- I tried the 7 day jump rope challenge doing 1000 jumps a day! In this video I take you along the journey of myself, an overweight 26-year-old women, attempting different fitness challenges and looking at my diet in order to reach my weight loss goal. I had a fair few struggles, mishaps and many complaints along the way but I kept going and stayed positive. I pushed myself to not only aid my weight loss goal but show that I can do things I set my mind to. It was hard but I got it done and hopefully it can motivate you to give it a go as well. I take you along for the entire fitness challenge, the ups and downs and sprinkle in a bit of my advice and knowledge throughout. I share my realistic weight loss results, before and after pictures and progress I have made. Trust me if I can do it, so can you.

"I can only do 50 at a time and my pants keep falling down." HAHA! Best opening line. ps. you're awesome. Good luck in your journey.
thank you so much ! You're awesome too! im full of one liners haha
Lol ..
I'm on day 2 of week for doing 1000 skips a day. Using a set of weighted jump ropes I do 50 for my warmup and then do an extra 200 at the end, so about 1250 a day. It only take about 30 mins and I've seen a HUGE difference in my body. To anybody starting this challenge stick with it, it does get easier!!!! You got this 💪🏽💜
Oh wow! That's amazing, good job! I need to give a weighted jump rope a go for sure :)
THANK YOU
Great job! I see more tone also on your upper body- upper back, shoulders.
And the landscape is amazing! Lucky you to live there!
Thank you so much! Yes the landscape here is truely amazing. I am very lucky to live here :)
Great video!!!
Now I feel like doing the same challenge!💪 Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you for watching! Definately give it a go and let me know how you do :)
Great video!
Very motivational!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so.mucbfor watching! Glad it could motivate you :)
Looking forward to your next video! Very inspiring and interesting approach 🎉
Thank you so much. Working on my next video currently. Will be up soon :)
The tone up is noticeable when viewing the right side and from the back. Excellent Job!!
Thanks so much :)
I'm going to do the same challenge. Thank you for this inspiration!!!!
Thanks for watching :) definately give it a go!
Thank you for the motivation..turning 7 days into 30..and using this for my warm up before running. Thank you so much I never would have done this had you not posted !!
Aww thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed. That's an awesome idea although not sure I could run after jump rope !!
I want to do 30 days too!
i see a huge difference in the before and after !! amazing job :)
Thank you so much :) it always nice seeing some results even if it's only over a week
Can't wait for your next video!
Thank you. I'm trying to finish my newest one today. I'm very new to editing videos so it takes me a long time hopefully have more regular videos this year 🙂 thanks so much for watching
I LOVED this video. Thank you for sharing.> You are just adorable!!!
Naww thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed it 🙂
It’s actually quite a remarkable change especially for 7 days. You can really notice it in the back as well as your standing posture. I think if you would have measured your waist, hips, thighs etc you would have seen some change in those numbers. Weight is a tricky scale to base success on. Pound for pound, muscle is much more dense, taking up less space than fat. So the number on the scale may not change as much as your measurements! Great job!
Thanks for the feedback. I would love to do measurements as another form of data to follow but I always forget to buy a measuring tape haha!
Great job! I’m gonna try this thank you for sharing💖💖😁
Thank you! Keep me updated with how you go!
The background reminds me of Periguex! You should get a jump rope mat to absorb the shock and prevent shin splints,
Good job, that is definitely a workout!👍
Yes it truely was! Keep adding it into my current work outs and still enjoying it 😊
Keep going hun. I just started my jump rope challenge this year. This is my first week. Even though I haven’t seen any results yet. It’s still the first week. My wind control is good since I started. I love it so much . I cannot wait until my 3 months is over.
You got this! Amazing work! Hopefully your going well this week

Great job. Well done!
Thank you! Cheers!
Omg I was watching this and I think ima try this and I can see ur results good job u really deserve more subs
Thank you so much. I appreciate the positive feedback :) glad you liked the video. Let me know how you go if you try it!
I had the same problem with pants falling down in trampoline classes. Lose but thin pants and sports shorts were the solution. Good luck!!
Thank you! Definately need to get myself some sports shorts :)
i'm doing jumprope too for my weightloss, since i'm so comfortable with jump rope. let's keep doing it, let's loss more weight again.
Amazing! How are you going with it??
