That double battle with nemesis in the laboratory... fucking amazing, this is one of my favorite races ever
There is no Lab in this game, it is called a "Dead Factory"
I love whenever Big Jon is commentating. His enthusiasm is infectious and he has a wonderful sense of humour.
This race was incredible. From the double magnum, the near frame perfect sync at 34:22, to the insane knife only lab fight... just wow. Thanks so much to both runners for such an entertaining race

Having watched Bawk for years, it's incredible to see this for the first time, 6 years later. It's like the RNG for both of them was divinely determined by what would be most entertaining to an audience. "First, give them double magnums. Then, make each random enemy spawn along the path ensure they run on an even keel, to the point of near frame-perfect sync nearly half an hour in. Lastly, the Equaliser: Acid Fight At The Dead Factory. Something they've never seen, yet they shall face it side by side. Only one will remain." - RNGsus. 🤞✝🤞
This race was so good! I can't believe they were only frames apart halfway through the run.

Awesome race! Congrats to Bawk! He is one of the best runners to watch at gdq. I can't believe how close it was. I definitely hope to see both of these guys back for more.

After watching this, I’m starting to think maybe RNG for this game may be based on the time of day on the console. It’s the only thing that could explain both runners experiencing things that “‘never happen” - just a thought.
Interesting Theory Friend, but a few of the said never happens were totally different. IE one getting an insane delay on acid while another got a super early one at totally different times. Besides at this point I think data mining would have pulled out information based on the console clock as that's normally stuff people find first.
A year late, but....
Consoles, they don't really have internal clocks, so it's just a pseudo-Random Number Generator as a seed to figure out at the start of the game how certain things would act.
On PC, it's completely possible that it's pulling time for that PRNG at the start, but it's also possible they're just using the same PRNG method instead.
Without looking more at the code, wouldn't be able to tell. Haven;t seen any disassembled code myself.

They missed an audio cue because carcinogen kept talking but it's whatever man
The acid valve started spraying too soon
Acis valves had a short 5 sec release rather than the normal 8 sec release. This usually never happens on first release of the valve, let alone on 2 out of the 3 valves, and made it impossible to curle Nemesis into them by audio
