Took on this 8 week challenge after gaining weight this past October..
20 minutes a day for 8 weeks
My love for jumping rope has helped me lose 60 lbs this year .
Calorie deficit by using portion control.
Adding some strength training and getting my 10 k steps a day .
Follow me on my journey to losing 100 lbs .

A good thing to do is watch a exercise video with a person jump roping. It takes your mind off of your self and you kinda picture yourself as the person your watching. 😁👌

@@noorajaiat2684I have been doing skipping for years. It feels hard at first then it gets easier as your body adjust to the movement. When your legs feel sore stop just walk it out and start again, with time you will see how easy it gets and you will he able to jump rope longer. Good luck on your journey.

Omg I started crying because I finally found someone on UA-cam that looks like me. I’m currently 208 and I’ve been on this weight loss journey for 3 months now. Seeing someone who started out with a body that looks like mine and then losing it all makes me feel like I can do this

2020 and I'm on my 3rd week trying to finish out the month. I haven't weighed myself but i have found it WAY easier to go longer as the days have progressed. I started out doing 300 jumps and am up to 1100 jumps.
I've seen vids saying that roping would help u loose weight but I didn't believe it, u showed me that anything can work if u put commitment and effort and belief into yourself
You inspired me to jumprope and I've been jumping since last year , I also did keto too went from 195 to 138 my goal is 130 been doing it 13 months now and I feel great 😊 This mama is getting her body back 💪

@@mildnessmimie7071 idk if you need to eat more. Im not sure how many calories you eay and how many you should be getting in for you bmr. Try finding a bmr calculator on google it will help you figure out what calories you shoild be eating

What jump rope do u use? I'm at the park right now trying to do this but keep getting embarrassed cuz people keep looking at me..so I looked of videos for motivation and found ur video.
Don't pay attention to people one day they will be staring and amazed . I like to play music , just jump and have fun with it .
The rope I have is from Walmart it's the weighted one that they have in store. Really any rope is great to start out . When I first started I didn't even use a rope I faked jumped until I was able to buy one

Don't be embarrassed, If i see an adult in work out clothes and jumping rope, i automatically think they're exercising, nothing more, sometimes you have to just zone people out and not worry about what other people think, you aren't doing it to impress or satisfy anyone else but yourself, so zone them out, it's easier than it sounds, keep working out in the park, don't work out at home, push to overcome that feeling of embarrassment, it'll lead to more and more confidence..

I hate exercising in front of other people too. I have asthma so I often breathe loudly when I’m really making any progress and sometimes not even then. I’ll be literally walking and my muscles won’t be sore at all and my breathing will act up.

I just started this last week and I couldn't even do up to 10 without stopping. But I learnt some basic lessons how not to jump too high and it's pretty easy now. 2nd week into it i can do 300(100 each set). I hope to increase it soon as am getting comfortable and having fun with it. Hope to see changes soon🙏
Ok guys. Tomorrow I'll officially start this 8 week challenge. Will keep you guys updated everyday for one week and then on weekly basis. Wish me luck.
Edit: day 1. Did 1718 skips today. Current weight 64.90 kg.
Day2: did 3004 skips today.
Day 3:- did 3600 skips today!!
Day 4:- did 6000 skips today.
Day 5:- did 7000 skips today.
Day 6:- did 2500 skips today.
Day 7:- did 3200 skips today. Final weight after 1 week= 63.15kg
Week 2:- current weight:- 62.15 kg
I do minimum 3000 skips a day with some cardio exercise.
Week 3:- I was not very consistent but still I can now do 1000 skips in a row in 4 mins. I do 6000 skips a dat now.
Okay, I know it's not one week now but I did 10,000 skips today and I'm super excited. I hope I can keep this up!!😍😍😁😁

@@JustMe-tg1lu trust me, I was the same for the first 4 days but by the 5th day it was all back to normal. Don't give up and you will see the results. My periods started yesterday so I decided to take a break. I'll probably continue from next week.

You should try it out again start out slow . make a few changes in your eating. I dont know much about hypothyroidism but i have heard going gluten free has helped people cope and get healthy going that route. Do a little research and get on board with me with jumping rope. Im no pro at it but its helped me get active in a fun way .

