Thses songs remind me of the sunny 70's when we had family gatherings and there were people there that are no longer here. Beautiful song, great memories. What a song can do. Throw you back to a time. Elvis will be in the hearts of his fans and many admirers. Thank God for Elvis.

I've always said Elvis loved Prescilla from the moment he met her, she was the one he wanted to become his wife and mother to his children.
Elvis had always said in his early interviews he needed to get to know someone before he would commit to marriage, after knowing Cilla for eight years I'm sure he thought he was sure she felt about him as he did her.
as we now know apparently she was only faithful to him until 4 months after the baby was born, how hurt must he of felt,
Elvis wanted his marriage to work especially being a father too.
AS early as late 68 the marriage was on the rocks and never recovered really, Elvis called it an open marriage but i think that was just to save face, he should not however have started to try to play her at her own game, ultimately he paid the price separation, divorce and and broken heart . Any other woman he had a relationship was only a mere comfort blanket, even then we're any really with him cos they truely loved him, or for the lifestyle it afforded them.

@David Nathaniel I think that story was debunked. Apparently in 69 whilst he was in vegas, Prescilla thought she may be pregnant, he was exxsrstic she said, but it turned out she wasn't. Elvis apparently then was devastated, now that's not the reactions from a man who supposedly didn't want to be with his wife, rather the opposite I would say. Prescilla herself said Elvis wanted more children. Thing is there's been so many stories written about Elvis without him being able to give his side.

I believe Elvis Presley was dieing of a broken heart.
I really wish he would have sung these songs into the 70s concerts instead of his stuff from the 50s. He was getting too old for his original stuff. Yes, he could have thrown in a song here and there, but he needed to shift to a more mature Elvis. And shifted to more mature costumes. I almost can't watch the last 2-3 years with the capes. It's like watching 2 different people.
A lot of the choices he made, were not his
own. He did what was expected of him.
