Thanks so much for your hard work. Hope you’re having a wonderful evening!!!❤❤❤
This change will change the sizing so you may want to size up.
Thanks so much. Love it!!! Have a good morning!!!
Bonjour je voudrais bien voir cette laine pour faire le même pull où je dois la trouver merci de votre aide
Your work is beautiful. Can I put your videos on my Tik Tok account?❤❤❤😮😮
me encanta. me suscribo😉🙂🙂🙂
GRACIAS!!!!!!
Bonjour,je n'ai pas compris les augmentations de l,encolure?vous augmentez sur combien de rangs?....merci
Anyone have a little bit of advice for moi? I can't make up my mind.... I have a large chest & normally buy a 2x top, sometimes a 3x if I want it baggy. My fullest measurement is 47". For the L/XL the finished bust is 48". The 2X is 54.5". There is a 6.5" difference between the 2 sizes. I do like to snuggle in my hoodies & cardi's but I'm worried that the 2X may be too big. Maybe someone out there has already made this :)))
I believe that the yarn has made the decision for me. I am using Red Heart Hygee yarn. It has some stretch to it, so lets hope that the L/XL will cover me.
My advice would be when you reach the amount of rows for L/XL yoke, try on the yoke and see how it fits, and if you think it is too small you can continue up to the next size. Or if you complete the L/XL size and think you need some more coverage you could work another row or 2 of the collar to make it a bit bigger.
@@mjsoffthehookI'm currently on row 9 of the body. I tried it on & it 'just' closes. Keep in mind the collar isn't on yet. I did try just the yoke on & it seemed to be ok. I'm just going to make the collar bigger like you mentioned if it's a little snug for my liking. I rarely button my cardis so this will be fine. Thanks MJ for another wonderful pattern! xxx (quick & easy too :))))
@@mjsoffthehookAlso, when trying on the yoke, it only goes to the armpit. A large bust is obviously below that area so some guessing is involved.

I just found her Etsy shop. Her patterns are so reasonably priced. I am very excited. 😅
Do you have a video of it using a 4 weight yarn? I want to make it but I wanted it not in a chunky yarn. I love this pattern!!
Yes! ua-cam.com/video/G66P9zyKXyg/v-deo.htmlsi=_6_ZyRsl6sVsLDCE
COMO SE REALIZAN LAS MANGAS??????😊
Sameeeeeeee I bought the written pattern as well and I need the video for the sleeves! 😢😢😢😢
How many skeins I need ? If I buy the same one you use to make a medium size longer version
A like at the very beginning! Every single masterclass you make is so amazing and practical!
Love the colors and the bulky yarn ❤️❤️❤️ Another beautiful granny stitch project in the back of my mind 😊
Thank you sooo much! First clothing article I have ever made!!
I love your videos but please bear in mind that some of us in other parts of the world, don't have yards on our yarn labels. We use metres, and note we don't have access to the brand you use, it will be nice to just say ' any bulky yarn'.

