Dude! Thank you so much, your video help me out a lot, I also fish in Jersey lol I use the Carolina rig on my poles and was wondering how much leader line I should put on there when I’m casting it out far but you gave me the answer I was looking for
I feel like any swivel is fine just so long it ain't rusty. I live in HI and we almost exclusively fish in saltwater. Most people I know will keep on using the same swivel until it gets jammed then throw it out.
Alright. Got my attention. First thing I need is the link to that sweet lookin reel handle for the sl30sh. Next, I think you said you put a 60# leader on top. But I may have missed what was under it. What pound test did you spool it up with? Now, living here on the Gulf Coast, Galveston Tx. to be exact, we have a primarily due south wind all summer long. So i'm not ever really going to get that kind of distance in a cast with 6 ounces of weight and probably another 3 ounces of bait. We generally wade out to the 2nd sand bar, 200-300 feet off the beach front, and try to cast over the 3rd bar. Our water is much shallower than yours is too I would imagine. So we need all the help we can get as far as distance goes. But I love your setup's. Not much different than what we use. Just longer leaders because the sharks will cut us off with the shorter ones. Keep them videos comin brother. Love the channel.
Thanks for the comment and I use a 60# shock lead to 20lb suffix trititanium with a Alberto knot and you have to use Carmex to synch it. And I've seen guys on UA-cam in the South Texas area long distance cast with hollow core braid!! Which is crazy to me because I feel these avets and slosh reels perform better with mono and the jersey beaches are kinda deep but I've seen those Texas beaches by the gulf and they have crazy shallow areas. www.ebay.com/itm/Gomexus-Power-Handle-For-Abu-Garcia-Quantum-Accurist-Shimano-8x5mm-Shaft-95mm-/133020496863?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0

Wow that's getting the life out of a swivel I change them every other trip during striped bass season fishing from the surf.
How do you like your Grady White?
Love it so far it does ride better than most other boats due to the sharp bow
