2 Cups Kabuli Chana (400gms)
2 Onion
2 Tomatoes
3 Green Chillies
Water as needed
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
Coriander Leaves
Ginger Julienne
WHOLE SPICES
1 Dal Chini
2 Badi Elachi
4 Laung
2 Bay Leaves
1 Tbsp Salt
FOR TEA
2 Tbsp Tea Leaves
2 Cups Water
DRY MASALA
1 Tbsp Coriander Powder
1 tsp red Chilli powder
2 Tbsp Chana Masala
1 Tbsp Garam Masala
1 Tbsp Amchur Powder
1 Tbsp Kasuri Methi
TADKA
1/4 Cup Mustard Oil
1 Pinch hing
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
Green Chilli And Ginger
1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder

Pehle toh I was having serious doubts while watching ki kaise spice powders ko bhune bina aap direct ubaal rahe they 🫣 Lekin aapki Chicken brining method maine try ki hain and it has been a game changer for my biryanis ! So with that faith in ur techniques I went and tried this just today - its sooo tasty even without the tadka !!!🤩waiting for guests to arrive and then will put the tadka just before serving ! This is my new favorite kitchen tool! I tried making chole for like 4 times yet, and it was never up to the mark, but I tried this recipe today, because the way of boiling chole was like your chana dal recipe and I like that one very much so I thought I should Give it A try and I don’t regret it, finally I can say that I know how to make tasty chole now

You don't so many steps - Try a slow cooker - the flavors are awesome! You can make the masala paste and add dry chole to soak in the cooked masala paste + water for deep flavors + slow cook for 18 hours in Instant Pot.

I have a pressure cooker- prestige- which has been inuse for a couple of decades and is still in use. It builds pressure inside after closing the lid placing the weight on the lid to seal it. The instructions to use it say that as soon as the pressure pressure builds in the cooker it gives a whistle and the heat should be lowered. Now what should be the time given on the lowered heat to cook the chana. This concept of number of whistles is quite alien to me. How to convert your time to this cooker? Thank you
Firstly I would say, It will be possible if you replace it with the new one. But going to the technical part, if proper pressure develops inside the prestige, try it keeping for 15 - 20 min on med-low flame and fill a little more water.
