I can’t find the video where you actually use it on the lake. Just curious if the skis wanna tow inward! Also with it being so loose. I was wondering the longevity of it?
Bro, that’s my Small. You keep a lot of small fish throw them back so they get big second of all you should try and let the Steel light go because the population in Lake Erie Lake, Michigan, Michigan in your honour very low at the moment you should be letting them go.
Angling Anarchy we just got a 16ft crestliner and I’m wanting to slowly rig it up and want the removable downrigger board cause I’ll only use it 2 to 3 times a year maybe
Jordan Castaneda Thank you very much! Setups for trolling don't have to be anything fancy. Most of the rods I have are 9ft Gander Mountain trolling rods Daiwa 47 LC reels.
Really cool way to change it up when the water gets too hot for musky fishing. Going to Hayward the past couple of summers I have been tempted to run up to Superior to give this a shot but I do not have the set ups necessary to do this.
Matt Vavroch Fishing Its definitely a nice little deviation from the norm. If you ever want to try it you could just run some Dipsey's and have a pretty good shot at fish. If you ever need help with equipment questions, shoot me a message!
If you're going to do a lot of great lakes fishing I suggest you install a marine band radio with an 8 foot antenna on your boat for safety. You can get NOAA weather channels and call the Coast Guard, or other boats, for help.
The Lonesome Fisherman That is solid advice for anyone that wants to try it. I have a radio installed, just didn't have the whip antennae up. I also have a handheld that I carry in the boat!
J J I certainly wouldn't feel very comfortable in anything less than that. I'm certain people have gone out in less, but you never know what surprise mother nature may have in store for you on the big water 😊
I like hearing the clicker, it’s why I fish
Nills2Gills I agree! It's music to my ears!

@jaydestun I wish I could understand what you're trying to say, but the lack of punctuation and proper grammar in your comment is astounding.
Nice video, what are you running for a leader on that ten lead core line and how much backing? Thanks and tight lines.
Owen4it I'm running an 8ft 30lb test Trilene XL leader and 300yds of 30lb power pro as backing. The leadcore line itself is 27 lb.
That anode is about ready to fall off.
Have to try that sometime, great video Brian.
Mitchell Genz It's a blast being out on the big water! Thanks for watching man!
I went out on the big pond twice last summer, first time in probably 40 years...it was good to get out there. Good stuff !
Curt Adams It's a good time out there! Thanks for watching bud!
Can you do a little video on boat rigging, I’d like to see how you did the downrigger board to the back cleats
Cody Robinson Yes! I have been meaning to do that, just haven't gotten around to it 😁

Took the trip for the first time this past July , amazing fishery, kings may be the hardest fighting freshwater fish in the world
James Koehler It's an amazing fishery out there! Just didn't pan out for us this day. Thanks for watching!

@@AnglingAnarchy that’s awesome and thank you, really appreciate that!
You should have recorded the ride in
That cloud looked intense, hopefully you made it back with no issues.
Reel Angling It was a bit of a bumpy, wet ride. We made it back alright, laughing maniacally at our stupidity all the way 😂🤪
That's no SQUALL!!!!
Johnny Parterlee 😂🤣

@@AnglingAnarchy Good to know. Just trying to be helpful.
The Lonesome Fisherman I appreciate it!
Nice video. Can you give some info about your boat? Im also looking into getting a boat that i can take on Lake Michigan
J J Thank you! My boat is a 2004 Crestliner Fishhahwk 1750 with a 115 Suzuki. Let me know any other questions you might have.
17' V bottom should be the minimum right?
