    I can't fcking believe that i'm praising a Begode wheel:
    Pad-less bundle is actually a genius move for 2024. The wheel is for enthusiasts, who know their pads stuff waaaaaay better than any manufacturer ever will. Our secondhand market is full of discarded stock pads right now.
    The C32 torque is not an issue due to new (for such a narrow magnets) high voltage pump. However for a race the lightness of spinning mass IS important. Less magnets - less mass - quicker revving up. The voltage and amps will carry the weight and headwind.
    Now, if its width between the legs is no wider than 20cm/7.5inches then i'm buying it without looking at the price.

    He says it's tons lighter than the master, the master weighs 79 lb with pads on, Blitz weighs 79 lb without pads, I see a sales scheme here. About the pads: anytime somebody buys an euc they always change out the pads, there are very few eucs that people do not upgrade the pads on. Good thing about the Blitz over the Master is that it has smart BMS and a IP rating, those should be it's selling points, also maybe the lighting along with style

      You were looking at the specs for the older versions. Alien rides' site is incorrect. They also say it has 24 mosfets because that's what the older versions had. If you do a Google image search for Begode Master V4 spec sheet, you will see that it says 43 kg. Also ewheels' site doesn't have a separate listing page for V3 and V4, so the v3 weight is listed.

    A race car driver I knew had a mantra "torque, torque, torque". Bet the same applies to EUC racing.

  • @mbelozerov
    @mbelozerov 2 місяці тому +1

    They call the motor HP32 (according to the horse power, whatever it means) not C32. They’ve said on presentation that this is the custom version of the motor (which can include a different stator iron size, as the C38 on the ET Max uses 40MM iron from the C40). In addition they said they had to make a custom motor for the high efficiency on the 2400wh and the higher speed together, so, it’s not fair to compare it with the older C32 or the C38

    • @WheelGoodTime
      @WheelGoodTime  2 місяці тому

      @@mbelozerov interesting, I don't recall them calling it that. It was particularly tough understanding what they were saying because of the language barrier and the audio quality. In any case, a friend of mine reached out to them about it, and they said they were unable to increase the torque on it because of current limitations on the controller. It's a bit of a give and take with the magnet size - the thinner the magnets, the higher speed you'll be able to achieve at the expense of torque, and the opposite is also true. The only way to achieve both super high torque and super high speed is through outside means, such as increasing the motor power rating and/or voltage, etc. I truly hope I'm wrong and the blitz is super torquey, but I doubt it since begod indicated that my suspicions were correct. But again, I hope that I'm wrong.

  • @jsthij7805
    @jsthij7805 2 місяці тому

    Valid points. Time will tell. My hopes is the torque spec is relative. No performance data just yet. It could be that lighter weight motor is able to offer still close to c40 torque spec without the need for more power.
    Roger mentioned his modded master is similar weight and stability hasn't been an issue.
    Also might not be the case tho.

  • @ZoeyR86
    @ZoeyR86 2 місяці тому +2

    i tested the master C40 and c32 motors from begode they both use N42 magnets, i feel if the C32 had N52 magnets and they cut the rotor to stator gap down by half the C32 can be more powerful than the C40 is when talking peek output, but for constant power the C40 has more copper to handle more power and heat

      Although it's not perfect or flawless by any means, I enjoy using Google gemini, their competitor to chat gpt. It may take a little bit of double checking of the fax, but it's an outstanding resource and because it's connected to the internet, they can gather a lot of data in real time, even regarding electric unicycles. Here's a fun one for you to try: ask it to explain field weakening to you in relation to electric unicycles. Or maybe try this one that I haven't tried yet: all it to explain how motor magnet thickness effects torque and top speed on an EUC motor. 🙂

    I disagree that this was made for racers. It just doesn't have the speed/torque for it.
    Instead, it seems like it might be a good mid-range city wheel that isn't too heavy, and isn't too expensive. I could see it being a popular cruising and commuting wheel for people that don't want to spend the extra money getting something like a lynx or ET max,

    There is another way to get more torque out of a motor, and that is for the controller to output more amps. And that is what Begode did.

      I weigh about 210 pounds. I ride about 260 psi when riding technical trails and hitting big jumps so I have more pedal clearance. 260 usually gives me a probably 10% sag. When I want a smoother ride and don’t care about pedal clearance as much I’ll drop it down to 240 which probably gives me 20% sag and a smoother ride. 90% of my kilometres are on single track mountain trails, blue and black diamond.
