Thanks mate, this helped a lot. My ICC wasn't working, so followed your instructions and found that the plug in the back was loose in its clip, so clipped it back onto place and installed the ICC again... All working again.

Thanks mate, helped me fix my icc unit at home, you're right about that top bit it snapped straight away but I guess that's the nature of the beast on a 15 year old car

Good video, but worth mentioning to keep the ICC unit upright after removing it.

No don't worry! That's an old rumour that went around years ago. They turn up for repair in boxes all day long upside down, sideways and they still work fine when re-installed.

Ok so a major step missed here is the long white plug in the back of the I.C.C. which you can not get your hand on because the wires attached to it are short. Even after getting your fingers on it you can not wiggle it loose. I have had the 4 plugs in the bottom out but can not get the long plug at the back out so I am stuck.
Also the way Not to break the top panel is to pry it out gently from the top right. this will release the yellow plug holding it in place. Mine was broken when I bought the car but I ordered a new one from China.

if you pull the volume knob off
behind the clear plastic ring is two little globes for back lights at night.
I don’t suppose you have any idea how to change those….?
can it be done from the front?

Hi Guys.. thanks for your helpful video.. after installing the BCM I could start the vehicle etc. I notice that the Speedo doesn't work and few if the lights are on solid on the dash like oil, fuel and a couple of others. Is this expected? Cheers

Hi Mark. This video is related to removal of the ICC for repair by Supertech. We repair the ICC units, as we repair factory car audio. We don't do anything with the BCM.

Does anything plug into the white plug above the black one?

  • @DavidMason98

Should the white plug at the back connecting to the unit be loose or solid. mine moves in when touched and believe this is causing a faulty connection

The plug is quite loose on the vehcle side. Once the unit is installed it locks into the ICC. Intermittent power and communication with the vehcle is a common issue. Hey guys I need some help, I've been dealing with a CD player malfunction in a 6 stacker premium ICC, I've fully removed the ICC, taken out the player and everything (it's cactus) but my problem is that when I reinstalled the ICC (without the CD player) none of my guages worked, the ICC didn't display anything and the aircon didn't work, BCM is all plugged in and fine, I removed the BCM from the ICC and just put the BCM back but still same issue, does the CD player somehow make the circuit incomplete??

You forgot to mention that there is a sequence to unplugging and plugging in the connectors.

    • @SupertechElectronics

It does not matter what way you unplug the plugs. There is one method of removing plugs (I think right to left down the bottom) where you will hear some clicking of relays before the last plug is removed. This won't do any damage to the vehicle, so we had no reason to include it in the video. If you want to be really safe, just disconnect the battery.

Where’s the clock wire connected to?

    • @vincekara9446
      @vincekara9446 2 роки тому

It's connected to the ICC and loops up to the top to two connectors to the ICC clock. This is a specific wiring loom that is only comes with that ICC (Fairmont/Ghia/BF XR dual climate) It can be interchangeable but to get the wiring loom itself is hard to get. Btw the car is a BF XR6 6 speed and not a BA however the principle is the same.
