Maybe because Stevie didn't have the best time during the RTC period of his career he never wears sleeves and always has long hair as a sort of precautionary measure 🤷 he just needs a case containing daisy dukes near by at all times. A sort of 'break glass in case of emergency' deal
My heart goes out to you Big Stevie Cool. You are such a good guy and it seems like you got the short end of the stick a lot of times with the office and the boys. I’m glad that you didn’t let that define you and you are still positive and can laugh. I appreciate the content as always.
Stevie has this authentic way of pouring his heart out using hindsight that just makes me tear up. I listen to him to adopt his attitude in this current phase of my life God bless you Stevie
Even though I haven’t heard Right to Censor’s music in 20-25 years, I still remember it so well that my head just started hurting. Best heel theme ever!
@@SantaPorter420 The funniest thing is that, if you really listen, Jim Johnston still made sure to give the theme an actual song beneath the blaring sirens & "Warning!" klaxon. He has a level of self accountability we all should have. Even when things are done to you unfairly, you have to ask yourself what could you do different. The weight gain story sums up Stevie Richards. Instead of being sour about it, he took it head on. Good Dude.
What I love about Stevie is how he does everything with 100% drive and dedication. His podcast setup is bar none better than any other wrestling podcast. Even the shows with over 100k subs. His audio and video are 10x better than anyone else’s.
Anyone going through a tough time at a place they have to be at should watch this. You’ve got a humble point of view about your own experiences, and it’s good that you can self identify and come out of the other side with so much positivity. I’ve always felt like I don’t belong in most places too, but we all get to where we need to be in the end. Cheers dude!
Stevie got the heat from the locker room at the time because nice guys are easy targets. Also, nice wresltingbios shout out, one of only two wrestling channels I watch religiously (including this one)
I feel Stevie's pain, but wished I had his motivation! I was a naturally thin person for the first half of my life, but then over time, the weight creeped up, just like Stevie said. I am more than 30 lbs (probably closer to 40) overweight, and I wish I had the attitude to get down to my goal weight... Again! Thank you Stevie for sharing your story!
I’m the opposite after being on deaths door thanks to a blood infection I’m a 40yr old guy who weights the same as a 5ft 4” girl. So I’m trying to get the motivation to get myself picked back up again and get myself in shape. It’s a tough ol life. 😂
I never used to look out for Stevie when he was wrestling but his podcast is a great insight into the human he is behind all of his characters. So refreshing to hear a podcast on wrestling with honesty and humility and without the ego of some other former wrestlers. Stevie, you are a good dude man, I wish you all the success with your pod and other ventures!
Ohhhhh...can't wait! RTC was some of your best work and *hugely* underrated. (As an aside, an RTC reboot in today's times would go over sooooooo good.)
By today's standards the RTC would be a face faction. They were so great. The clothes, music, hypocrisy, your angry dad tone, Ivory's shrill tone it all worked. Big fan Stevie, keep doing your thing
I hate that Stevie feels like an outsider in wrestling when he's proven time n time again that he respects the business and paid his dues, and rtc Would not have gotten off without Stevie as leader, his voice and tone, incredible heel work from the world's nicest guy.. apologize godfather!!!!
I never saw RTC as i got into Wrestling from 03-08 but i've watched UA-cam clips of RTC and you all did a great job and i go back to watch every so often (mostly in 240p). When Goodfather joined RTC was uploaded in 1080p, i watched it again and said that i was finally glad that RTC clips was being uploaded in HD.
I remember as a kid growing up in the Attitude Era I freaking HATED the RTC, especially Stevie Richards with the whole "It's for your own good" in ring promos. Dude was doing a hell of a job looking back at it.
@NoBody-i5o Yeah I know what you mean, Ivory reminds me of Victoria in a way not just cause I didn't appreciate them back then but also cause ironically enough they both worked with Stevie.
Retrospectively, they were actually fucking great, a huge part of the Attitude era or post-Attitude era, and Stevie Richards was awesome. He still sticks out massively in my mind during this time, more than some of the more forgettable characters and stories.
My thoughts on Callaway has always been that his name suits him. Very much a mark. Going back now and rewatching your run again in RTC have to say am a big fan of your work Stevie. Always assumed the weight gain was a character actor type of method reinvention thing. Aside from a missed superkick here and there the whole run was solid/quite good from my point of view. Absolutely no need to be harsh on yourself there Stevie. But sorry to hear it wasn't a great time in your life. Possibly related, the rewatch made me realise that my memories weren't totally complete, for some reason I had the mandela effect that both Steve Blackman and Victoria were members of the group. I'd always assumed that The Kat was replaced by Victoria. Nope. And assumed after you did a segment with him the maffafugin weapon joined. The only other thing I'd add that wasn't covered was that the whole group always had a defined shelf life due to in real life the law suit being settled and PTC paying out several million in damages to Vince. So in many ways you did that job excellently. Keep up the great work guys.
“I don’t fit in, I’m not one of them.” Wrong Stevie, you did fit in and you are one of them! You have a ton of fans who love and respect the work you put in as a wrestler, I’ve enjoyed your runs in ECW and the WWE, you’re part of mine and a lot others wrestling history.
James trying real hard to get Stevie to appreciate that Godfather clip.. maybe if he sounded halfway sincere or apologized. Maybe take his answer or lack of interest as your answer the first time
Honestly not just saying this but I've been a genuine fan of your work for many years now I have always thought incredibly highly of you and now you got the best wrestling show on UA-cam I would love to have the pleasure of meeting you one day if you come to the UK for a meet and greet I'd love it

Hi Stevie and James! I've been waiting for this one. Creatively speaking, the timing of RTC could not of been more perfect. And I both loathed the RTC but at the same time omg you were all so hilarious. And I didn't WANT to take you seriously but then you guys could just kick so much ass when the time came. It was an excellent faction. It showed how adaptible Vince is as a business man. It also showed adaptible talent could be to get heat from the fans while being aware of the censors.
When I first saw Stevie in his RTC get up I thought he was going to be a deceptively brutal heel who whines and goes on about the evils of the world then snaps and administers some atrocious beatings. He looked like D-fens from that Michael Douglas movie Falling Down