Slimmer and have lost almost 5 kgs now, but still, a long way to go to get back to my ideal weight, so I've decided to do this jump rope for around one month ahead.
5kg loss is amazing though! Good job! Be proud of your achievements so far :)
Amazing! Keep going 💪🏻💯
Thank you 🙌
What a gorgeous view you had from inside jumping. Now that is motivating.
Thank you. It is absolutely stunning here. I'm very lucky to live in Queenstown :)
Yes - I was just going to ask where you live! Is that Queenstown Australia or New Zealand?
Nicely done ➰ keep up the hard work you look amazing girl! 💪
Thank you so much! Your'e too lovely!
@@BodeHelloThere you're very welcome lovely! 💪🔥
I have the same issue with jumping rope and leggings falling down because I’m losing inches off my waist. I got a cheap stretchy belt and folded the top over it. They stay put until I lose all the weight and then I’ll buy the right size again. Keep jumping. Thanks for the video
Ohhh good idea with the belt!! I'll keep that one in mind. I also think sport shorts may be better... except in winter haha
So enjoyable video i love itt
You are brave and beautiful, posting your weight on line. Well done!
Thanks so much :)
You got good results. I can see the difference between the before and after. Keep up the good work. 😘
Thank you! Trying to stay consistent and keep up everything. :)
One can make a springy floor with a 1.5 m x 2 m plywood with a side piece at the top and bottom of 30 mm x 1.5 m. Works very well! I would be so interested to know the effect on running!
That's an awesome idea. Thanks for letting me know :)
I have done the hoola hoop for years. But I started out with a challenge. But it is such a good core workout. You should try a hula hoop challenge! So much fun!
Oh really? That sounds like heaps of fun!! I definitely will need to give it a go, I have such a weak core too so I would helpme with that!
@@BodeHelloThere I love it! It’s kind of my secret weapon, lol. I turn on UA-cam videos or music and stand in front of my TV and do the hula hoop One Direction for3 to 5 minutes and then I stop and force myself to go in the opposite direction which feels unnatural but it’s much better now after years of practice and tighten your stomach muscles and concentrate there. It definitely is mind and body connection. be sure to wear clothes that are smooth to the body so there’s no extra material to get stuck around the Hulu hoop….. just like the jump rope, it gets easier with practice.!!! ….. I do this at least one time a day and if I can I do it two or three times! Especially in the summer months, lol it truly makes a huge difference on your waist line and your lower back……Have fun w/ it.(*** When you buy a hula hoop by the largest version and some of them have weights in them or beads. Do not buy the small tiny child one. Those are useless.
9:48 you mentionned at that moment that you kept tripping on the rope, and I heard music in the background! From my experience, if the beat of the music is out of rythm with the jumps, you trip! If you want to listen to music while you jump it’s better to count how many jump you make in one minute, then search for a playlist, for an example I jump 2 times per second, 120 times per minute, so I have a ”120 bpm” playlist to listen to when I jump
I don't understand how many people like yourself in all of these jump rope challenges are jumping on hard concrete and not hurting themselves... I had to take a week off and all I did was 15 minutes, I strained my abductor hallucis muscles. They were hard as a rock and very painful. On another note, congrats on your progress!
Omg the concrete is not a good idea and I do not recommend. Thank you for watching :)
You can hurt yourself with one bad movement.
I've started junping rope a month ago, for like 2-3 days every week and sometimes I jump on concrete sometimes on a softer ground and I don't feel difference. Maybe you guys should fix your technique or something like that?
I've been watching a lot of jump rope videos in the last month and I didnt saw any reccomendation to not train on concrete or normal floor.
I hopw you'll get better soon!
You're not bending when you jump coming down you have to bend a little so you won't hurt your legs or ankles
@@nattanhialee3833 The problem is not my knees or ankles (there was zero pain in those areas) it's the impact on my feet from jumping on a hard surface. I got a mat so I think I will be fine now :)
@@amberswilddiaries2831 It definitely seems like a good amount of folks don't have issues jumping on concrete, however I don't seem to be one of them. I got myself a mat to jump on, it should fix my foot pain :)
First I really enjoyed the video, great job!
I'm jumping rope for about a month and the pants fell only one time because I had little bit loose pants. Maybe you are wearing oversize pants?
