When you watched pro golfers on TV in days gone by the golf shafts they used all looked the same.
In the modern game however, the story is very different.
Not only will you see different players using different shafts from all kinds of different manufacturers but also different shafts in different club types and even coming in all sorts of colours.
So to see what golf shafts some of the best players in the world are using in this video we do a deep dive into the ones being played by the top 100 pros on the PGA Tour across all the different club types - drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons and wedges!

I’m really surprised none of the pros are playing the Fujikura Axiom shafts yet. Every reviewer I’ve seen has really liked them

I’m sure Fujikura are hopeful they can translate their dominance with wood shafts into irons but for the moment it seems True Temper have a big strangle hold on the iron shafts of the top pros. Nippon shafts definitely finding some favour too though albeit well behind True Temper.

As suggestions go for future videos, popularity of golf by country,pga v liv(controversal) slope index ratings, most expensive courses, least expensive courses,most extrême places for golf eg iceland. Please do a complementary video on the most popular lighter shafts for regular to senior flex, e.g. Airspeeder, Evenflow, Cypher, Helium, etc.

No brainer..they swing 115mph plus on average while amateurs swing 85.

Theres quite a bit more to shaft fitting than swing speed
