Dahi Chana | दही चना | Quick Recipe | Easy Recipe | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Rest assured kyunki aaj ghar pe ban raha hai sabhi ka fav Dahi Chana😋
DAHI CHANA
Ingredients
1½ cups yogurt (dahi)
1 cup chickpeas (kabuli chana), soaked overnight and boiled with salt
1½ tbsps oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 green chillies
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1½ tsps garam masala powder
Salt to taste
A fresh coriander sprig for garnishing
Method
1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and sauté for ½ minute. Add onion and sauté till it turns a light golden.
2. Roughly chop green chillies and add along with ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté for 1 minute.
3. Add chickpeas and toss. Add yogurt and mix well. Mash a little with a hand blender and mix well. Cook for 1 minute.
4. Add turmeric powder and garam masala powder and mix well. Add salt, mix well, cover and cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes.
5. Transfer into a serving dish and serve hot garnished with coriander sprig.

As per Ayurveda, Dahi & Sabut Daal which includes Chana are Virurd Aahar , that is why Moong Daal Vada ( yellow daal ) is recommended instead of Urad Dasl Vada.
