Informative an brings back memories with my boys ! Thanks for sharing. Won't ever forget as a boy growing up fishing a party boat . Back then we were loading the boat with grey triggers an mingo. Respect.

Aloha. I remember giving my deckhands haif my jackpot, they earned it, my trip ended being free and I got huge salmon to eat. Win, win.

    Mr. Lawless,
You brought up tipping. Half of my life I have worked for tips. I have no idea how much to tip people on fishing boats. I don’t think I’m the only one who has this question. Maybe in a future video you could help us with this. Do you tip the captain too? Just the deck hands? Do they pool tips? Is tipping different on a party boat vs a traditional charter? This would be a good opportunity for a video. At least a short video.
    Have a good day sir

Most websites, charter businesses etc typically say along the lines of 20% trip cost, because most mates ONLY work for tips. Your "fee" goes to boat costs and captain afterwards. Atleast that's my experience from Tampa, South to Naples.
On single "private" charters, even when it's just been my gf and I, no mate and just the captain, I'll still tip a bit. Especially because most capts in this area just love being out on the water, many of my 4hr charters end up being closer to 6.

Also been here little over three years.. the boat changed the winter months for sure.. weather is generally rougher but you have it all to your self.. If you want to get out, just give a shout its hard to find hard core fishermen these days

Aloha. I remember when my girlfriend and I lived together, worked full time, and went to school full time. She paid 80$ for me to go out on a party boat out of Jacksonville. I caught a one pound porgy! Had much better luck on the west coast for salmon, halibut, rockfish, and dungeness. But yeah, you’re right, not a lot of money, wanna get on the ocean, can’t beat em. Sometimes, you might even get lucky!

Thanks for making this video. All I fish in Destin is party boats for the past 10 years and Christmas time is the best, fewer people only can't keep Reds. But love eating Mingos. I go with Destiny or Destin Princess, good times!

Some of my best fishing trips were done on party boats less than $100. August 2023 me, my dad and coworker went on the Treasure Island out of Panama City, FL and we all caught triggerfish, vermillion, red snapper and porgy.

Sean nice day of fishing { CATCHING } . I go every week in PCB on Party Boats and normally have same results. Good meat trips. I also live in SRB like you.

    Great video!
WAs anyone else using slow pitch jigs?
I thought most headboats frowned on using slow pitch jigging tackle?

In the winter the boats arent crowded so you have more room and less tangles.

Are you allowed to bring your own gear? I feel like it would be more fun on light tackle

What charter is this?? I'd love more charters. It's way cheaper than owning a boat and I don't have to clean it lol.