Sorry if this is a silly question… but I’m fairly new to crocheting. I’m following you all the way to the point where you need to “skip the sleeve” and join the two V-stitches together then continue with the pattern… if you have the garment laying flat on the table with the long end (the “back” portion of the garment) at the top and the shoulders at the bottom, I’m assuming you join the two v-stitches on the same side of the garment… I.e. right upper and lower v-stitches, to make a sleeve hole, however, I can’t figure out how to continue the pattern from that point on without running into an end, which is a cluster of 4 DC… and if I go to the end, chain 1 and turn my work and continue on with the pattern, my rows will be off… can someone help me please?!?! This seems like such an easy concept but it has me stuck. Thanks in advance!
I have this yarn waiting for the perfect sweater!!! Here it is!!!
I made the long version with no hood! Love ❤️ it!
Same here ! I had already almost finished doing another pattern with the wool but it turned out far to stiff to wear although looked great…it’s coming down, I tell you…I love the look of this cardigan and couldn’t believe it was my wool….so excited to start !
Здравствуйте😊.. Хотелось бы на русском языке))) очень нравятся ваши изделия! ❤
I love how easy this pattern is. I did it in an end of mill verigated brown, orange, green and blush pink. I thought it woud fit my 36yo neice but the size wouldn't go around my 26yo daughter, so made it for my friends daughter. Weather is getting warmer, so should be good for mid season, and next year.
My only issue was having to rewind a few times in some places, as I was confused where to place some stitches, but worked it out. Thank you for such a great tutorial.
Hi MJ, I've done quite a few of your tutorials now, and wow!! so easy to follow along love love love them. What about doing a waistcoat tutorial apparenly all the rage at the moment, I have tried but unsucessful.. What's your thoughts? thanks K. p.s I changed this patter up slightly, was going to send photo, but unsure how to.. thanks again
Love your patterns. Just wondering if this pattern can be made without the hood? Thank you
If I wanted to do this in a 3 weight yarn what sizes hooks would I use.
Also wondering the same 😊
Here is the version of the pattern done in 3 weight ua-cam.com/video/G66P9zyKXyg/v-deo.htmlsi=rFeFU22N1HB6npiz
I'm sitting here, in the quiet, on Mother's Day Friday, crocheting the short version in Sweet Stuff. I'm loving this yarn. It feels good in my hands, working with it. The colorway is what drew me to this project. Love it! So far, the pattern is really easy and clear. Its working up really fast. Now THIS is the way I like to celebrate Mothers Day ... hooking! 🤣😂😅
Oh ... and thanks for the pattern discount for Mom's Day ... sweet surprise!
Love it
Me encanto!!🥰😍 Hermoso cardigan, gracias por compartir!! Saludo desde Argentina
I love this yarn! I've been wanting to try it because I love the colorways. I haven't because I live in South Texas. Now I'm thinking I may try it anyway. You made this sweater look so easy! 🥰
For the collar did you go to a bigger hook size? Mine isn’t looking like your at all 😞
Esse cardigã é lindo. Estou encantada! 😍😍😍
I didn’t get how to increase for L saze! Someone could help me please?

How many chains do I need for the back panel please I’m a 3x
Que linda esta me encanta en celeste
I really like this cardigan. Thank you for this beautiful pattern ❤
Hola esta bello, cuantos gramos usaste?
Bellissimo come tutti i tuoi lavori, come posso calcolare per la taglia/misura per una bambina ??? Grazie mille
Could I double up on a worsted weight and get a similar/equal outcome?? Trying to break my stash, but making them for my kiddos, so much less yarn used 😅.
You could do a swatch and see but double worsted weight would probably be thicker than this
can you make it longer
As long as you want. Just keep working rows for the body section.
thank you
your work is so beautiful
I made one for myself, really fast and gorgeous 😊
Can i use milk cotton for this?
I´m working in my chunky granny stitch cardigan and I´m really enjoying it!!! THANK YOUUUUUU!!! 💓Regards from Madrid!!!!
Wonderful!
So beautiful Cardigan ❤ lovely
Wow! This is beautiful. I am going to hunt for yarn now. I am worried though about the pilling. Does anyone have experience with how this Mary Maxim acrylic wears and washes?
Acrylic pills, no matter what ANY manufacture claims. So do LOTS of other types yarn fibers. That's why I don't machine wash ANYTHING I make by hand. I just soak in wool wash and dry flat. Machine washing just isn't worth it to me, considering the hours of labor I put into making an item. Hand made articles are special and should be treated special in my opinion. Plus, most articles of clothing, especially outer wear doesn't need frequent washing. I prefer spot treating, when needed, and just 'freshening' once in awhile.
It's very nice
Do I skip the arms?????
To make a larger size will I just add four chains? What number do I make the increases at the corners?
The pattern is on my blog ❤
Subtítulos en español por favor para poder seguirte🙏🙏😁😁

Beautiful design. Could you make it without the hood and just continue the birder,
