Yeah, we have used mulberries to catch carp in Ohio. It's a fun hard fight. If you can find a ripe mulberry tree that hangs over the water you're set to catch a big fight.

Whether you're out there w/ a salt setup or throwing 4lb test at any pond, the explosion that occurs at the surface when the
bait is attacked is one of my favorite things. Talk about heart rates soaring ,,,,, seeing/hearing the fish strike = Priceless !
thanks for the video guys peace & be safe

Looks like those AJ's really give a good fight ! In 1980 I drove the Alaskan HWY with 2 buddies for a fishing trip. In northern British Columbia we hired a float plane to fly us into a lake that had no other access. The fishing was so good that we were actually getting bored. I took a spark plug out of the spare parts box and tied it onto my line and proceeded to catch a 36 inch Northern Pike !

Hahaha, i have been to a lake like that in Canada. Pretty fun but i didnt have any spark plugs.

Back in the mid 70s my brother-in-law had a buddy laugh at his enormous tackle box saying he had everything but the kitchen sink in it. Their next fishing trip his buddy handed him a lure size, whittled, kitchen sink with trebles attached and a loop to tie on. "Now you even have the kitchen sink!" 😂

My Grandpa had a brass kitchen sink lure made from a doll house set that I caught a 3.7# bass on.

Since you reel with your right hand, If you put your left hand on the grip above the reel seat you'll have much more advantage over the fish. Holding the reel seat while fighting the fish makes the fight much harder since you're bending your elbow 🙂
