this deserves appreciation for comparing laptop with pc...even though we all know pc's better...still laptop looks SICK! its a killer device and a worth upgrade for your editing purpose...but considering editing only I still think you should go with mac studio at this budget. I always have my preference(student) as laptop>pc>apple. In your case I can't stop myself from mentioning mac studio.