Very motivating. One thing about jumping rope , I don't have to make myself eat cleaner. That jumping rope will make you eat lighter food. The lighter you eat the longer you will jump without being out of breath. Don't eat heavy the night before you start jumping rope. I assure you that you will regret it. Ijs. Congratulations! I'd been very fit and 142-146lbs my entire adult life but ballooned to 175lbs in just 3 months after taking medication (weight gain was a side effect). Been off the medication for a year now but the weight just wasn't coming back off despite a healthy diet. Bought skipping rope a week ago and skipped 6 days out of 7. I'm slowly building up how long I skip. This is great motivation to bump it up considerably. Once again: well done.

I started jumping this week but I'm so out of shape that I only started off at 5 minutes a day. I plan to increase it by 5 minutes each week until I can do 20 min a day. I'm 180 and my BMI is 29. I need to seriously get down to about 155-160.

I have been wanting to jump rope n hula hoop. I just started walking, drinking more water, cut out soda, logging what I eat so I’m more mindful instead of just stuffing my face out of habit or emotional eating. I still have my cheats like Taco Tuesdays but I don’t over eat. Just 1 fish taco for me. But I’m down 17 lbs. my short term goal is 199 so I can be under 200. Then I’ll set another. But for now I’m 9 lbs away. Exercise should be fun. I love being silly n dancing around the house as I clean. Nothing like a good Cumbia to get your blood flowing. As kids we jumped rope, hula hopped n played tag. It was fun n we were active n healthy. My long term goal is to get healthy be active and get off all of my blood pressure meds. You inspire me. I’m going out to get me a rope right now. Can’t wait. You are beautiful n amazing.

Each interval I'd get about 15 jumps, then mess up. Start again. Slowly increased to 25 to 30 jumps before messing up. Since I kept messing up, I reset timer for 5 more minutes. Today, I hope it will be better. Will try setting timer for 10 minutes again. What I experienced: My arms and legs got so, so tired. This morning I noticed my forearms and wrists were a little achy. I'm pushing forward. If you can do it, I have to try. I'm probably two to three times your age, but I'm still not letting that stop me. I love the concept. Thank you for the INSPIRATION!

60 year old dude here and just started my jump rope journey a month ago. Lost 13 pounds in one month. To be fair, I also did a one month vegan challenge and that has helped me just kill it!

I swear by apple cider vinger . i wash my hair in diluted acv at least once a month . also do a cocnut oil hair mask .

Your hair is beautiful, my hair was / is my baby too! It's like a comfort. My hair at its longest point was longer than yours and at one point I decided to chop it off and then ended up pretty much shaving my head! I've been growing my hair back for a couple years now and I absolutely love apple cider vinegar treatments! Rice water works really well! And just knowing your hair, your texture Etc not everything is for everybody! But I do swear by apple cider vinegar! Keeps my hair shiny, no dandruff Etc and since I've been using it in my opinion my hair is growing faster.
Okay...so my jump rope arrives sunday.

I’m only 13, sadly I don’t have a scale in my home but I’m sure I’ll be able to tell by the results on week 3 or 4! This’ll be the start of a new me! I’m at 169 so hopefully, I want to be able to lose 30 or 40 pounds. I want to be 108 or 128 before I go to a new school. I wanna be comfortable in my body to do cheerleading or swimming so that’s what I’m aiming for! Reach me luck!

My husband and I started to jump last week. He does well but I really am struggling and reading the comments showing that you struggled too gets me motivated to continue trying. How long did you jump for in the beginning before taking a rest? You should be so proud of yourself. You look like a pro!

Try downloading the app crossrope it has beginner jump rope workouts with a built in interval timer. Serious game changer . i just found it after doing my challenge. .whish i had it before .
When i first started i faked jump rope for only 3 minutes but with 30 seconds rest in between each minute . then i bought a rope and i went to 5 minute. And just kept building up . right now im doing 60 minute workouts and omg is it tough for me Right now
Keep going!! Try to don’t compare yourself to him because everyone is different & needs his own time but I believe in you & you are going to make it❣️❣️
