    I'm so glad you're back! I absolutely love all of your recipes and even find that my "meat and potatoes" only eating boyfriend eats most of your meals if I tweak his portion a bit which is a HUGE win for me! I'm so intrigue about the six week clean eating program, I am going to seriously consider it! Thank you!

      I‘m back and next video is filmed already as well and will be up next Monday. I‘m so happy to read you and your boyfriend are enjoying my recipes. It warms my heart! In my 6-week plan I have a big batch of pulled pork to be used in different recipes. One of them a shepard‘s pie which would fit the “meat and potatoes” category but obviously with veggies in it, too 🤫

      @@Greenhealthycooking Love it! It's exactly what I need. I have shoulder surgery coming up and I think a lot of the recipes will work for the freezer also, I am so excited! I might even get him to follow a couple of the recipes when he's having to cook for me! You lay everything out absolutely perfectly- seriously, I love the grocery list and use of all the ingredients, that's HUGE! I'm buying the plan today!

      @Greenhealthycooking  Рік тому +1

      @@beingbarb6380 Oh gosh, I hope you recover quickly after the surgery. I recommend starting the plan 10 days before the surgery because in the first 10 days there is a lot of prep for the remaining 4 weeks after that. If you do the first 10 days your boyfriend can take over from there for you.

    Good timing. I’m going to sign up for the 6 week challenge this Friday! I don’t own an instant pot - I’m pretty capable in the kitchen but don’t have a lot of gadgets. Will that be a problem?

    • @Greenhealthycooking
      @Greenhealthycooking  Рік тому

      I’m so happy for you and I can’t wait to hear how you feel 2 weeks into the program. An Instant Pot isn’t necessary for the program. It makes your life in the kitchen easier but anything cooked in a pressure cooker or slow cooker can always be cooked in a regular pot on the stove as well. I just recommend you add an extra 1/2 cup liquid to account for evaporation. That’s it :)

    Hi! All of these recipes look great! I print out the Pork Mango Bowl recipe and I’ve a question on the nutrition information. Under sugar, it says 20 grams. Is that accurate? My assumption is it’s the mango. How much salsa is your recipe using to calculate that sugar quantity? Just curious. I love mango salsa and adds a lot of flavor!!

    • @Greenhealthycooking
      @Greenhealthycooking  12 днів тому

      Yes, the sugar is the natural sugar from the mango. It's 1/4 of the full mango salsa that you prepared for each serving.

  • @suequinn8221
    @suequinn8221 Рік тому +3

    Cool recipes. How do you heat these to eat? I’m particularly curious about the one with the mango salsa. Seems you wouldn’t want to heat that… or eat the rest cold.

    • @Greenhealthycooking
      @Greenhealthycooking  Рік тому +6

      The one with mango salsa cannot be reheated unless you keep it separate. The other two in either the microwave or in a pan. I personally don’t reheat meal prep lunches and always eat them fridge cold. I also got my husband and kids used to that.

    These look amazing. I’ve been eating WFPB for 2 plus years and have recently begun adding back some small amounts of lean animal protein into my diet. These recipes look just right for me.
    Side note…your accent. I can’t place it. If I may ask, from where are you?

      I was born and raised in Germany but my mother is Peruvian and raised me bilingual. I’m married to a Mexican and lived there for 4 years, then 2 years in the UK, and for the past 9 years in Montreal, Canada. I suppose my accent has been influenced by all of it, lol

    Your 6-week clean eating program looks fantastic. Unfortunately, I'm pescatarian. Could you substitute fish/seafood for animal proteins?

    • @Greenhealthycooking
      @Greenhealthycooking  Рік тому

      Unfortunately, replacing all other animal protein will be difficult. I’m some recipes it would be easy. Anything pan-seared or oven-baked basically is easy but the stews would be much more difficult because gosh cooks so much faster. Let me go through it and think about ways to make it work.

      @@ameliabuns4058 salad is always good and weekend meal prep sessions are amazing, too. So you just have to grab a finished meal from the fridge during the week. Doesn’t have to be full meal. Even just baking like 12 chicken thighs and cooking 2 cups of rice and roasting like 2 lbs of broccoli on the weekend helps to make quick dinners during the week.

    every youtuber has the same videos.... same facts for example 4 days in a fridge... 4 portions, why? you dont work on friday?... etc... same boring recepies ...

    • @Greenhealthycooking
      @Greenhealthycooking  Рік тому +2

      Because both animal and plant protein can only be stored 100% safely in the fridge for up to 4 days. Obviously on day 5 it doesn't immediately become poisonous but the FDA's recommendations for safe food storage are obviously accounting for babies and the elderly and people with health issues. If you are a healthy adult you are at very low risk and could potentially make 5 portions (I personally do) but I cannot officially recommend it of course because there IS a slight risk involved.