Also, I don't feel difference between concrete and softer ground nor I saw reccomendations against it if you jump with proper technique, might be intresting to see if it is really worse
Thank you so much! im not sure with the pants. My pants are usually loose at my waist and tight around my thighs, as i think a lot of women struggle with sizing of pants. Thats good you dont feel a difference on concrete - maybe you are activating your core more so you ankles dont take all the weight like mine did haha!
i would suggest jumping on a cheap gym mtt would give your feet some cushion ?? you did a good job achieving your challnge and i would use this a a warm up before running def i feel it would help stretch my muscle groups well
Thanks for watching and the suggestion, I definately need to get some gym matting for home :)
Never thought to use a Disc Golf teepad as a jumprope platform.
Haha it was the only flat space along our walking route. Nice view though :)
lol, you definitely need tight leggings at waist for jumping, otherwise it's just annoying to jump. And mat to jump on😯! I've been jumping for 3 years now consistently, my jumping session is about 35 min long, but I jump in intervals, 120sec on, 10 sec etc. I fell in love with it, the start was tough, but with discipline and consistency you get better and better. Learning new styles is fun and seeing improvements motivates you to jump more! At beginning, it's also not smart to jump every day, listen to your body, take a day off. I don't particularly like this challenge because in 7 days jumping every day, you're just gonna end up in pain lol. It definitely takes more time to jump effectively and for your body to gets used to jumping.
That's amazing that you've done it consistently for such a long time. Yes improvements motivates me in anything I do - I'd love to see how good you are compared to me
8:13 the scenery behind doesn't look real. It's soo beautiful
Hi! Love the video. What camera do you use to record?
Hey there. I just use my iPhone to film. Nothing special at all. I think it's an iPhone 10xs
@@BodeHelloThere oh ok, thank you!
Might do this. I have a weighted jump rope that weighs 2 pounds.
ohh definitely give it a go! let me know how you do. Ive never tried a weighted jump rope!
Hope it’s long enough
Hope you had fun for real
I did have alot of fun. Thank you
13:20 Results
Jump on one foot at a time. You won’t get tired as quickly.
What was your middle school experience like?
Hey. I grew up in Australia so we don't have middle school. Just primary school and high school
I am gonna try the same
Let me know how you go :)
Good job Nice lady from UA-cam 🙂👍
Thank you 😁
Hun get muy thai shorts or boxing shorts they help from falling
Thank you! I definately will be getting some :)
Ok Bodé, What you wanna do is to get yourself a CrossRope jumping rope brand make sure you’ve the right height and then get
1/4 lbs 1/2 lbs and 1 lbs jump rope + OMAD (keto, diet or carnivore diet) + calisthenics = 😎
Thanks for advice 😃 will look into all of these
OMAD yes, great way to mess up your hormones if you're a woman
I am doing 3000/ and 1500 without any rest.
WOW! thats amazing! i dont think i ever didnt take a rest during this challenge
Please don't use concrete floor that will effect your knees, same problem I faced.
I do 3000 every single day, but tbh i dont lose so much weight, cos i keep eating junkfood etc, but at least its keep me alive:D
Wow! 3000 a day is wild! Do you have the world's strongest calves?
Yeah good is my biggest hurdle in my weight loss
Were you able to move the next day?
I was surprisingly! But very sore claves and legs
Tone is visible
Thanks so much :)
Hello maam, wonderful video,

Richard James New Delhi
Thank you so much :)
Hello ma'am how is your jump rope workout going on..
Regards
Richard James New Delhi
How do you count 1000 jumps
In my head. Just count 1 to 100 then do that 10 times is what I found the easiest
@@BodeHelloThere lame
Really?
Most kids outdoor playgrounds have spongy "floor". Anyone can jump around on it, your taxes are already paying for that stuff. Go use it.
That's actually an amazing idea that I never thought of. Thanks I will give it a go for sure!!
Oh man. I did this and it took me over an hour ha 😅
You know what though, you DID it! So be super proud of yourself :)
I started having chest pain and sob watching this.
Haha! Yeah I often get short of breath thinking about these challenges!
I struggle to do 20 😂
Maybe your rope is too short 😂😂
Only 900 to go. Lol.
It's like gym at home once you got 70% through it the rest was easy
Two words: draw string (for your pants).
So simple! I don't know why I never thought of any of these options
