You need to apply petroleum jelly around the edges and on the ears. And a long strip of cotton wool around the head. To by stop it from dripping and staining.
Alcohol will remove any color that runs on the skin

Same here.. product is being applied directly on the skin/scalp, no scalp protector used and the application process was incorrect; it would not be an even color..
There is a bleachingagent. It may not be called bleach but it does the same job. Aldo, youshould do the ends first to avoid hot roots. Be careful who you let do your hair.

Glad it’s a red it lifts good no matter where you start but yeah hot roots are possible with this technique
She wanted hot roots so that it would look like the all the hair was coming out of her scalp. It can be re dyed.

Good rule of thumb, but I personally always have to do it all at once. If I try doing roots last, then they end up an entire shade darker than the rest.
This dye has 30 volume cream developer which is bleach 🤦🏽♀️

Developer is not bleach.
The different numbers of developer depend on how you want the developer to penetrate the shaft.
The higher the developer number, the more levels it will life in a shorter amount of time.
Some people use developer to open the hair shaft.....for extreme deep conditioning.

The color came out really pretty but dying and braiding in one session gave me a slight anxiety attack lol

@@1204 Did you use the developer that came with the color? I'm asking because my daughter's been asking me dye my hair this color and my hair is jet black covered up my Gray hair, now. Lol but I just want to know if you use a stronger developer like a 30 or 40. It looks like a Ginger color and that's the color I'm trying to get it.
The secret with colouring naurtal hair without no bleach, the longer you leave the colour in, the better it comes out bright and nice. This colour it all depends with the hair type and colours used, but you would try it and see if it works for you better. This way leave the colour in longer next time.
I used two hair colours
The hair colour type I use
New Creme of Nature
First colour is
"C31 Vivid Red"
The second colour is
"Intensive Red
6.7"
"Warning ⚠️ before you go ahead to apply the colour do not brush your own hair"
just divided the hair into 4 parts
Now go ahead & use "C31 Vivid Red" on the root first
second hair colour which "Intensive Red 6.7" used this one the top of the hair
Once applied massage very well all over the hair and the scalp then comb the hair through please go ahead and watch the full videos short from here please

Dye should not be rubbed on the skin! You should protect the skin! Rub Vaseline around hairline first, then apply dye, and apply long cotton strip (keeps dye from leaking onto skin) around hairline, then cover.

It actually does contain a lightener. Which is bleaching the hair. But the process is less strenuous on her hair. So its more healthy for the hair.

Most box color has 40 to 50 vol in them so that no matter how dark the hair is it will still lift. Either way it's the aftercare that matters most. Keep it moisturized and use color safe paraban free shampoo and conditioners

What’s the longest you suggest you can leave color on? I recently colored my hair but I was scared so I only left it in for 40 mins still came out great though
Anything used to lighten the hair has bleach in it. Maybe not a lot of bleach but still bleach.

Box hair dyes has a lot of metallic dyes in them. The color is very pretty however check out the professional beauty supply in your area and buy the permanent color and developer for a more healthier method. Also even if it’s not an actual form of powder lightener, the hair is still being lifted and depositing that gorgeous copper color. And mostly likely the developer is 20-30 volume. Nonetheless keep up the good work and continue to expand your knowledge.

Did you layer that box dye job with a semi-rinse? I noticed that once the hair was dyed, the first application created an ashy brown color, and then I noticed you added a richer red color for the second application... That's usually how I achieve my desired color...box dye, bleach some areas for highlights, and finish with a semi-rinse for color intensity...
So pretty.
There is bleach in the dye and a strong bleach to lift black coloured hair to that level.

I don't know anything, but how about some dark coloured towels??
No banding or hot roots with box dye. Not everyone can achieve this. I’m not even looking at the braids, this color looks so good.
Dye should never be applied to the scalp and there is a bleaching agent in that product. Also, no need for the word no when using without (which is compound word)
A darker towel would be convenient
