This achievement never gets the recognition it deserves.
Not only did QPR win the cup they Al o won the 3rd division for thier 1st promotion since 1948.
Wimbledon always get lorded up for the biggest upset but they were a 1st division team at the time.
PS this was also the 1st ever league cup final at Wembley and WBA eon the FA Cup the following season.
I was there with my Dad I cried at half time. Dad told not to worry.
It was great to be part of that 100,000 crowd cheering on my team. Fitting that Lazarus was the final one to bring QPR back from the dead. I can still reminisce interminably about the football and players of those days, national and international, preferably with like minded company and a few pints of beer.
Yes. The greatest comeback since Lazarus, as per the account of John, ch 11. 😂😂
Great to get a glimpse of my uncle Keith Sanderson playing!
It was ridiculous that a player as good as Rodney March was playing in the 3rd Division.
I was there with my late father - one of the proudest days of my life
Great days. Nobody can take them away from us.
I remember it well .. my first ever live game my dad took me I was ten years old and have followed QPR ever since
Rod Marsh one of the greatest of his generation! !!!!
Yet only a handful of England caps - like Bowles, Hudson, Curry, Osgood, Worthington. No wonder the side was so poor in the 70s.
@@johnt7630 Yeah, staid unimaginative management, yet so much talent to field. With Terry Venables later on, the players' choice and a brilliant tactician, England could have taken the world cup again, but the pompous idiots who ran English soccer forced him out over some silly financial issue...
@@georgeszaszvari3108 Don't blame the managers - those players couldn't or wouldn't adapt their game to international football and they had enough chances. Just because you have skill does not make you a good player you have to know how to use it in a team context.
@@georgeszaszvari3108 Venables was vastly overrated - only one good match as England coach, against Netherlands. Outplayed by Spain in the quarter finals and Spain had a perfectly good goal ruled out. England in the 70s were actually pretty good and only lost to top teams.
QPR fans carried a WBA coffin from loftus road to wembley i have the dvd of it the extras are worth its weight in gold i recommend getting the dvd rangers till i die RODNEY RODNEY RODNEY
HappY 50TH Anniversary QPR..... Goddess God Bless We FeW We HappY FeW.....
Stan Bowles’ passing and today’s final brought me here. Never seen this game before. 5 goal thriller , marvellous. I’m sure the match officials in 2024 would have found a way to chalk off the winner after “taking out” the keeper. 50-50 for me, good old school challenge. 😃
Fantastic haha
I'm a Fulham fan. QPR were brilliant that day!
This is about to be watched down under in Sydney as part of a TV crew's homework! Special shout out to Steve Potter...Come on you R's!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏RANGERS!
Nowadays we cant even get past the first round!
*ON THIS DAY*
#OnThisDay in 1967, Queens Park Rangers FC came from behind to beat West Bromwich Albion 3-2 in the League Cup Final.

Rod Marsh, legend
proud to be a Rangers fan...!!!!!!
Which one qpr or Glasgow.
And the winning goal was scored by a man named Lazarus😎😎😎😎😎😍😍😍😍
Well QPR did come back from being dead 😉
I was at this match and it was my first Wembley visit I was not much older than eleven and couldn't get a ticket for the facup final the following year when Albion returned to win the fa cup .went to Wembley again in 1970 and saw us lose again to man city .my third trip to Wembley wasn't until 1993 when the baggies beat port vale 3-0 to win the play off final . Don't know how long I will wait to see another Albion cup final appearance .,..the clock is ticking COYB
What a comeback, great football on a pudding basin.
Steer clear of Shepherds Bush tonight...I wish I was old enough to have been there.
john kenny Well said buddy. Do you know what I love about this? Lazarus brought us back from the dead.
❤
We r the pride of west London the blue and the white
The 'Kosher Garrincha' grabbing the winner.
Oh my i was 7 years old 😉 🤍💙
Was Jeff Astle marked out of the game?

Perhaps the the reason Rodney Marsh was playing in the 3rd division was that they could afford to pay the best players 1st division wages and Rodney could look great every week playing against average opponents.
What are you on about ?. First division opposition that day; Cup specialists too. Class written all over that goal from beginning to end. Beckenbauer rarely matched this quality.
they kicked shit out of rick sheppard in wba goal and the albion players got the manager hegan the sack after this we think they deliberate ly stopped playing second half ; although r marsh was good must admit;graywba
you are talking bollocks!
Queens Park Rangers only major trophy ever
Foul on keeper for 3rd goal.
I agree but every team deserves and gets a rub of the green. Mind you if that was a foul how would you describe Schumacher west German goalie Muay Thai Kung fu kick on frances Bosis in 1982 World Cup finals.
Certainly a foul in 2024. Back then you got away with a lot. See the legendary Leeds v Chelsea 1970 fa cup replay.
🔥🔥
*just watch and enjoy*
